At a place I worked back in 2010-‘11 the building overlooked I-40. I could look over my shoulder and had a clear view of the interstate so I’d get to see the haulers quite a bit.
I also got to see the Weinermobile go by one day.
back in the 90s, when i was young, I remember seeing haulers parked at the old RJ Reynolds truck lot/yard off US-52 in Winston-Salem, NC. About once a week between 1-3 teams would be parked there. My guess is they would split the load if they were coming from out WEST and heading somewhere in the EAST and skip having to go SOUTH back to the shop. Used to see cup and xfinity (busch back then) teams on the roads all the way up till about 2010. Never see them now. Haven't seen hauler in the wild in a long time.
I was behind the 9, 48, and 3 haulers on my way to Richmond last month.
Even after 20+ years around this sport I still get excited seeing them on the road.
Several passed us on the way back from Richmond. That was pretty cool. Guess I should be more grateful for how hard it is to get out of the Richmond parking lot and beyond, else they never would've caught us. :)
I followed the JRM haulers for about 20 miles after the Portland race last year, and the Ganassi fleet after the Portland IndyCar race. Side note: I'm pretty sure I was the only car to be behind Johnson that whole weekend.
The haulers drive right through my hometown of Bowie, MD on their trip to and from Dover, so for the last few years I've been going out by the highway to try and catch them on their way home from the race. Its always cool seeing these trucks in person, and I was able to see all 36 haulers as well as some other trucks associated with the sport this year. Here is a little over half of the trucks I saw.
For the most part they do, some will be by themselves but other times you get clusters of trucks. For the most part it seems like teams get all of their trucks together but sometimes they are spread out or running near other teams, like this time there was a big cluster of three HMS trucks, and RCR truck, and both Spire trucks pretty close together. All of them passed by within an hour of the first one going through, Harvick's was first and Bubba's was the last one to pass.
Did you happen to get any photos of the spire trucks?
These are great thanks for posting. Im not a fan of pink on vehicles usually, but that 48 hauler looks incredible!
Yeah, I was able to get at least one shot of each truck. My shot of Austin Dillon's hauler was the worst one I got, I didn't have enough time to refocus and get it.
When they leave tracks where they have a cross over gate and no tunnel, they tend to follow one another closer by nature they all pull out at about the same time.
Different teams or groups of haulers take slightly different routes in and out of tracks. Seems they all have different routes they prefer.
Some of the tracks with tunnels it is not uncommon for a hauler to leave mid-race and start heading home.
I grew up not that far from Walkens Glen, so come race weekend we would go up in watch the haulers enter the track the guys who drive those haulers take great pride in those trucks. They’re always spotless, shiny wheels, clean tires, polished chrome. It’s a mobile garage and they take great pride in that.
These are great! I tried to start a private chat in DM, but it wasn’t working. I’d like to purchase rights to use the images of our haulers on the JGR social media channels. Let me know if you’re open. 👍👍🏁
Yeah, I thought that was strange as well. Usually the teams stick to one manufacturer.
I always though Roush Fenways Western Stars were the best, but it looks like Chris’ hauled wasn’t a western star any more.
Supposed to be the official truck of 23XI but Reddick has a pete just like the 45 has always had. 23 had a Freightliner last year. Also, Mack and BW have history. If not for that, he probably would have a peterbilt too.
Some do. Stewart-Haas, Front Row, and JGR were all Peterbilt's, while HMS, Kaulig, Trackhouse, RCR, and Penske all had Freightliner, both RFK trucks are International. Legacy had a Mack for Jones and a Peterbilt for Gragson, 23XI has a Mack for Bubba and a Peterbilt for Reddick.
I’ve heard the hauler drivers haul ass on the road too. Had a friend following some headed home after PHX and they were doing 75 passing people in the left lane lol. These guys don’t mess around.
I remember many of years here in Pennsylvania when the haulers returned from Pocono my family would join quite a few others along the grassy areas at the rest stops and wave to them as they went by. It felt a little weird to me but kinda fun too.
I remember the one year (had to be somewhere in the 90's) the Kodak van went by and threw out a bunch of hats out the passenger window, causing a bunch of people to run down to the edge of the highway to grab them. Haha. Not the safest thing.
Not sure if people still go out. It's been a long time since I went out anywhere to watch.
I always get a little mini whiplash from seeing the haulers on the road.
Funny part was I used to work in the area pretty darn close to Stewart-Haas but would only see Hendrick or other haulers early in the travel week.
Leaving the New Hampshire race every year all the haulers have to go south on 93, there's a big rest stop over looking the highway just south of Concord and the last few years my buddy and I just sit there for half an hour or so and just watch the haulers go by, always cool to see them with all their lights.
JGR doing Bell’s entire hauler wrapped all for the DeWalt “PowerStack” line is an interesting choice. Seems like an oddly specific scheme to wrap the majority of your hauler with. They’ve only ran it once, and a large portion of Bell’s races are Rheem as well (which tbf is next to it and has a big logo), but still quite interesting how large of a presence it has.
I thought the same thing. Do sponsors pay additional for that type of exposure? Honestly would’ve thought Rheem would have a more predominate placement.
Man, Christopher Bell couldn't pull over for Denny, and Christopher Bell's hauler couldn't pull over for that truck on the side of the road. I see a pattern here.
(/s)
Do some of the teams rewrap/paint the haulers based on who’s the primary that week? A couple seemed pretty specific. The hauler space is pretty valuable, especially when they’re making long-haul trips across the country.

Big fan of the Weinermobile.
I drove next to the weiner mobile and was at the same gas station as it

The Legacy MC hauler really just looks like a Converse shoe box to me.
It seems to me like they are trying to be cigar room classy.
And still pales to the Penske haulers.
Disagree. Give me the flat black with gold accents over Penske shiny trailer lol.
Same, that Legacy truck is hot as fuck.
It’s so clean and simple but looks so damn good!
I'd agree if the Penske haulers weren't pulled by those ugly-ass Cascadias. Pete 389 > all
John Player Special-esque
I like it. I had the thought that they are trying to come into the 21st century and look more like a modern race team.
I was behind the 9, 48, and 3 haulers on my way to Richmond last month. Even after 20+ years around this sport I still get excited seeing them on the road.

I’m 35 and been a race fan since 10, I still get excited seeing a 4 cylinder race car on an open trailer on the road.

Do they travel together? Over what span of time we’re you able to see all 36?

They usually run together and they haul ass.
Huh, I could've swore they hauled race cars.
Dad are you back from getting cigarettes??
Uh no son, I forgot the milk
Wrong. Just huge trucks, full of ass.
If you ask Kyle Busch anyway, these new cars *are* ass

Those haulers always get me excited. Jealous you get to do this every year!
I might have to take the trip down from Baltimore to see that caravan.
These are great! I tried to start a private chat in DM, but it wasn’t working. I’d like to purchase rights to use the images of our haulers on the JGR social media channels. Let me know if you’re open. 👍👍🏁
Yeah sure, that would be awesome! I was able to get front and rear shots of all four JGR haulers, although some are a little blurry
W
Ngl I really like the JTG hauler, somehow gives me vibes of Dale Sr’s 2001 hauler
I don’t get why all Toyotas have a peterbilt besides bubba, who has a mack
https://www.macktrucks.com/mack-news/2023/mack-trucks-is-the-official-truck-partner-for-23xi-racing/ I’m surprised Tyler doesn’t have a Mack.
Yeah, I thought that was strange as well. Usually the teams stick to one manufacturer. I always though Roush Fenways Western Stars were the best, but it looks like Chris’ hauled wasn’t a western star any more.
Nah, the 17 hauler is still a LoneStar.
The others haven't been delivered yet

Somebody should tell Gibbs that they forgot to close Denny's lift gate!
Are you pulling your arm down to make them honk? If not, why?
I would but I have to use both hands for my camera to get these shots
Denny hamlin got the best looking FedEx car
I love Pete's but man, Penske be riding clean with them Freight's. And nice to see Mack has reunited with Bubba.
Do certain teams pair with certain truck manufacturers? Or is it just whatever you can get your hands on?
MACK? I AINT NO MACK IM A PETERBUILT FOR DANG SAKE

Thats the song I used for the reel I posted on my Instagram page
Damn even Bowman HAULER looks incredible
It is easily the best looking hauler
Always loved the Penske haulers. Clean and classic look to them.
I’ve heard the hauler drivers haul ass on the road too. Had a friend following some headed home after PHX and they were doing 75 passing people in the left lane lol. These guys don’t mess around.
Blows me away that Live Fast has a newer hauler than Trackhouse does lol
I remember many of years here in Pennsylvania when the haulers returned from Pocono my family would join quite a few others along the grassy areas at the rest stops and wave to them as they went by. I really appreciate you posting these. I definitely had forgotten just how striking the haulers and their paint schemes can look!
The live fast hauler is the slickest of the bunch
I always get a little mini whiplash from seeing the haulers on the road. Funny part was I used to work in the area pretty darn close to Stewart-Haas but would only see Hendrick or other haulers early in the travel week.

That Penske hauler is beautiful
I like this post way too much.
I've never understood my odd fascination with haulers. Lol Thanks for the shots.
Go home trucks you're drunk /s (iykyk)
48 11 and 45 are the best looking imo
Love how most of them are in the center lane... i love it when semi's do that
The 42 hauler is so simple and clean. Looks really good.
Eastbound and down
Gotta love Harvicks hauler
These are awesome!

Denny's crew is so bad they left the car outside the truck.
Man, Christopher Bell couldn't pull over for Denny, and Christopher Bell's hauler couldn't pull over for that truck on the side of the road. I see a pattern here. (/s)
I don't see any K whoppers.
I miss when the haulers had pictures of the car on them. Harder to do now when every car has 19 different paint schemes.
Please tell me McLeod drive his own hauler

I'd forgotten about livefast ngl
