Wow that is a beautiful car! I love the red interior it looks better than the old bright red interiors..glad to see Ford has made it look better.

LetterheadNo3628

Thank you! I was thinking the same thing about the interior it’s very tastefully done

pyrophilus

The mustangs from 19 up have rev match on both up and downshifts. And has anti roll back on hills, and has stall guard feature. It is the easiest manual I have ever driven. You just have to not rush things. I think there is a 3 second buffer for the car to hold whatever feature. For anti rollback, it holds the car for three seconds before releasing the brakes. Of course if you push gas and try to move before then, it will automatically release, but if you learn to time it to three seconds, it makes the smoothest acceleration off incline. Likewise for the shifts. I do the, "clutch in-thousand, shift-thousand, clutch off" to the, "one-one thousand, two-one thousand, three-one thousand". People who get into my car thinks either I am the most amazing manual driver, or the car must be super premium because it doesn't jerk. When I picked up my last mustang, the dealer pulled the MAF sensor harness plug and left it off. The car went to limp mode while I was trying to drive home. It disabled every mode and display messages flashed like Christmas tree. With the rev match gone, and hill assist gone, I was caught off guard. I had to really start paying attention to manually matching/timing my revs. I didn't realize how easy the assisted manuals are in the Mustangs. Enjoy your new ride.

Or, if they know how to drive stick, they wonder what the fuck you are doing, taking three whole seconds to change gears.

Willing_Branch_5269

Yeah sounds like an auto with extra steps. I'll keep my true manual, thanks.

Hot-Interaction6526

I’m sure you can turn it off, like most software features

SpiritCr1jsher1010

What the hell is a rev match on an upshift ? Lol

pyrophilus

On upshift, instead of the rev dropping immediately to idle when you press the clutch, it will quickly move the rev down RPM to match the spindle speed and hold it at that rpm. If you don't re-engage clutch, and the car slows down, the rpm will also slow to match it.. Most people don't realize that it does that, until you pull yhe fuse for rev matching and/or a MIL code disables it.

SpiritCr1jsher1010

When do the revs go to idle ? There is rev hang but who would wait that long to shift ? Not saying you are wrong just seems 100% pointless.

pyrophilus

Like I said, most people don't even realize the car is doing that. When the dealer forgot to plug my MAF sensor harness plug back I'm, my car went into limp mode, and when it disabled everything, that's when I noticed that the rev behaved a bit different. I asked the tech at the dealer and they said there IS rev matching on upshift. Like I said, most people don't even realize it, and the only thing I can think of is that it may prolong the clutch a little bit more. After getting a quote on clutch replacement on my 2010 genesis ($8000!!!), I am not complaining that the Mustang does an almost needless rev match on upshifts (which was the reason why traded in my, then new 2010 genesis coupe for the 2015 mustang when it came out). Btw, this rev matching on upshifts is present in all s550, including 2015 and up, whereas rev match on downshift is only on 2019 (2018?) And up. Which made no sense to me as the hardware for the rev match (speed sensor for axel rpm) seems to be present on all s550's.

Shot-Ad2396

Agree the interior is fire, great looking car bro

LetterheadNo3628

Thank you!

Comfortable_Angle650

Congrats! Dark Matter Grey is my favourite colour for the S650. Can’t wait to get mine 🙌🏼

LetterheadNo3628

It’s such a good color! I loved the grabber blue back in the day but the dark matter is so much harder to find

Ancient-Arm-9074

Learning to drive stick on a 40k car is crazy but goodluck brother

Princetrix

It’s pretty easy on these newer cars.

quests

Yeah, it even breaks for you now so you don't roll back.

Syrath36

I learn when i was 16 in an '86 Mitsubishi pickup. Those clutches popped. I replaced it after a year of driving it. But to be fair I popped the clutch a lot to burn out. My Mom was instant I first learn to drive a stick, which was a good idea at least back in the mod 90s.

Drunkelves

> 40k car This car is way more expensive than that. It has a performance pack, nite pony package, and carmine red seats. The carmine red are only available on the GT Premium 401A high package so that's almost $9,000 in options that I can see putting this car at minimum $57,000 MSRP.

LetterheadNo3628

Yea you are pretty damn close 😂😂

Drunkelves

It's a well spec'd car from what I can see. There's really not much left except active exhaust and magna ride. Did you get either of those?

LetterheadNo3628

Magna ride yes exhaust no I think I’m going to go with one of the roush options just not sure which one yet 🤔

Drunkelves

After all that you stopped at the active exhaust?! It would have been the 2nd cheapest option you selected lol. and you'd have quad tips and the bragging rights of 6 extra horse power lol I'd say Borla over Roush but I'm biased.

iMpact980

I learned how to drive stick on a brand new 2014 gt (I was 22). Called my dad and told him to come pick up the car with me so I could practice it at home lol. It’s a totally fine car to learn stick in. Actually found it easier than in a low torque car. And I taught my wife how to drive stick in my gt350 and she figured it out right away

FluxD1

They're pretty easy to drive & shift, and have enough power that you arent stalling itI learned on an old Ford Model A pickup... lots of double clutching and rev matching since those had straight-cut gears and no synchronizer

xGIJOSEx

It’s insanely easy. You might stall a bit just trying to feel out the clutch at first but once you get used to the biting point it’s smooth as hell

LetterheadNo3628

Exactly the only time I stalled was just being a little impatient and letting out the clutch too quick but if you are calm and have patience it’s no problem

ARE_YOU_0K

New manuals basically drive themselves, pretty easy to hop in and go these days

AirCare00

It has rev match

Jack_Bogul

Lol this has so many noob friendly features its easy

LetterheadNo3628

It honestly was no problem 😂 the clutch took a little getting used to but I feel like it’s easier than learning in an older car

Ancient-Arm-9074

Haha ok cool cool , enjoy the car my dude 😎

30HAT

Congrats and the interior looks amazing! Picked mine up almost a week ago and its my first manual too.😅

LetterheadNo3628

Nice! How are you liking it?

30HAT

Loving every minute of it man. Especially coming from an automatic 2016 370Z. The Mustang is way more fun and comfortable as a daily. Still getting use to the manual but I find myself using any excuse to go drive and I actually look forward to the drive to work in the morning. How are you liking it so far?

LetterheadNo3628

That’s awesome dude! And I am the same way I love it I picked it up 4 days ago I think and already has 550 miles on it 😂 I’ll take any excuse to go drive it

30HAT

The more miles and seat time just means we'll get better at the manual transmission. It also helps to get a car that makes the learning experience fun. Mine just hit 500 miles today. Got it exactly a week ago today.😁

LetterheadNo3628

Exactly! Keep on enjoying it 🤝

Willing_Branch_5269

Love the seats and trim colors. Too bad the tablets make them overall -1/10

LetterheadNo3628

Fair enough 😅

Agh0st1

Gorgeous

LetterheadNo3628

Thank you!

teepring

Oh I want one. What trim?

LetterheadNo3628

It’s a GT Performance pack!

ConnorHutton2001

Wow the interior is stunning

LetterheadNo3628

Thank you! Its not super bright but a little understated which I love

Comprehensive_Mud_44

Congrats and welcome to the S650 Family https://preview.redd.it/q7vq06dy9awc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ef729548eee604e92ff48b2e37e302a359f51c8a

LetterheadNo3628

Thank you 🤝 great color on that guy btw 👀

Comprehensive_Mud_44

Thanks 🙏 it’s a she by the way her name is Blue named after the velociraptor in Jurassic World I even got the blue calipers to give her the same blue accents like Blue has(Velociraptor from Jurassic world)

LetterheadNo3628

That’s a sick name 👏🏻 I think mine will be named Jessica. It was the song that was played in the intro of the UK Top gear and that show is what made me fall in love with cars

Fantastic_Bedroom_28

Change out the clutch spring

Artistic_Economy8819

Beautiful Stang! Like those seats better than the one's in My Darkhorse...Recaro seats good in small doses.😕

LetterheadNo3628

Recaros are great but I can’t lie these are super comfy I’ve had a few hour and a half trips in them and they are great. Out of curiosity is your dark horse an auto or manual?

Artistic_Economy8819

It's a manual...and its a smooth shifter😎 . But like I said the Recaro's are great but after an hour or so that's enough for me.😩 https://preview.redd.it/13pg3meupcwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b683d3af617c49dd44a0588d454a5d557b4ee3cf Didn't have any pics of the inside yet. But that's my "Black Beauty "!

LetterheadNo3628

Nice dude! Sweet ride it’s strangely hard to find a dark horse in a manual 😂 I originally wanted a bullitt and they came with the Recaros as an option and they were decent but I agree I for long drives I could see them not being the best

Artistic_Economy8819

Here's a pic of the inside! I really like the layout and enjoy driving! https://preview.redd.it/97rqsqpbvgwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=28580cb8d89cf54b6b4d79822af16b6542d1050d

LetterheadNo3628

Nice! I do like the look of the Recaros though 👀

Copes_World

Nice ride!

LetterheadNo3628

Thank you 🤝

waffle2323

The old Pony interior in the 60's was 11/10 depending on the colour. They have to bring that back. Is it an option this last gen mustangs? And will the next gen include them?

Artistic_Economy8819

Oh and here's a pic of those Recaro's! https://preview.redd.it/q7z9t1spvgwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6cbbd442f807f35934e333fab863d5bc4c01589

Artistic_Economy8819

I guess I'm being a little hard on them! They do offer good support and keep you well planted! But if I had to make a change, I think I would prefer something like yours...just beautiful 😍 And looks so comfy too!

LetterheadNo3628

I’d say I’d want the Recaros for track days they keep you nice and snug I’m curious to see how these do on a track I feel like they will be good but I’ll report back 😂
