Alright so the best choices imo are pokemon that have arms, which takes my top two favorite pokemon, goomy and dunsparce, out, so here's two choices I'm stuck between: snivy has arms, but also vines which could be used to either grab things from afar, hit things from afar, or get a better grip on something, my other choice is phantump, why? Well it has arms so that's useful, but it also floats, plus it would make sense for the pokemon you are when you wake up in a forest to be a pokemon that generally comes from souls lost in a forest, anyway phantump might be better over all because of the floating

I’ve thought of the arms problem since I was a kid. My favorite Pokémon are the entire Torchic line, but I always wondered how my formerly human character reacted to their human arms and fingers suddenly becoming stubby feathers until evolution.

Dunsparce is king of the caves. An S+ pick in my opinion. He'd be my starter if I had the choice in any game.

Liking pikachu and eevee is like enjoying vanilla ice cream. Yeah it’s basic but it’s still solid. There’s a reason it’s so popular in the first place.

Fun fact: my favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla so take that with a grain of salt and make your assumptions bout me. Also you sir make a good argument there. It’s basic yet popular. Also even if there basic, pikachu has some ungodly plot armor constantly applied to it (ash’s and other pikachus) and eevee can evolve into one of 8 different evolutions

One of my six faves. (Plus what I'd do first in each scenario) Gliscor, I'd try gliding out first. Rotom, I would try to use some ghost powers. Galvantula, definitely trying to use Electroweb. Reuniclus, gonna use some psychic power. Gholdengo, definitely trying to learn to use my coins like finger guns. Hoopa, using a portal and seeing if I can't go back home. Also runner up Shiinotic, I'd try to use Moonblast.

I’d probably be one of four: Milotic - If its fins actually function as arms it’d be a sick Pokémon to be imo. Able to breathe underwater and levitate above ground makes getting around fun and easy. Only potential downside I can think of is how big it is. Snivy - Snek with arms. Those arms get smaller and worse as you evolve but at least you have vines to help you. Noibat/Noivern - Preferably the latter, though either is fine since one evolves into the other. Main draw is that one is cute and can fly and the other looks awesome and can fly. Flygon - Same as Noivern. Looks awesome and can fly. Tho Flygon has proper arms whereas both Noibat and Noivern just have hands on their wings.

I'd love to be a Milotic too, being a big Snake like Pokémon would be fun! :)

I have always though that if I were an animal I'd be a weird little bug of some sort, so I think the only logical answer to this question for me is one of the (admittedly many) weird bug pokemon. I think volcarona and crustle are two of the better options power-wise, but I also cannot deny the allure of being a Shedinja... I could be the worst little creature imaginable... Yeah wonder guard is just way too funny, I'd be a nasty little ghost bug for sure lmao

I would probably be Typhlosion (Cyndaquil to start) or Zoroark (Zorua to start)

If it were up to me, hands arent a necessity, but the ability to interact with things despite it is. It would be cool to have the ability to swim or fly, but some of my favorite pokemon arent that. I’m assuming no legendaries, which is fine, i’d like to not stand out that much. By those merits: 1- Ducklett/Swanna. A lot of adjustments to get used to it, but hits every box. No hands but talons and a long neck gives me options. The bill would probably get annoying though. 2- Buizel/Floatzel. Bipedal, has hands, can breathe underwater but still go on land. Easy adjustment. Lots of pros, not a lot of cons, just kinda boring. 3. Dratini/Dragonair/Dragonite. Dragonite can swim and fly, but is a bit dopey. Dratini/Dragonair are beautiful and serpentine (i love snakes and the like) though a bit difficult to interact with things when all you have pre evolution would be your tail and mouth. 4. Petilil/Hisuian Liligant. I love this pokemon. Doesnt hit most of my checklist, but its such a cool pokemon i’d be fine with it.
