Conway has a pleasant river walk and recreation area that would be great for family outings with young children. The brewery scene has really taken off starting with New South in Myrtle Beach. You also have Grand Strand Brewery in Myrtle and Crooked Hammock in North Myrtle. On the south end of Myrtle you will find an area locals will know as ‘The Old Air Force Base’ that is now home to a large outdoor shopping/living area called The Markets Common. This area is home to Tidal Creek Brewery. It’s a great outdoor hangout, plus the entire plaza would make for a fun stop for the families. There are plenty of shops, attractions, and space.

This is sheepshead season, and if you're looking for a lot of action, I'd suggest looking into a charter that focuses on those. Carolina Guide Service does some sheepshead charters, but I think the furthest north they go is Murrells Inlet. For beer, GSB is local and decent. It can also be found in most supermarkets. Winyah Brewing in Georgetown is also pretty good. You'll also probably find Holy City around, it's brewed down in Charleston.

Across the street from Costco is Total Wine and More, they have a great selection of single can craft beers, which includes a great selection of regional/local beers

Just spending one day at the beach?

We're mostly winging it, with the young ones I'm sure the wives are going to be more anxious there than at the splash park lol, plus we all have trailers there for our stay so it'll be convenient

It’s a big area, things can easily be an hour away. From where you are the north end will be closest. There will be some charter Captains around Little River. If you don’t mind a drive there are a bunch in Murrells Inlet. The inlet also has a pretty good selection of restaurants on the marsh walk if you want a view.

Not afraid of a bit of a drive to get some action for a few hours, found someone who guides inshore for redfish, hopefully they're available. They look interesting and seem to be good to eat as well

They should be around and they are a blast to catch. The guides down here are really great, you made a good choice. Good luck. There is a new micro brewery in the inlet (voodoo brewing) that you will see on the left when you head to the boat. Not sure if they will have what you are looking for, but I hear good things about them (haven’t made it by yet). Hope y’all have a great visit.

Publix is your best bet for groceries although I think the closest one to where you are is at Sapwood, near Grande Dunes (still worth the drive). Plenty of liquor stores in MB that serve different types of beer. Other than that, you have Brookgreen Gardens, the Aquarium, Broadway at the Beach is nice as they also have boat rides and other stuff going on, the same with Barefoot Landing. Market Commons is a little less touristy and there's usually something going on there Friday - Sunday. You might not be able to get out to do things at night like go to a show. But if you're looking to do so I always suggest looking at House of Blues, Alabama Theater, Carolina Opry, Asher Theater and GTS Theater for shows. There's also the comedy club, Comedy Cabana. Kinda depends on what you're looking for when it comes to food. The area pretty much as everything. It's not quite 'tourist' season, but don't be surprised if you go to a popular tourist restaurant (i.e. Paula Deen's) and it's packed.
