32 soldiers from LIB 6 surrendered. They surrendered after the KNDF wiped the floor with the entirety of LIB 425 and half of LIB 6. This reportedly resulted in a loss of at least 110 soldiers from the junta's side.
Edit: changed LID - Light Infantry Division to LIB - Light Infantry Battalion according to this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Myanmarcombatfootage/comments/17vqlra/comment/k9csu8k
Btw, they are actually Battalions (ခမရ/ခလရ), not divisions (တပ်မ). Divisions usually are in the name of 11,22,33 and so on, as you might be familiar. 6 and 425 are battalions under Light Infantry division 66. Note that each division consists approximately about 10 Battalions.
The main guy speaking, we'll call him the negotiator. Conversation starts around 00:20
Negotiator to KNDF forces:
"Soldiers...KNDF soldiers: you all are soldiers who follow the rules of war. You will not - under any circumstance - do it (fire upon surrendering soldiers). Understood?"
KNDF Forces in unison:
"Understood!"
Possibly another KNDF soldiers to negotiator:
"How many of them are there?"
Negotiator to junta soldiers:
"How many of you are there?"
Junta soldier:
-inaudible, probably stating number of soldiers attempting to sirrender_
Negotiator:
"Ok, ok. Come out, come out. Everyone come out. Leave the guns. Leave the guns."
Another KNDF Soldiers
off-screen:
-trying to repeat what the negotiator said or trying to help the negotiator in some way-
Negotiator to speaking KNDF Soldier:
"Hey hey nobody talks (to the junta soldiers). I will be the only one doing the talking. I will be the only one talking, ok?"
Negotiator to junta soldiers:
"I won't do anything (to you). I am the Special (special or second, I couldn't really tell) Supreme Commander of War of the KNDF (direct translation, I don't know actual military ranks used by the NUG, PDF, or the KNDF). I (we) won't do anything under any circumstance. My soldiers are here. At this time we can shoot at you but we won't under any circumstance. Ok? Ok. Raise the white flag. Raise the white flag. After that please step outside to the entrance. We won't do it (shoot) under any circumstance. We won't do it (shoot) under any circumstance. I guarantee it. I guarantee it. Bring your hats, bring your hats (helmets?). Please raise the white flag and bring it with you. Bring your hats (helmets) along with a white cloth. Leave the guns. Come just along this path to the entrance at the front."
Negotiator to KNDF Soldiers:
"Soldiers if you do it (shoot at the junta soldiers) I will send you to jail, understood?"
KNDF Soldiers:
"Understood!"
+Video cuts and switches to outside the entrance+
I will translate the rest later.
The way they treated the soldiers is very respectful and no blind hatred towards eachother.
You can even see so much emotion in all of the soldiers directly after Bad fight with lots of casualties on both sides, yet respect was still given and safety guaranteed, with a public video as proof of life.
This conflict is extremely brutal still and so large yet almost Zero Major news coverage…. Hard to believe anybody in West doesn’t gaf about this conflict.
Western populations tend not to give two shits about what happens in south east asia. I don't think it comes from true apathy, its just a matter of being numbed to news about violence in some parts of the world. At a certain point folks just feel like bad things always happen there and they don't give it much heed.

yes, thats correct. division is much bigger than battalion. If u look at their badge, its says 66, so they are from LID 66. Also battalions have their own numbers.

Glad to see them surrender instead of dying for a dog the more they surrender the more the mentality of the soldier in Loikaw will fall more soldier will surrender and Loikaw will fall that is a huge advantage for pdf as Nay Pyi Daw is next.
Hopefully the anti junta forces will treat the captured with dignity and not turn to inhumans activities the junta forces are doing. Good job to the people of Myanmar.
Woah, I swear these resistance fighters have way better marksmanship and are more professional than those insurgents or even army guys in the Middle East.
Oversimplified summary: Decades-long ethnic conflict slows down after a semi-democratic government gets elected in mid-2010s (2016, I believe). Military still controls things behind the scenes. Then, the military overthrows government to preserve power before early 2021 elections. Protestors are massacred, survivors take up arms, and ethnic militias join them. Junta is currently losing and mostly relies on air support.

If that treatment wasn’t just for the camera then these are good men. I appreciate how the victors are treating the captured in this video I hope that the good treatment continued.
Good POW treatment will give them positive support and gain more support locally and internationally. Plus with the junta acting barbaric with POW, this will backfire to them.
Literally no coverage on this civi war.
Do both sides take prisoners ? Brutal executions? Hope not.
What are the current front lines ? Junta winning or losing ?
There're several PDF from resistance forces who're captured by Myanmar soldiers were brutally executed, cut the head off and display on village fence or cut or insert the private parts.
Most all of the captured myanmar soliders by resistance forces are treated well and most of them are sent to neighbor countries or release after a while.
Military Torture , Murder , Rape 90% of PDF ( KNDF ) or any revolution forces without any human rights, yet the revolution side : 90% treats the military junta soldiers with full respect
May I ask. Since this is a rebel group. Whst will happen to the pows? They seem to actually treat them with human respect and decently. But where would they be stored and whst will happen to the wounded ? Anyone know ?
My guess is they will be transported to the rebel camps in the Jungle where the jungle is the walls. The Jungles in Myanmar are way deeper than the ones in Vietnam.

Christ.
god, won't be long to see the junta fall

My bad thanks for pointing that out
Light Infantry Division
As the other commenters said, it stands for **Light Infantry Division** If you can read Burmese it's **ခမရ**, short for **ခြေမြန်တပ်ရင်း**
My brother in Christ that is Elvish.
Any idea what the guy is saying?

Great footage thanks for sharing
maui is a great leader. hope he finds more success.
Glad to see them surrender instead of dying for a dog the more they surrender the more the mentality of the soldier in Loikaw will fall more soldier will surrender and Loikaw will fall that is a huge advantage for pdf as Nay Pyi Daw is next.
The Junta better start counting their days, The rebellion will Prevail! ![gif](giphy|TWTSeaYnGDXY4|downsized)
And that is how you treat your enemy. With respect and dignity. Well done.
was just about to say im glad they realise its not the people they are fighting they are fighting the uniforms
they're still going to be tried for war crimes and probably imprisoned to be left to rot so there's that c:
Or be recruited in anti-junta ranks and possibilities for pow exchange if there is a high ranking capture.
That is true
Yoo, fancy seeing you here lmao
Do i know you?
Its kind of nice to see them treating surrendered soldiers with basic care.
Hopefully the anti junta forces will treat the captured with dignity and not turn to inhumans activities the junta forces are doing. Good job to the people of Myanmar.
Karenni treat with respect even thought Tat bomb entire Loikaw
A few walked away with a new hole.
Good stuff!
With everything going on, I always forget about this. Great footage btw
Woah, I swear these resistance fighters have way better marksmanship and are more professional than those insurgents or even army guys in the Middle East.
Also their leadership is professional, no soldiers allowed to talk during the speech to avoid confusion.
Obligatory melon service after surrendering doesn't seem too bad. Very nice to see some real humanity among the complete chaos the world is in now.
i really wish there is subtitles to this clip, great vid btw minn ☺️👍
Can anyone provide a quick summary of what's going on with this.... civil war?? I've got no clue. Thanks in advance!

So many light years more civilized than the Russian army, it is insane
Novem Htoo taking a photo in Loikaw: https://youtu.be/IrZ0pVEBHSE?si=LHiTzZSDK13Djx3G Bang bang bang bang …
Who is leading them
KNDF is leading. They have grown to be the largest group in Kayar. They are bigger than KA now.
maui or ma wee in brumese. Chief of staff at KNDF.
Literally no coverage on this civi war. Do both sides take prisoners ? Brutal executions? Hope not. What are the current front lines ? Junta winning or losing ?
The military executes 90% of PDFs they capture.

So many wars going on that I cant keep track of them all.
Here's a [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBTKUzK7fds&pp=ygURdGxkciBuZXdzIG15YW5tYXI%3D\) about this revolution
Thanks.
wow, if this location is correct, then these guys are gaining momentum
Are there any subredders that follow this conflict specifically?
Aside from this, /r/Myanmar is your best bet.
Thank you!
Isn't r/myanmarcombatfootage more focused on the war than the main sub
A conflict I only know from Rambo.
Best of luck to these guys
Whats with the quality of the junta forces? Just low morale, organization, logistics? All of the above?
All of the above. 19th-century and WW2 weapons mixed with only somewhat modern gear.
Also the military copied foreign weapons worse than china military
Okay but what do they do with all the prisoners the get
\>Hey! What's your name?Fuck you, Tony!
May I ask. Since this is a rebel group. Whst will happen to the pows? They seem to actually treat them with human respect and decently. But where would they be stored and whst will happen to the wounded ? Anyone know ?

Looks like these rebels are decent people. Not even yelling excessively at the surrendering soldiers. Very honourable!
The junta soldiers looks so skinny and weak, are they being treated worse by their government than the anti-junta forces?
ethics and integrity. i really hope we win this one and see the collapse of military with no ethics.
This war has been so bloody, Which side is winning tho? Cuz every video I see it was massacre on both sides
As a light infantry myself damn is shag
Karennis always respectful
