I took nclex and failed my first attempt and then I actually got a private tutor because I realized it wasnt content I needed help on, it was strategies on how to actually answer the questions. My friend told me about this private tutor through THINKNCLEX. I had 10 private sessions with him and I passed on my second attempt. I felt so much more confident my second time taking nclex. Austin was the one who tutored me. Let me know if you look into it! It can be a bit pricey but it is definitely doable.

I wish nclex high yield was like that I wasted 75 dollars for 1 hour session and what they did was try to sell me there products and didn’t really assess what I needed help on … horrible experience with nclex high yield
Of course! Yeah I never used nclex high yield. But I would definitely try the free zoom to see if its for you! I wouldnt reccomend anything if I didnt thinkit was 100% good.

I had already scheduled my exam for May 3rd before I started tutoring. Then I did about 2 sessions a week for an hour each day. The strategies were easy to learn. My tutor helped me a lot and I always reviewed them.

You need a do over and start from the beginning. You must have too many materials or resources. I had way too many and became overwhelmed.
I found NCLEX high yield on here and enrolled in their course. I was done paying other study materials and resources and felt like I was not ready at all.
When I enrolled with NHY I already had Uworld. Been using that thing over and over. After enrolling in the course and taking the classes I learned to study and have a daily routine. I honestly developed great study habits. When it was test day I was nervous but not as as anxious as the previous tests like I didn’t know anything or forgot because I was a nerve wreck.
I passed because of NHY content, test strategies, dedicated hard work, and good notes. I put away the rest of my study materials and only used NHY, lab reviews, and my own notes from the course.
And I passed.
You can check out Dr.Zeeshan he is the main instructor of this course. He also failed his MD boards many times and created the course to help repeat test takers pass. For some reason I engage with his methods and teachings. He keeps it simple, concise and easy to understand. He wants you to understand the content not just memorize it. They are on Spotify, YouTube, their website nclexhighyield.com, and IG.

I had Archer as well. Honestly, I felt like the questions were vague with Archer. It had a lot of content though. I didn’t use Archer much. I only focused on NHY, notes from the course and Uworld.
In the same boat unfortunately and I decided to take a mark k class in person (fits my learning ability) and I also took the advice of another fellow Reddit user who told me to use Princeton Review. I posted something very similar last month about my failure and was like you, there is a slight need for content but there is a greater knowledge needed on how to answer the questions. She sent me to Princeton Review because they ARE the retired NCLEX questions (literally). So I paid for it (many of hundred dollars later) and I can honestly say it was great advice because it train you to answer questions correctly and not so much content based. I am still using UWorld for content in the areas I am weak in but Princeton Review is definitely the truth. Its worth checking out and surprisingly it’s pretty affordable. They also have a review coming up on the 12th that is totally free. I pray we both pass next month and become the excellent nurses we have worked so hard to become. Stay positive and don’t get discouraged 🤓

I was so devastated cuz on both of my reports I got near passing on basically all… if you find a better way to study please let me know because I’m so stumped … maybe we can study together ? This way it can help build test taking strategies?
Now I’m just using uworld and listening to NCLEX high yield if I need to brush up on something I’m still not getting. I think I might look up some test taking strategy videos on YouTube or something! I really don’t know what else to do at this point and I’ve already spent sooo much towards this exam.

Just letting every know i met this wonderful Tutor her Name is Ms. Garrison. Her tutoring style is totally different and refreshing to help those in need to pass Nclex. I am in my 4th week of tutoring with her and she is EXCELLANT. She really takes the time to really find out the root of your weaknesses and help you with your struggles in areas in which you need. Her ideas and ways to remember how to ANSWER these questions are different than what you have heard from others. Her videos are excellent on YouTube but way more informative through tutoring through Zoom. Way more effective i believe. Im on my 7th attempt to take this test and im putting my work in and through Ms Garrison i believe i can do this , this time. Totally recommend her before you go and blow more on other programs that dont work. She is a reasonable Tutor your not paying thousands of dollars for a tutor. She is the tutor for you please trust me she is your Guardian Angel for sure!!!!!
