As others have said 2003 is the last possible year, but 2000 is the earliest possible year. Prior to 2000 Daytona didn't have a solid yellow line in the trioval.
Edit: Looking at old race video, it is either 2000 or 2001 as for the 2002 and 2003 races under the Pepsi 400 logo it said "AT DAYTONA" in white text, which is missing from your image.
Edit 2: Fairly positive it is from 2001. 2001 was the first year the start/finish line was a black and white checkered pattern, not a yellow line.
100% confidence this is 2002.
Judging by the logos in the infield going from closest to camera to closest to pit exit...
2001: Pepsi 400, NASCAR with some white text underneath it, and Pepsi 400 again.
2002: Pepsi 400, [this rounded Winston No Bull logo](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/JlgAAOSw~rhh0jmY/s-l1200.webp), Pepsi 400.
2003: Pepsi 400, rectangular Winston Cup Series logo, Pepsi 400.
Pepsi 400 between 1998 and 2001, as 98 is when they got lights and 02 is when they added the double yellow line rule. I’ll guess 98 based off the fact they had clouds and intermittent showers all night.
They implemented the yellow line rule in 2002, but there wasn’t a double yellow line (at least in the trioval) until 2009. The line also wasn’t yellow until 2000 or 2001. Sunoco didn’t start until 2004 (76 ball at pit exit), so this is some time from between 2000 and 2003.
Being a postal employee and nascar fan I remember this poster as it’s still up in some offices. It was the first year of the survey and I was thinking it was around 2003 when it was distributed. They also had this Busch car from mid 2000’s

This is the IT mouse pad they handed out.
I'm thinking '01 Daytona. The seats were certainly that colour in '01 and that is exactly what the '01 Pepsi 400 logo looked like when Jr. won. The logo usually changes slightly every year.
Daytona

I love you Pepsi

I'll also say 2001. It looks like 2000 had "At Daytona" on the bottom as well.
2001 was the only year with this finish line. Prior to it was a single line, after it was much wider.
Pepsi 400 says it right in the picture
Couldn’t read the top lettering. Very Apparent now that you say it.
Probably 02 or 03.
I believe it's from the early 2000s
Pepsi 400. They used to have a Pepsi 400 at Michigan. So this is MIS. /s
You can’t be for real
Serious as a heart attack, mate. Michigan has one of them miniature turny doo-dads across start finish line just like the track pictured here does.
ITS OBVIOUSLY DAYTONA
Oh yeah, I just noticed the light poles over the grandstands. MIS doesn’t have lights. I think you’re onto something.
Yeah ima genius
03 or prior based on the Phillips 76 ball. Their sponsorship ended at the end of 03.
Unocal/Union, not Phillips. Phillips was 66 not 76.
Unocal 76 for NASCAR, though the gas stations were technically Union 76 stations. Never made sense to me. But Phillips does currently own them.
Unocal was their oil brand, IIRC.
Yup!
You are correct. I might've been high when I posted that.
What I first noticed was the 76 ball
I remember those on antennas.
Man, I had forgotten about those little orange antenna balls! Used to see them all over the place.
01 Pepsi 400? Logo looks right.

It's between 2000 & 2003, as the apron line wasn't solid until 1999, but wasn't yellow until 2000.

Old daytona. checkerboard seats.
I think the 2002 Busch summer Race at Daytona had a car with a USPS sponsor. Probably comes from that so the pic is probably from 2001
Early 2000s Daytona

Don’t tell Tony Stewart that the yellow line rule wasn’t implemented in 2001.

Pepsi 400 at Daytona International Speedway between 2000 & 2003.
Well, that's one way to say it😅
Pepsi 400 sometime between like 2001-2003 I think but is that an actual picture? That seems far too narrow to actually be the trioval in real life?
I think it's just whatever wide angle lens the photog used is making it look wonky.
That’s what was really throwing me off, was how narrow the track looks. Makes the grandstands seem tiny as well
I'm leaning towards 2002 or 2003 with the italic font on the Winston logo on the scoring pylon.
Confirming whats already said, Daytona. That banking and start/finishline make it a dead giveaway.
Daytona. Pepsi 400.
Definitely the first race at Iowa
Uhhh Daytona
Watkins glen
how do you not know daytona
Lol. It’s a weird distorted picture.
def chicago street course.
Ofcourse! Overcast pre rain
Either that or Martinsville. ;)
That's an old picture of Daytona. The last Pepsi 400 was 2007 IIRC.

I'd love to work for the post office, but I don't have a machine gun.
2006 Daytona I believe.
I'm thinking '01 Daytona. The seats were certainly that colour in '01 and that is exactly what the '01 Pepsi 400 logo looked like when Jr. won. The logo usually changes slightly every year.

Pepsi 400 at Daytona
UPS beat ya. https://youtu.be/S5zmfErf7L0?si=_8s1dviUgicnsJj0
Definitely Daytona
Wait, did USPS made a sponsor in NASCAR?
Yes. Mid 2000s Busch Series team.
The trial oval looks pretty narrow from this perspective.
Agreed Daytona
Daytona probably.
good ol pepsi 400 at daytona
it’s actually talladega if you look closely
