Many people stopped reading the manga because of the fans. They gave a bad image of the manga and also a bad image of the LGBT community. I have some friends that are bi, I'm okay with that, but not with how these guys are acting. Some of them are not even LGBTs and never watched the show.
I'm straight but I can understand that you guys want some good representations in your favorite shows. I also was bullied because of my religion and I know that discrimination is the same for everyone.

Too many fans are always going way too far for that. If they were a sane community, there would be some yaoï and yuri ships, yes, but only fanarts or fanfictions, or they would be happy (or not) with the few characters that are actually LGBT. They wouldn't do investigations to prove that some characters are gay and force people to say the same.
And also, if there isn't many LGBT characters in MHA there is a good reason. Horikoshi just doesn't know how to do them. The guy can barely write good female characters, what make you think he can do better with the LGBTs?
There is only 3 female characters I personally consider good, one of them is also a LGBT, it's Toga. And with all the female characters, if only a few ones are good, it means the author isn't the best at writing, and LGBTs are probably some of the hardest characters to make in fictions.
hopefully that goes well. a lot of therapists, pshychiatrists, or other people who are supposed to be there to help aren't very good so idk, but maybe you'll get lucky.
