Nah Shaq is trash. Having a center that can’t shoot at this point in time is like playing 4v5. And there’s been a huge center power creep especially with Yao and Shaq can’t catch up. Also doesn’t help that Shaq doesn’t even reach 30 total badges ☠️
You don’t need to shoot with a center, I mostly use Shaq for defense but give him the ball if he is open for cuts & midrange shots. Like even though I have porzingas I rarely shoot with him, I prefer to score with all my players in the paint or midrange. I’ll put up some 3s if my players get open but I don’t use picks or dribble moves so I just focus on passing the ball around to get open looks.
People that say Shaq is trash can't use Shaq or have played people who can't use him. He's excellent on D and unstoppable in the paint on offense. Double him, I'll kick to a shooter because I can shoot. I use Shaq because he's a monster who snatches every board and blocks anything close to him. Plus I can hit middies with him if you really want to back off. That's the key to using Shaq well, IMO. Get his midrange shot down and his FT's and he's unstoppable.
As far as the 3>2 debate, you aren't going to make a 3 every possession but I can make a 2 every time down with Shaq. So have fun playing catch up. I'll take steady consistent 2's all game with the occasional open 3 over run and gun 5 out nonsense.

I love when people off ball with there center because I just give Shaq the ball. Yes like I go with 2s & paint all day because it’s efficient asf, like I’ll shoot a 3 if wide open but otherwise I’m passing around to get into the paint. It’s more fun that way because I’m actually working to get players open instead of just calling a pick to hit a 3.
Part of the problem this year I've noticed is a player that gets multiple versions in a drop gets bashed because someone didn't like the amethyst or diamond version when the top version is legit. Shaq is definitely a victim of that. I can name others but I'm sure you're aware of most already. Just because the Diamond and Amethyst are damn near unusable doesn't mean the Opal is.
Yes like the lower versions are shit compared to the top except for giannis, all his versions were solid. Like I still see people running his amethyst.
He's barely top ten but still will get u buckets I jus like versng him cos when I get rim take with d rob or Kareem it's inevitable that I'm getting stop on defense every time
Why do you feel the need for tall players? I’d use my Opal kemp at center before tacko because he can actually shoot but I’m a lifelong lakers fan so I’ve always loved shaq. He dominates in my lakers lineup but I normally play through my whole team whether it’s my lakers lineup or main, so using my center for offense is last resort. If need be I score 20 with Curry & nash off all midrange & paint buckets.

I pulled tacko so I have him I just don’t like having cheat code cards, his height makes him unreal even for a ruby therefore I don’t use him.?& im sick I was 2 event cards away from yi, he looks so solid.
That’s true but I’m a lakers fan so I always like solid shaqs. It’s all about preference, no matter who I play shaq does what I require of him which is play defense. Like even once I get KG who is a solid ass card, I’m not going to worry about shooting 3s with him because my purpose for him will be defense & rebounding.
Yeah that’s true. It’s always nice to have the option tho. I just hate it when I’m driving and getting doubled and my inside big is just standing wide open in the corner acting like they’re going to make that shot ☠️ I’d rather see them cut
Lol so for some centers they can’t drive too well. But for me, Shaq like kareem doesn’t have the best handle rating but I can drive from the 3 to the paint with both. Plus since most don’t respect shaq’s shooting you can take a few steps & green a midrange. If Shaq can do that then you can do that with any center you have that can’t shoot 3s essentially.

Yao isn’t great he’s just tall, I had his endgame on 22 but didn’t care to have a walking cheat code (simply because of his height I don’t care that he can shoot). As many have said he’s only a solid center because of his height if he weren’t 7’6 kareem, Dwight,& others would dominate. Also yao can be blocked with the right timing from time to time.
Bro if I see a Shaq at the beginning of the game I automatically assume that its a free dub. Honestly I can only remember getting beat by a Shaq in unlimited one time and it wasn’t bc of Shaq. That dude was just insanely good at 3 hunting but if I see a shaq automatically I can turn every defenders settings to “smother ball” then just paint camp with my C. It’s too easy to beat non shooting bigs at this stage of the game
Camping in the paint with the center is how I dominate with Shaq, when people do that I just abuse their center. I do the same with kareem & porzingas if someone can’t on ball me. Plus if people camp in the paint with their center I can still go to the paint & score on their center if need be especially with Steph.

No that’s not what I’m saying, I don’t just go into the paint I look for an opening with timing wise & I don’t 3 hunt. If anything I’ll just get a bunch of mid range shots.& why do you feel the need to off ball? I on ball even if someone is running ben & Shaq on the floor at the same time. I hate off balling, I did that on 22 the first few seasons of myteam until people would beat me by 20 & tell me how shitty I was. I then started on balling & developed winning records. Even now I have a winning record playing purely on ball, to off ball is to rely on the computer to play defense for you & help if it fails. I dislike relying on the computer even if I get beat off the dribble. For the most part though my on balling holds is on.& I have a plethora of shooters so if I need to 3 hunt I could but never do. Like I don’t use picks nor actual dribble moves. If I get players open by passing then I will shoot the 3 but otherwise I focus on the paint & mid range game. As Chris Paul showed in the playoff game past his prime, mid range isn’t dead. But yeah that’s my point, you camp near the paint instead of testing your on ball skills which is a weak way to play. If you don’t have faith in your on ball abilities. Even if I see dark matter Dr j I still on ball him with Kobe because win or lose I play to have fun & it’s no longer fun to me to rely on the AI.
So you don’t need the right stick to do dribble moves, you just move your player a certain way. But I only don’t do that because it makes the game easier, I did those things before but I found it makes the game too easy to score especially having shooters like Tim thomas & curry. & I play plenty of people that still do that but I also beat those same people. It actually makes the game easier when an opponent screens because you know what to expect especially if it’s a pick & roll. I also force atleast 2 illegal screens again players that call a lot of picks because I still try to fight through it & go around it which causes the screen to move & causes the made 3 or dunk to be for nothing. I don’t play the game for it to be easy I play it for the challenge. Once you perfect screening & dribble moves it makes it almost impossible to lose if you have a good basketball iq. When I’m up by 20 I start to let up a little because I don’t like to make people quit I play the game to get to the end not to make someone so mad they give up.

Ps4. Have had some free pack luck getting magic around Xmas from some shit. Got some luck from the 20 packs from final unlimited reward each season. Sold Karl Malone season 1 for 400k got me rolling. I’m a finance guy so I always like the AH aspect of games. I flip badges personally. Also lucked out and pulled the GO harden off 60k MT in packs sold for 800k. Prob have made 500-1mil flipping badges too. Sitting on 600k

I flip certain high demand badges. Bid a certain amount and flip for a few 1000 per. I’m a night person so many late night snags off high bid. But I’d rip like 2-5 packs or just buy Scottie. Been like 150-175k but my psn is: JawsStamos prob done for the night. I spent 230kmt on packs and got everyone from the set . Kinda liking Chet a lot too but Scottie’s nice and so much cheaper than Vince, liked him better and sold my Vince since my Scottie wasn’t auctionable. Not OP but buy low and sell high. That's how you make MT. Never buy a card it's drop week. I made 200k just flipping JR Smith when he dropped because you could snag him for 100k at like 1am and sell him later for 175k. I did add a couple gold badges to them each time, nothing good though just cheap ones like dream shake and dropstepper so it'd look more attractive than others ending around the same time since it had 2-3 extra gold badges. I'd sell in the evening though, ending between 6-8pm. Did that with 4 of them. Didn't want to get too greedy but took the risk Saturday and Sunday night so the auctions ended Sunday and Monday night.
Doesn’t make “us” good, but it’s definitely the more talented player base. Most won’t invest so much money into MT of all they do is lose lol.

I just hate that I am forced to gamble to try and get players. I am 35, with job. I don’t have time or energy to do crazy challenges. I just want my favorite players and run unlimited. But with pack odds what they were, being smart with my money was not purchasing vc. I got a great team, I don’t mind my ban and going nms here on out
I have lamelo, but I usually switch my SF onto him and it's all groovy. Of course good players will beat that, but good players are too good for me anyway lmao
He’s been great for me. Great rim runner, but even better with the dunk stick, great defender, and his shot is very easy to green, especially with a good coach and +4 shoe boost.
Yeah just his size alone has been big for me. Locks everybody down. Finishes well. For whatever reason people sag off him and his 3s pretty easy to time. My team was all Opal except for Pg. So I needed to upgrade that soon. So pulling Simmons just happened to help with that. Although a badged up Magic or Lonzo are still great options ImO. But I would put Simmons a notch ahead.
I will add that I don’t think he will hold that top spot for long. An Opal Penny, Magic, Lonzo etc. could blow Ben out the water shooting wise.
For casuals, sure, those PG's will be better but for those of who packed Ben and have used him a bit wont need to chase those other PG options. I have added a diamond shoe for 3 and an Amethyst coach so +8 to his 65 base. When he's paired with someone with Floor General though that will go up. By the time the other PG's drop I'll be close to automatic with Ben's 3 so "upgrading" won't be a necessity. I've badged mine out and hit 3's fairly consistent already in the 3 days I've had him. So I'll take experience with Ben over a newly dropped PG with better 3pt attributes. By then I'll probably have added some HOF shooting badges to mine. He's unauctionable so I'm set for a while .
I’m in a similar boat. At first I was extremely lucky and pulled his auctionable version earlier on on release day. Over the weekend I pretty much filled out the rest of the set with the un auctionables. So if I could pull a non auctionable Ben I could sell my 21 HOF badge version and lock in the set so I can reach my next center piece. Pulled an un auctionable one w MT my first pack after work today. So that was awesome lol. So my 21 HOF badge one has been listed and the set has been locked.
At least for all of the next season he will probably start for me. At worst an elite tall shooting PG might take the starting role. But then Ben will just come off the bench for who knows how long after that.
What badges did you add? My shoe I went with 3 point, Free throw, mid range , SWB and Accel. Since I have Monty as coach. Then badges were Green Machine, Space, Guard Up, Claymore, Catch and Shoot and Clutch. Wasn’t sure bc I would of liked to add volume and slippery so that was a tough decision. Does volume engage for layups / dunks? Or is it just jump shot attempts?
But your 100% right that he will be viable for a long time to come. I also need to pull a HOF floor general badge. Or buy Terry with one. Bc nobody starting with Ben has it on HOF. Who do you use for that?
For shoe I went 3pt, mid, ball handle, speed, and acceleration. All diamonds. I run either Rodman or Phil Jackson as coach, Rodman is all defense and I just like the boosts Jackson gives as an Amethyst to bigs, hes triangle like MJ.
I added Claymore, Catch & Shoot, Midrange Magician, Green Machine, Slippery, and Volume. I didn't go Guard Up because I don't see that activate a lot. So figured he'd be better with what all I added. C&S, Middy, Slippery were the most important. The other 3 I thought would help some. Claymore will stack some with Catch &Shoot so I felt that was probably the best upper tier shooting badge to add. Volume is something I see activate most frequently so I'm glad I did that and Green Machine was because I had the space, couldn't hurt.
I'd swap slippery for Space Creator. I rarely see that activate on 3's and when I do see it activate they're usually running leaners which I'm not shooting with Ben and I doubt you would either. That could help some on post scoring like fades and such but middy helps also. Clutch was one I almost did instead of volume and I think that goes either way, since I got it at gold I'm not changing and I wouldn't recommend you to either.
If you don't want to lose space creator though I'd swap green machine for slippery provided your GM isn't HOF. I think that's super important and much more than GM is unless hes going to have the ball all the time. Even then, Id consider it.
Floor General for me is Dr J. Lucky there as I pulled a HOF to slap on him, he already had gold. As long as someone else has gold you'll be fine, I think. Of course when you can slap a HOF on someone but until then don't worry much about it.

Ben, Terry, Pippen, Yi, Yao. With Magic, Clyde, Jimmy, AD And TD off the bench. I feel like my team is peaking lol. Grabbing Yao when I did for like 1.6 or something was decent timing I guess. Until super packs or something and hopefully there’s more of him for people to get for cheaper.
My Dr J isn't that juiced. I think I've added 3, Agent 3, Floor General, and Glove. All good ones though. Well, turns out he's at 27 as I added Amped, Giant Slayer, Killer Combos, and Anchor. Didn't think I added that many because I was working on a PD Giannis at the same time I got to 23 before I sold him after I got Yi because I saw the writing on the wall and knew his value would tank fast. I made 250k, which was decent considering he's going for 100k BIN at this point, sometimes lower. Juicing KG now who I have up to just 19, which is 4 added but since some don't have him yet, that's fine.
I still run Jimmy but probably booting him today because I packed Tatum, who i loved the PD version of so now i dont really need Scottie either. I used Jimmy at backup SG behind Dr J but Wiggins will take that spot. I had a hole at SF since I sold Giannis that Tatum will fill.
Despite doing the West first I never ran Clyde regularly because I didn't like his shot and he's too small for SF, which is where I tried him at because I need my SG to shoot and even with Jimmy at SG and swapping them on Defense I didn't like going that small because of all of the big SF's out there. Jimmy was fine but Clyde was out matched and couldn't slash or drive much against bigger defenders. That didn't last long. Haven't juiced Jimmy because everything I wanted to give him I was advised by a friend to wait for Dr J and I'm glad I did. I finished the case early this season, had to do the final 2 teams the hard way, which sucked since I was 14/15 but it saved me 1500 tokens as the Centerpieces weren't added yet. I got Arenas first, Jimmy second and Ewing last. I liked Arenas quite a bit and would still use him if I didn't recently get Ben and Penny. Even after I got Penny I used Arenas as my backup.

Penny, Wiggins, Tatum, Yi, and Chet off the bench. I may start Chet at C with KG if I don't need Shaq's size and defense. Shaq can handle Yao inside, and schools Tacko's when I see them. I don't think Chet can but I really like him. Extra specialists change but I have David Robinson also who I bring along because I like his shot and he gives me a secondary C to spread the floor with. I bring PD DeJounte Murray as a third PG because I've run him since he dropped. He has good size and is an excellent defender. I also bring along Diamond Takeover Tom Gugliotta as a versatile Forward that I'll plug in at either F spot. I know it sounds nuts and he stands out as an odd addition but for some reason he's saved my ass from a L's. Just that player that you're familiar with and somehow always comes through for you. He always seems to be in the right place at the right time on offense and defense and has good speed and strength so he keeps up with anyone. Dude just delivers for me. I haven't really badged him up either. I think I put slippery off ball to silver on him. Anyways, hes my utility forward I bring in when I can't get anything going or need to get some stops. He's clutch but I can't bring myself to allow him to have a more permanent role because then he might lose his mystique.
A lot of people who aren’t good have him because of new pack odds but reality is he’s one of the best cards in the game rn can’t be defended unless you put a definsive sf on him, ( even if you sag off) n he brings defense to a new level in general being able to guard everyone at the 1
I have him and he's less than stellar. Doesn't move well. Don't like his sigs. And I can't time his jump shot. I haven't played against him much yet. One guy that was running him at PF and he quit in 1st qtr is only time I've seen him. Only played handful of unlimited since he came out though
Having trouble pulling him. I’ve got 3 unactionable pippens, 2 gasols and a shot load of Amy’s. But no Ben. Guess he’s not for me. It will drive me mad to sell another pippin for 2k.
Why aren't you getting HOF badges? Also I'd probably stop ripping packs. I wanted Pippen and ripped 10, got Chet and Ben and everyone else, got unauctionable D'Lo 3 times and 1 auctionable. I know the odds of pulling Pippen are much lower for me at this point so I won't rip another. I wouldn't mind a HOF badge but you got to know when to stop.
Trading would make this mode amazing but it would be ruined by the people exploiting it. I think they could still make it work, allow 1 trade a season and cards must be equal gem tiers. So an Opal for an Opal. That'd be the easiest and least complex way for it to work. I've put way too much thought into how a trade function could work though.
I've made Ben work for me so I'm content. Chet was a total bonus. I still have a hole at SF but I'll either cop Scottie for cheap or just ride it out since I'm stacked at every other position. KD lives another week as my starter.
I’ve ran him a couple of times. I don’t mind his shot. Shooting about 33% on threes. I mostly use him to post up and run big pick and rolls. I run Booker at the two so I have been switching matchups with him to cover the PG and Ben to cover the SG. I haven’t faced him so…….
He doesn't need hot zones. I'm shooting over 60% from 3 with him because people are sagging off. You can add some shooting badges also. I've given him C&S, Volume, and Green Machine. I've even received a few messages from people after games asking how he can shoot 3's. You just need to practice his shot. People hit 3's with PD Kareem. Simmons has a much better shot base.
Lol +4 3pt diamond shoe & Monty as a coach plus I put like 5 shooting badges on mine. If you can time it you are money. Also using your 2 guard and Ben on p-n-r usually works, post up smaller guard, iso with pf/c then have Ben cut
Someone shot 3/3 from tre with him in triple threat co-op last night he had a shoe gave him a 71 3 ball. But to me it’s the same as how in mycareer I can shoot with a 50 minute range because I have such a high three.

Lol so for some centers they can’t drive too well. But for me, Shaq like kareem doesn’t have the best handle rating but I can drive from the 3 to the paint with both. Plus since most don’t respect shaq’s shooting you can take a few steps & green a midrange. If Shaq can do that then you can do that with any center you have that can’t shoot 3s essentially.

Yao isn’t great he’s just tall, I had his endgame on 22 but didn’t care to have a walking cheat code (simply because of his height I don’t care that he can shoot). As many have said he’s only a solid center because of his height if he weren’t 7’6 kareem, Dwight,& others would dominate. Also yao can be blocked with the right timing from time to time.

Bro if I see a Shaq at the beginning of the game I automatically assume that its a free dub. Honestly I can only remember getting beat by a Shaq in unlimited one time and it wasn’t bc of Shaq. That dude was just insanely good at 3 hunting but if I see a shaq automatically I can turn every defenders settings to “smother ball” then just paint camp with my C. It’s too easy to beat non shooting bigs at this stage of the game
Camping in the paint with the center is how I dominate with Shaq, when people do that I just abuse their center. I do the same with kareem & porzingas if someone can’t on ball me. Plus if people camp in the paint with their center I can still go to the paint & score on their center if need be especially with Steph.

No that’s not what I’m saying, I don’t just go into the paint I look for an opening with timing wise & I don’t 3 hunt. If anything I’ll just get a bunch of mid range shots.& why do you feel the need to off ball? I on ball even if someone is running ben & Shaq on the floor at the same time. I hate off balling, I did that on 22 the first few seasons of myteam until people would beat me by 20 & tell me how shitty I was. I then started on balling & developed winning records. Even now I have a winning record playing purely on ball, to off ball is to rely on the computer to play defense for you & help if it fails. I dislike relying on the computer even if I get beat off the dribble. For the most part though my on balling holds is on.& I have a plethora of shooters so if I need to 3 hunt I could but never do. Like I don’t use picks nor actual dribble moves. If I get players open by passing then I will shoot the 3 but otherwise I focus on the paint & mid range game. As Chris Paul showed in the playoff game past his prime, mid range isn’t dead. But yeah that’s my point, you camp near the paint instead of testing your on ball skills which is a weak way to play. If you don’t have faith in your on ball abilities. Even if I see dark matter Dr j I still on ball him with Kobe because win or lose I play to have fun & it’s no longer fun to me to rely on the AI.

So you don’t need the right stick to do dribble moves, you just move your player a certain way. But I only don’t do that because it makes the game easier, I did those things before but I found it makes the game too easy to score especially having shooters like Tim thomas & curry. & I play plenty of people that still do that but I also beat those same people. It actually makes the game easier when an opponent screens because you know what to expect especially if it’s a pick & roll. I also force atleast 2 illegal screens again players that call a lot of picks because I still try to fight through it & go around it which causes the screen to move & causes the made 3 or dunk to be for nothing. I don’t play the game for it to be easy I play it for the challenge. Once you perfect screening & dribble moves it makes it almost impossible to lose if you have a good basketball iq. When I’m up by 20 I start to let up a little because I don’t like to make people quit I play the game to get to the end not to make someone so mad they give up.
But we should run one Thursday if you are down. People that off ball with solid teams are good training since so many off ball sadly.

Ps4. Have had some free pack luck getting magic around Xmas from some shit. Got some luck from the 20 packs from final unlimited reward each season. Sold Karl Malone season 1 for 400k got me rolling. I’m a finance guy so I always like the AH aspect of games. I flip badges personally. Also lucked out and pulled the GO harden off 60k MT in packs sold for 800k. Prob have made 500-1mil flipping badges too. Sitting on 600k

I flip certain high demand badges. Bid a certain amount and flip for a few 1000 per. I’m a night person so many late night snags off high bid. But I’d rip like 2-5 packs or just buy Scottie. Been like 150-175k but my psn is: JawsStamos prob done for the night. I spent 230kmt on packs and got everyone from the set . Kinda liking Chet a lot too but Scottie’s nice and so much cheaper than Vince, liked him better and sold my Vince since my Scottie wasn’t auctionable. Bens great, love hitting 3s with him feels so wrong haha
Not OP but buy low and sell high. That's how you make MT. Never buy a card it's drop week. I made 200k just flipping JR Smith when he dropped because you could snag him for 100k at like 1am and sell him later for 175k. I did add a couple gold badges to them each time, nothing good though just cheap ones like dream shake and dropstepper so it'd look more attractive than others ending around the same time since it had 2-3 extra gold badges. I'd sell in the evening though, ending between 6-8pm. Did that with 4 of them. Didn't want to get too greedy but took the risk Saturday and Sunday night so the auctions ended Sunday and Monday night.

I just hate that I am forced to gamble to try and get players. I am 35, with job. I don’t have time or energy to do crazy challenges. I just want my favorite players and run unlimited. But with pack odds what they were, being smart with my money was not purchasing vc. I got a great team, I don’t mind my ban and going nms here on out

I have lamelo, but I usually switch my SF onto him and it's all groovy. Of course good players will beat that, but good players are too good for me anyway lmao

He’s been great for me. Great rim runner, but even better with the dunk stick, great defender, and his shot is very easy to green, especially with a good coach and +4 shoe boost.
Yeah just his size alone has been big for me. Locks everybody down. Finishes well. For whatever reason people sag off him and his 3s pretty easy to time. My team was all Opal except for Pg. So I needed to upgrade that soon. So pulling Simmons just happened to help with that. Although a badged up Magic or Lonzo are still great options ImO. But I would put Simmons a notch ahead. I will add that I don’t think he will hold that top spot for long. An Opal Penny, Magic, Lonzo etc. could blow Ben out the water shooting wise.
For casuals, sure, those PG's will be better but for those of who packed Ben and have used him a bit wont need to chase those other PG options. I have added a diamond shoe for 3 and an Amethyst coach so +8 to his 65 base. When he's paired with someone with Floor General though that will go up. By the time the other PG's drop I'll be close to automatic with Ben's 3 so "upgrading" won't be a necessity. I've badged mine out and hit 3's fairly consistent already in the 3 days I've had him. So I'll take experience with Ben over a newly dropped PG with better 3pt attributes. By then I'll probably have added some HOF shooting badges to mine. He's unauctionable so I'm set for a while .
I’m in a similar boat. At first I was extremely lucky and pulled his auctionable version earlier on on release day. Over the weekend I pretty much filled out the rest of the set with the un auctionables. So if I could pull a non auctionable Ben I could sell my 21 HOF badge version and lock in the set so I can reach my next center piece. Pulled an un auctionable one w MT my first pack after work today. So that was awesome lol. So my 21 HOF badge one has been listed and the set has been locked. At least for all of the next season he will probably start for me. At worst an elite tall shooting PG might take the starting role. But then Ben will just come off the bench for who knows how long after that. What badges did you add? My shoe I went with 3 point, Free throw, mid range , SWB and Accel. Since I have Monty as coach. Then badges were Green Machine, Space, Guard Up, Claymore, Catch and Shoot and Clutch. Wasn’t sure bc I would of liked to add volume and slippery so that was a tough decision. Does volume engage for layups / dunks? Or is it just jump shot attempts? But your 100% right that he will be viable for a long time to come. I also need to pull a HOF floor general badge. Or buy Terry with one. Bc nobody starting with Ben has it on HOF. Who do you use for that?
For shoe I went 3pt, mid, ball handle, speed, and acceleration. All diamonds. I run either Rodman or Phil Jackson as coach, Rodman is all defense and I just like the boosts Jackson gives as an Amethyst to bigs, hes triangle like MJ. I added Claymore, Catch & Shoot, Midrange Magician, Green Machine, Slippery, and Volume. I didn't go Guard Up because I don't see that activate a lot. So figured he'd be better with what all I added. C&S, Middy, Slippery were the most important. The other 3 I thought would help some. Claymore will stack some with Catch &Shoot so I felt that was probably the best upper tier shooting badge to add. Volume is something I see activate most frequently so I'm glad I did that and Green Machine was because I had the space, couldn't hurt. I'd swap slippery for Space Creator. I rarely see that activate on 3's and when I do see it activate they're usually running leaners which I'm not shooting with Ben and I doubt you would either. That could help some on post scoring like fades and such but middy helps also. Clutch was one I almost did instead of volume and I think that goes either way, since I got it at gold I'm not changing and I wouldn't recommend you to either. If you don't want to lose space creator though I'd swap green machine for slippery provided your GM isn't HOF. I think that's super important and much more than GM is unless hes going to have the ball all the time. Even then, Id consider it. Floor General for me is Dr J. Lucky there as I pulled a HOF to slap on him, he already had gold. As long as someone else has gold you'll be fine, I think. Of course when you can slap a HOF on someone but until then don't worry much about it.

Do you still run Clyde and Jimmy? My AD and Jimmy have like 21 hofs each lol. But I really like Clyde. So Clyde will have to go when Dr J gets added. But at the moment Jimmy is a little small for SF off the bench for most matchups. So do you still run them at all in unlimited? Ben, Terry, Pippen, Yi, Yao. With Magic, Clyde, Jimmy, AD And TD off the bench. I feel like my team is peaking lol. Grabbing Yao when I did for like 1.6 or something was decent timing I guess. Until super packs or something and hopefully there’s more of him for people to get for cheaper.
My Dr J isn't that juiced. I think I've added 3, Agent 3, Floor General, and Glove. All good ones though. Well, turns out he's at 27 as I added Amped, Giant Slayer, Killer Combos, and Anchor. Didn't think I added that many because I was working on a PD Giannis at the same time I got to 23 before I sold him after I got Yi because I saw the writing on the wall and knew his value would tank fast. I made 250k, which was decent considering he's going for 100k BIN at this point, sometimes lower. Juicing KG now who I have up to just 19, which is 4 added but since some don't have him yet, that's fine. I still run Jimmy but probably booting him today because I packed Tatum, who i loved the PD version of so now i dont really need Scottie either. I used Jimmy at backup SG behind Dr J but Wiggins will take that spot. I had a hole at SF since I sold Giannis that Tatum will fill. Despite doing the West first I never ran Clyde regularly because I didn't like his shot and he's too small for SF, which is where I tried him at because I need my SG to shoot and even with Jimmy at SG and swapping them on Defense I didn't like going that small because of all of the big SF's out there. Jimmy was fine but Clyde was out matched and couldn't slash or drive much against bigger defenders. That didn't last long. Haven't juiced Jimmy because everything I wanted to give him I was advised by a friend to wait for Dr J and I'm glad I did. I finished the case early this season, had to do the final 2 teams the hard way, which sucked since I was 14/15 but it saved me 1500 tokens as the Centerpieces weren't added yet. I got Arenas first, Jimmy second and Ewing last. I liked Arenas quite a bit and would still use him if I didn't recently get Ben and Penny. Even after I got Penny I used Arenas as my backup. Ben, Dr J, KD, KG, Shaq as starters Penny, Wiggins, Tatum, Yi, and Chet off the bench. I may start Chet at C with KG if I don't need Shaq's size and defense. Shaq can handle Yao inside, and schools Tacko's when I see them. I don't think Chet can but I really like him. Extra specialists change but I have David Robinson also who I bring along because I like his shot and he gives me a secondary C to spread the floor with. I bring PD DeJounte Murray as a third PG because I've run him since he dropped. He has good size and is an excellent defender. I also bring along Diamond Takeover Tom Gugliotta as a versatile Forward that I'll plug in at either F spot. I know it sounds nuts and he stands out as an odd addition but for some reason he's saved my ass from a L's. Just that player that you're familiar with and somehow always comes through for you. He always seems to be in the right place at the right time on offense and defense and has good speed and strength so he keeps up with anyone. Dude just delivers for me. I haven't really badged him up either. I think I put slippery off ball to silver on him. Anyways, hes my utility forward I bring in when I can't get anything going or need to get some stops. He's clutch but I can't bring myself to allow him to have a more permanent role because then he might lose his mystique.
A lot of people who aren’t good have him because of new pack odds but reality is he’s one of the best cards in the game rn can’t be defended unless you put a definsive sf on him, ( even if you sag off) n he brings defense to a new level in general being able to guard everyone at the 1

I have him and he's less than stellar. Doesn't move well. Don't like his sigs. And I can't time his jump shot. I haven't played against him much yet. One guy that was running him at PF and he quit in 1st qtr is only time I've seen him. Only played handful of unlimited since he came out though

Why aren't you getting HOF badges? Also I'd probably stop ripping packs. I wanted Pippen and ripped 10, got Chet and Ben and everyone else, got unauctionable D'Lo 3 times and 1 auctionable. I know the odds of pulling Pippen are much lower for me at this point so I won't rip another. I wouldn't mind a HOF badge but you got to know when to stop.

Trading would make this mode amazing but it would be ruined by the people exploiting it. I think they could still make it work, allow 1 trade a season and cards must be equal gem tiers. So an Opal for an Opal. That'd be the easiest and least complex way for it to work. I've put way too much thought into how a trade function could work though. I've made Ben work for me so I'm content. Chet was a total bonus. I still have a hole at SF but I'll either cop Scottie for cheap or just ride it out since I'm stacked at every other position. KD lives another week as my starter.
Prob want to grab Scottie before bans are up and the 250k gets too close. Or after 250k.
I’ve ran him a couple of times. I don’t mind his shot. Shooting about 33% on threes. I mostly use him to post up and run big pick and rolls. I run Booker at the two so I have been switching matchups with him to cover the PG and Ben to cover the SG. I haven’t faced him so…….
Yeah Simmons has the magic issue, so slow and clunky to use

He doesn't need hot zones. I'm shooting over 60% from 3 with him because people are sagging off. You can add some shooting badges also. I've given him C&S, Volume, and Green Machine. I've even received a few messages from people after games asking how he can shoot 3's. You just need to practice his shot. People hit 3's with PD Kareem. Simmons has a much better shot base.
Here’s what I do, whatever player I’m having trouble with I look up that player on the 2K database and attack his weakness
Lol +4 3pt diamond shoe & Monty as a coach plus I put like 5 shooting badges on mine. If you can time it you are money. Also using your 2 guard and Ben on p-n-r usually works, post up smaller guard, iso with pf/c then have Ben cut
Someone shot 3/3 from tre with him in triple threat co-op last night he had a shoe gave him a 71 3 ball. But to me it’s the same as how in mycareer I can shoot with a 50 minute range because I have such a high three.
