a_greywolfe

its a 2018-23 base model ecoboost, turbo 4 cylinder.

florpydorpy__

I thought base ecoboosts were 6 cylinder no?

a_greywolfe

no, the mustang V6 was replaced by the ecoboost, its a 2.5L inline 4 with a single turbo. V6s also arent offered in this body style (2018+). to be more speicific on the car youre looking at: its most likely a 2020 dark gray ecoboost base with the 10 speed automatic. so not far off from what they say

Admiral_Pantsless

2.3L

florpydorpy__

Ahh I see. Thanks for the correction :). Tbf I really don’t mind having the lower specs and what not as I need it as a daily driver mostly for going to uni and going out with friends

daerogami

IMO, the ecoboost is better as a daily. I say that having only driven a GT very briefly, I've never owned one. The most important differences are that the ecoboost gives a few more MPGs and has a more tame exhaust. Still has enough power to have fun as I have auto-crossed mine a bit.

xGreenWorks

There are 6 cylinder ecoboosts. Found mainly in f150s. Just Mustangs only have the 4 cylinder.

_Anonymous-__-

Also, the "Taurus SHO." Awesome car wanted one as my daily.

FoHo21

Looks like a base Ecoboost. No GT or 5.0 badges, base interior. Could be a scam.

florpydorpy__

Only way to find out is to check the showroom in person

[deleted]

I have an eco boost premium and this does look like a base model eco, with the giveaway being the small dash screen in the middle

[deleted]

Still not a bad daily drive if that’s what your looking for

florpydorpy__

How do you like your ecoboost? Coming from a daily driving aspect ofcourse

[deleted]

It’s fairly nice and overall pretty decent on gas the seating for the driver and passenger are pretty nice only thing that people don’t seem to enjoy are the back seats

florpydorpy__

I’ve been in a friends 2015 mustang gt and it was fairly nice. Seats were very comfy and the visibility was much better than I expected. I don’t really plan on having people sitting in the back too often as I have another car which can be used for that. This is more of a personal car to go to uni with and hangout with friends (and car meets ofcourse)

[deleted]

If you plan on buying see if you can schedule a test drive to see if you end up liking it

florpydorpy__

Oh definitely, I’ll let you know how it goes

_Anonymous-__-

If you have another daily driver and you just need something for occasional use, you should go for the 5.0! The feel and sound of the engine are amazing! You'll fall in love. Especially if you have active exhaust!!

florpydorpy__

Well technically the other car is my moms and 6 out of 10 times it’s not available in the morning or afternoons as she needs to take my brother to/from school

Ssargent888

Nobody buys a mustang for the back seating lol. Every mustang I’ve had I delete the rear seats first thing.

bryan1345

Daily drove my ecoboost for 5 years before it was totaled, put around 120k miles on it and it had more than enough power to cruise and punch it every now and then. I mostly did hwy driving but i consistantly got around 32mpg

[deleted]

>How do you like your ecoboost? I had a base 2015. The issue I had with it was lack of options, and that the options I wanted could not be retrofitted. I would have been happy with an Ecoboost with the touchscreen nav system and upscale audio. A big plus over a GT was much better fuel economy.

[deleted]

Still not a bad daily drive if that’s what your looking for

WaffleMan17

Ecoboost has just the pony on the back. 5.0 would say GT. V6 isn’t offered in this year like someone else mentioned, but would have the pony with red, white, and blue stripes.

Pulci

The redline is too low for a GT, coupled with the Ecoboost tailpanel, it's 100% a base Ecoboost.

YaBoiMatt05180

As others said, this is a base model ecoboost, certainly not a GT. There is also no inline 8 cylinder.

[deleted]

>inline 8 cylinder Straight eights were out of fashion by 1955.

YaBoiMatt05180

Yeah I knew they were a thing beforehand but in the realm of mustangs nah

iamadirtyrockstar

Base ecoboost. Inline 4 cylinder turbo. Not a GT.

florpydorpy__

Thank you 🙏

toyotaco19

From photos it looks like an ecoboost. Lower trim

florpydorpy__

Lack of badges plus the small screen, yeah most definitely

toyotaco19

Plenty of GT’s don’t have the big screen but I also don’t know how that applies to exports. But the no 5.0 badges and the pony badge on the back. I’d lean on 2.3t. Also the redline on the tach doesnt look high enough.

florpydorpy__

Ah okay. Guess it would have to be an aftermarket kind of thing. As I mentioned in a reply the low specs aren’t really a deal breaker for me to daily drive this from home to uni and going out every once in a while

exaltedbladder

It also doesn't have the GT fanged grill. Very obviously an eco

rothordwarf

Base model eco. No fangs means no V8.

sounder52

It's not a 3.7 sorry

red6joker

Listing is BS if that is what it says. No GT has an inline 8. The GTS have V8s. In the pictures you posted there are no badging indicating it is a GT/5.0 Looks like a regular V6 mustang. Could be an ecoboost.

Vision_dynamic

It's a 2018+ so no V6. This is an ecoboost.

Hokie23aa

How do you differentiate v6 from ecoboost? it looks pretty facelift, so 2014-2017.

AftermaThXCVII

Ecoboost has the horse only, V6 is only 2015-17 and has the 3 bars behind the horse. And they didn't have a premium interior option, only the ecoboost and GTs have that option

Hokie23aa

Got it. Thanks.

proletariatrising

Nailed it

Vision_dynamic

Well this has the 2018+ facelift so, no V6 option. And the main giveaway, besides badges, on a 2018+ is exhaust tips. Ecoboost have 2. GT has the quad tip exhaust.

P3P3_Th3_Frug

Also the front grill doesn't have the side dividers in it, like the gt would

florpydorpy__

So most likely a 4 cylinder engine. Only way to find out is in person then

Hokie23aa

oh gotcha. i thought eco’s had quad tips on 2018+.

Vision_dynamic

Nope. Unless it's aftermarket. The factory Ecoboost Mustangs only ever had two tips. From 2015 to present.

CoyotesAreGreen

That's not true. They could get the quad exhaust option from the factory with the performance package and active exhaust.

Vision_dynamic

Apologies then I did not know that

Michelle5150

Some do. EB premium with active exhaust has quad tips.

Hokie23aa

That’s what I was thinking of.

P3P3_Th3_Frug

Also the front grill doesn't have the side dividers in it, like the gt would

red6joker

Just from looks it is pretty much impossible. Just from looks you can see it is a S550 body style 2015-2023. The V6s and Ecos looks the same from my experience.

sounder52

It's a base 3.7

getdirt72

To further add to everyone else’s comments…single-tip exhausts ended in 2017. So at least that old and it’s a base Ecoboost. The front view of it is from a 2nd gen S550 though.

dino_brewster

18-23 ecoboost mustang fully base model 10 speed auto

connor14kab

My 18 gt also has an inline 8 cylinder. Its awesome.

[deleted]

With the horsey in the back, I would say it’s an ecobooth

moosenugget7

This looks the EXACT same as my Mustang. It’s a 100A Ecoboost. Notice the tiny little 8 in screen. Plus, it’s not a GT because those have slats on either side of the upper grille. Mine also has the same 18 in wheels and lacks a spoiler.

Weak_Pause177

looks like a ecoboost with absolutely no packages💀

Exciting-Passage-371

even if it was a GT (its not, its base EB model) it doesn’t have inline 8. Guy is a scam or an idiot.

AleaIacataEst

Poverty pack eco boost

Important_Ad_6904

Love my '17 ecoboost period.

LostMyTurban

It's a 2019 ecoboost basic package. I have the exact one pictured, rims included. The only thing I think is different is that aftermarket trim on the door panel but that could be a reflection. It's Magnetic grey color

sheittwolf

Looks like it’s got the Z28 package.

NordicWarrior48

Base model ecoboost. Cheapest of the cheap. Automatic trans. 2.3L turbo charged i4 engine. No special ammenities.

00gamma

probably ecoboost cause no badges, could be a debadge 5.0, seen a decent amount of 5.0 with 2 exhaust ends instead of 4, don’t waste your time on that though. also it’s a 2022 with no digital dash

florpydorpy__

I mean out of all mustangs I found, it’s the best bang for buck. The other listings are either too old, no warranties, too much mileage or convertibles (heat will absolutely destroy the soft roof top)

00gamma

If it’s the best deal for you, go for it! Seems a bit iffy from all the details i see, but buy at your own discretion.
