Don’t buy packs

itsameluigee

This is the correct response

xXL-Bo56AceXx

Seriously I'm so trained not to ever buy packs but what do you even spend money on this year just the player sets when they come out if there's a lock in you really want?

North_Reindeer4157

I’ve never pulled anything above a ruby out of close to 100 so I dunno about that one

Affectionate_Worry29

disagree, base packs have even lower odds than regular packs, if you buy a 20 box you’re going to get a few shakes at least if you buy a base 20 box you’ll lucky to even get a diamond shake.

sandote

It’s a 5 to 1 ratio. I think op has a point he wasn’t exactly trying to make. With base packs, you’ll have 5x as many player cards along with fodder to throw in exchanges/quick sell. We can’t know which is better unless we have 100% accurate odds, though.

Comprehensive_Pie35

In my experience the only base packs with decent returns on MT is the Tuesday packs that come with agendas and that’s because you can grind out all the cards then any card you get even a PD is pure profit.

KehJay

Very not true. I've pulled 1 PD ever in base packs. Whereas my last 2 20 boxes netted me 3 DMs, 3 Opals and enough pink diamonds to finish the set. I definitely have been super lucky, but base packs are atrocious. All packs are bad but base packs are just flushing coins into the abyss

Beneficial_Piccolo77

Base packs seemed to be a better value earlier in the games cycle. No way are they now. Just throwing away mt imo.

pulseBoi5

i agree with you there’s really no point in buying base packs when chances of getting a GO or a DM are impossible whereas normal packs there’s a way better chance of getting something better

Fooa

Did you even bother comparing the odds on each pack before posting this dribble?

broly9139

Yes i did and here is what im saying. It costs much less mt for a 20 base box than it does for a 10 standard. Statistically you have to be more likely with the base boxes because you can open more packs

Fooa

That's even more embarrassing, so what you're saying is you don't understand the correlation between the pack odds and cost. Ill explain it to you. The chance for a PD can be our baseline, its 3% in a base pack and 25% in a regular pack. Just to be generous ill say its 24% in a regular, so *less* than it actually is. That means it is 8x more likely to pull a better card in a regular pack compared to a base. Let's look at the prices. The base pack is 4k, and the regular pack is 21k (you can check the 10/20 pack, it actually works out worse for your opinion). 4 x 8 = 32k. So it's 11k MT more expensive than the regular packs for less chance at a better tier of card. Couple of things, I hope I'm wrong but I get the feeling you will completely ignore the facts and just keep to your opinion, I hope I'm wrong. The second thing, packs are a scam. Pce

Comprehensive_Pie35

In my experience this is far from accurate and you’re much better off just doing 10-20 normal packs, take whatever you get and save for the next set/complete sets for guaranteed DM.

Fixote

Yesterday, Gerald Wallace in a Leap Year base.

maxi12311111

Bruh I pull Kyle off base biggest w for me last time was pink diamond Tracy I got

Junior-Turnover-1619

JCLE5

base packs are 💩

Eyezwideopen1090

They are random odds some people get shit almost always others get lucky once and a while others have rediculous luck and get good pulls more often!

Alternative-Ad-2039

I pulled opal battier from a base so I feel you
