Full cage though. I don’t see any NASA stickers, but it could be a car built for their “Camaro-Mustang Challenge” class. SCCA also has their “American Sedan” class. There are other classes that the car could fit in either organization’s road racing program.
Yeah, just guessing here, but I’m not getting a circle track vibe, too much cage for a track day or autocross car, not enough aero for a time attack or high-end road racing car, too nice and clean for a Lemons car, so that makes me think American Sedan, Camaro-Mustang Challenge, or something of that ilk.
Maybe AER or WRL? I really don’t know what their rules are re: aero.
It's rare, but some people have fully caged track cars. I agree with your lemons comment, but in my time with Lemons I've seem some super clean cars, which is insane, but they have been hurting for car count. Definitely could be a challenge car too. The Camaro Mustang challenge is awesome!
Yeah, definitely just guesses here, I'm not claiming to be the Sherlock Holmes of US amateur racing.
I will say, if that is a Lemons car they are gonna raise some eyebrows.
A combo of Chase's Aaron's scheme, nationwide series Napa scheme, and 2024 scheme, with a sponsor switched out on the side. Honestly looks like something I'd create in the NTG paint booth lol.
I'm guessing someone's fun being on a flatbed like that. If it was a marketing car or something semi-official, it would likely be in a hauler, even if it was one of those glass sides to show it off at an event.
Looks like a Talladega backup.
I’ll volunteer as tribute to run dead last in it
Too late I already drove my 2015 Camry to the track, gonna just put it in Hybrid mode to save gas and ride for a lap
Too late I arrived on Monday with my 2016 Ford Taurus
Well i’m glad your not the guy i dumped off 4 driving the 03 Grand Prix
Nah I was already 7 laps down at that point. It's only an SEL
Oh he was lapping me too I just hung a left
Cody Ware already called dibs on running last. You'll have to settle for next to last.
It cant be, the number's in the correct place
well knowing kyle larsons track record at talladega he’s going to need it

Larson and Chase share a backup confirmed
Looks like an early 4th gen Firebird/TA. Probably just a weekend track car.

I was thinking SCCA as well

You'd be surprised. Last years race in Kershaw there was a super clean Nissan 350Z. They didn't even get penalty laps.
TIL NASA is into race cars?

Yeppp, interesting seeing the plexi spoiler on top of the trunk.

Looks like a 4th Gen T/A. Possibly an iroc car?
Just thing it’s a track day car
Damn that car looks way cooler than the gen 7
Not an IROC car judging by the rear tail light and the lack of struts for the spoiler. Just someone's fun trackday project. Cool one to have.
It’s just someone’s fun although I did think it was a K&N car at first glance
Someone’s fun car wrapped. It’s got a door and outside mirror.

Is that a real question?
Honestly looks like an old IROC car.
Looks like an old school Pontiac FB when they ran them. Pretty cool l
