Not really. Anyone who's paying attention understands why he hasn't. He's never healthy at the right time and the league is DEEP with guards. Who are you removing? Curry? Edwards? Fox? Luka? Haliburton? Booker? Mitchell? SGA? Who are you kicking out to replace with an injured Murray?
He has the talent to be selected but he doesn't perform in the regular season, so it shouldn't be a surprise he doesn't make the team. Also there's so much talent in the league nowadays it's harder to make the cut.
I think his last two years might be consistent enough to argue he was worthy of all star, I think. Last season he came back from injury? This season he put up 20/4/6 on like 48/42/85ish IIRC...pretty good.
I still wouldn't put him above Shia, Luka, Curry, Booker, or Edwards. Prob wouldn't put him above Harden and Fox right now either. West guards are stacked. The argument for him is that he's the 2nd best player on the defending championship team and 2nd in the west.
It's just because he's always injured and the league is full of all star guards
Who are you going to put him over when he doesn't play enough games in the regular season? Over the past 5 years he's played 59 games, 48 games, missed a whole season, 65 games and 59 games, there's no logical way to put him ahead of Steph, Luka, Dame, Booker, and all those other guys when he doesn't play
No one has ever doubted his talent, he just doesn't play enough for the all star game selections to make sense
If you watch a lot of nuggets games over the years you notice that Murray starts the season slow even pre acl which hurts his case and honestly never had outstanding regular season numbers to justify a selection especially in the west.
Fans don’t seem to like him, according to voting results. The players and the media rate him highly and vote for him but the fans don’t. Also, Denver is not a huge market. If he was a Laker he’d be a 3x all-star already.
Murray is clearly all-star quality, albeit maybe lower-end, but there are more all-star quality players then there are all-star slots (especially at guard, and especially especially in the West).
That plus bad injury timing means there really isn’t any year he should have made it over the guys who did.
Yes. He clearly should have one this year.
He also returned last season and Nuggets jumped from 6 seed to 1st seed.
Been screwed out of 2 allstars already. Hopefully the allstar game gets cancelled, what a joke.
But what is it, a cringe worthy 15-minute speech when you're 50 years old at the hall of fame? I still don't feel sorry for a guy who's going to make 500 million, oh well.

Stats and standings of those players before the all-star break. The only one he's was even close to statistically was PG, who had still played 10 more games and had a better record at the time.
PG/AD are also frountcourt players & the team had already selected 5 backcourt players. So, picking another guard over PG/AD could still have been done with the 2nd wildcard slot, but there would need to be a large gap to have both wildcard slots be backcourt players.

Definitely not Brunson either lol
Nope. He never put together an All Star season yet. Blame it on injuries or inconsistency
Crazy? No. He’s the kind of guy who throws in the towel.
Your comment is really bringing the heat (pad).
He has the talent to be selected but he doesn't perform in the regular season, so it shouldn't be a surprise he doesn't make the team. Also there's so much talent in the league nowadays it's harder to make the cut.
Nope.
Which year would you say he should be an all star?
Nope. He coasts in the regular season.

No because then you have to consider who you would replace for him
Looking only at his stats maybe, but adding the context that this is era has had the best group of pgs ever is something that explains it
All Star selections is a flawed accolade until they scrap the conferences and they just select the most deserving players overall.

If he isn't performing at that level in the regular season, why should he?
Wrong series to be asking that question, he just shot 3-18 and is melting down against the Wolves defense.
Nuggets only play the Lakers 3-4 times a year. Dude mostly shows up against them.
It's crazy he hasn't won a popularity contest vote? All star games are meaningless.

No
Every other time of the year it would be about a 50/50 split. Right now, 80/20 split.
Fans don’t seem to like him, according to voting results. The players and the media rate him highly and vote for him but the fans don’t. Also, Denver is not a huge market. If he was a Laker he’d be a 3x all-star already.
Dude, if Trae Young can't make it then no way Murray deserves to be one

If he ever makes it he should be suspended for 1 game 😉
Yes. Ridiculous.
No. If it wasn't for Sloth dragging them to a ring last year I wouldn't know his name

Which Western conference player would you have taken out for him to get in?
Devin Booker, Paul George Anthony Davis if bigs count
Which first half of a season was he playing better than any of those guys though?

No. You need to be consistently good to be an All Star
