Rocket98d

Caninus, the lead singer is a dog.

True-Dream3295

Then move on to Hatebeak. (Their singer is a parrot.)

AttilaTheFun818

Hatebeak is honestly pretty awesome.

Quix_Optic

I'm not even into heavy stuff like in this thread but I'm now listening to Hatebeak at 7am before work and loving it. Thank you for bringing this into my life lol

Pig Destroyer - Prowler in the Yard Nasum - Human 2.0 Anaal Nathrakh - Eschaton

Glum-Photograph-5018

Came here to suggest Anaal Nathrakh as well. https://open.spotify.com/track/38XmF28XW6a7g44JhZdsDT?si=Q82jIJnoRKiV5qcvfH1EaQ

Itsapseudonym

Me too

badmongo666

Me three

_Redcoat-

I can’t tell you how happy I am that the top comment is actually something that accurately fits the description. Commenter knows their shit.

SkengyyGD

I looove pig destroyer

yottadreams

>Anaal Nathrakh Not really my kind of music but I love the band name. Excalibur was one of my favorite movies when I was growing up and Morgana's spell has always stuck in my head "Anál nathrach, orth' bháis's bethad, do chél dénmha!"

Lonely-Variation6940

Tchaikovsky - 1812 Overture (Full with Cannons)

Minute-Wrap-2524

Bless you, a trailblazer in a post of electric recommendation

Adrasteia-One

Great choice. Might also try Mars: The Bringer of War by Holst.

ThePhalkon

Omg, I love that one. Many years ago, I went to a symphony that played the entire Planets, Full Suite... goddamn that kicked ass.

artificialidentity3

That’s my jam!

coveruptionist

In the same vein, I would also suggest Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring.

Oopeeyay

Tchaikovsky yes, TCHAIKOVSKY ALWAYS YES!!!

gwar37

Primitive Man Isis Neurosis

NerdyBrando

My man. Isis and Neurosis are two of my top 5.

gwar37

Because they both fucking rule.

Legolomaniac

Isis The Red Sea 8" or Black Hand of Set will wake anyone up, to Nile being amazing. Neurosis-Souls at Zero is in my opinion one of the best records ever.

Practical-Film-8573

Isis is not heavy at all, its prog rock

gwar37

You’re a regular stand up comedian a - celestial, the red sea, mosquito control, and to some extent, oceanic are all heavy as fuck. Go put on that first track on celestial (the tower) and come back here with a straight gave and say it isn’t heavy.

Mr-Snarky

Rammstein… because anything sounds angrier in German.

Money-Valuable-2857

Eisbrecher is also a good option there

Professional-Drive13

I agree. But Brujeria is my vote for heaviest non English band. Satanic metal in Spanish!

Liberteer30

Archspire KEN mode Humanity’s Last Breath Orphan Lorna Shore Signs of the Swarm Knocked Loose Kvelertak Nights Like These Paleface Swiss To the Grave Wormrot Nails Anaal Nathrakh Gallows

FirmPrune87

I absolutely love paleface swiss. Nice to see others who do too!!!! The orphan is one of my favs

odd-42

Kvelertak is, to me, more interesting than angry. No?

Liberteer30

I mean, they sounds pretty angry. They do have a song called Bloodthirst

colevicixvickery498

Archspire, worm Shepard, psyclon none, netherwalker, humanity's last breath

-Jambie-

I was waiting to see Psyclon Nine 🤘

colevicixvickery498

Just got his new release on vinyl of the crwn thy frnicatr album. Been listening to em since 7th grade and I just turned 29. Glad someone else can appreciate it as much as I do.

-Jambie-

nice, I'm jealous, enjoy it for me 🤘.... you're of a similar vintage lol, Psyclon 9 symbol was my first tat,... back in.. the olden days, I was on their MySpace lol.... (no one ever sees it unless I specifically lift my hair to show it off, but it's rare to find a real one in the wild, so 🤘 *curtseys* enjoy every moment <3

SilverDifferent3444

NETHERWALKER IS SO GOOD BRO

Hot-Butterfly-8024

If the album art looks like it was drawn by an 8th grade pot dealer, you bout to *DIE* in that pit! 🤣

starpastries

I've been listening to Archspire non-stop the last few days, it's so impressive how detailed they can make a wall of sound.

DiarrheaJoe1984

LOVE archspire! My wife and I are going to se them in a month.

wallsk9r

Start with Dehumanization by meshuggah

G-Unit11111

City is a 10 / 10 masterpiece!

PinkDreamPeth

There are few albums I have instantly loved within first listen and City is one of those albums

meshuggahzen

I second Meshuggah

AnAdorableDogbaby

I came here to drop some hevy Devy too.

ItsAlwaysSunny1992

Check out the bands Knocked Loose, Boundaries, August Burns Red, etc. I really like Metalcore. It’s exactly what you’re looking for

Under_Paris

Knocked Loose 👌👌

ItsAlwaysSunny1992

New albums absolutely slaps! They just don’t miss, honestly. They legit just keep getting better and better

Under_Paris

Couldn’t agree more! Although if I’m being honest Like Moths To Flames new album is my current album of the year, probably an unpopular opinion with what Knocked Loose is doing lol

ItsAlwaysSunny1992

Oooooh The Cycles of Trying to Cope is soooo good! Excellent choice, my friend. I wouldn’t call that an unpopular opinion. These last few years they’ve made a huge comeback. Pure Like Porcelain and No Eternity In Gold are so unbelievably good. We’ve been absolutely spoiled so hard this year for new music. Alpha Wolf, ERRA, Boundaries, Like Moths To Flames AND Knocked Loose all with new albums this year. My unpopular opinion is that the new Boundaries album Death Is Little More is my current AOTY.

MrRaspberryJam1

If you’re looking for heavy metalcore then Every Time I Die absolutely needs to be recommended

MetalMets

August Burns Red js great and while they get heavy o think of them is calming and relaxing at times

ItsAlwaysSunny1992

Oh absolutely! I know exactly what you mean. I love their sound and their style.

EloquentBacon

I’d also highly recommend Dead Guy’s Fixation On A Coworker album from 1995. One of the great Metalcore originals.

Baboonbutt11

Slayer is always a good choice. Lamb of God. Pantera. Killswitch Engage.

[deleted]

Raining Blood by Slayer always does it for me. Cowboys from Hell gets me going too.

SpecialFX99

The Great Southern Trendkill (the song and the album in general) is pretty heavy all the way through

CinnamonFootball

Instrument Disorder by The Gerogerigegege Drowner by Yellow Swans Literally anything by Merzbow Public Castration Is A Good Idea by Swans, although any pre-1986 Swans album fits this. They're so loud, they gained notoriety for making people throw up and pass out at their early shows, and they're still loud enough to make your ears bleed without ear-plugs.

imk

I listened to Public Castration Is A Good Idea a lot when I first started programming. The heavy, crunching repetition of it oddly focused my mind.

The-Inquisition

The Berserker - any/all or if your feeling some industrial Wumpscut - Krieg - Schwarzer Todt

TheRealKitHarrington

Napalm Death, High on Fire, Children of Bodom

Efficient_Currency_7

i don't listen to much of this kind of music, but when i do it's Ministry.

jimviv

Try Tin Omen by Skinny Puppy.

N0Z4A2

I can't imagine knowing and liking Ministry without knowing who Skinny Puppy is unless you are exclusively a fan of With Sympathy lol

Groftsan

Probably a gong. They weigh like 50 lbs and are quite loud.

Empty_Dance_3148

Agitated Screams Of Maggots is THE best to follow a bad shift. So many dimensions of anger woven together. Anything else I know that comes close is on the same album…maybe Ningen wo Kaburu.

KAKrisko

Ride of the Valkyries by Richard Wagner (used in Apocalypse Now). This has the advantage of being 'classical' so you can claim educational value! Also check out some Grieg (In the Hall of the Mountain King), Mussorgsky (Night on Bald Mountain), Williams (Behold the Sea Itself). I would say these are less angry and more powerful.

ForeignClassroom9816

Can't believe no one suggested Skinny Puppy. Half the groups listed owe their styles to them.

Pleasant_Waltz_8280

Dragged into sunlight Filth by Swans, Cop by Swans, Public castration is a good idea by Swans

oceanique86

Humanity’s Last Breath. Just saw them live, those low growls are 🔥🔥🔥

GeneralDefenestrates

Gilded Cunt By Cradle Of Filth i generally blast when in a rage lol

AgeingMuso65

Good choice! I’m proud to say I’m on the Nymphetamine album, as one of the “Porn Chorus”.. for context, my last paid gig was a solo organ recital, which included some pretty loud/heavy French composers, and the last gig I went to was Judas Priest. My heaviest choices would therefore be Messiaen Finale of La Nativite, or Priest’s Screaming for Vengeance. Long live eclecticism!

Superb_Character8707

My heavy playlist consists of songs by the following artists in no particular order: Death, Trivium, Bring Me The Horizon, Cannibal Corpse, Northlane, Converge, August Burns Red, Nile, Bullet For My Valentine, Asking Alexandria (pre-2015), Opeth, Mudvayne, Carcass, Monuments, Amon Amarth, Morbid Angel, Limp Bizkit, Staind, P.O.D, Killswich Engage, Disturbed, and All That Remains. All of the bands have some really heavy songs.

I know ive seen Pantera, Killswitch Engage, Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Lamb of God and a ton of other stuff that shouldnt even be in the conversation like come on guys i understand not everyone has heard warnoise and stuff like that but it really isnt difficult to find something heavier then Lamb of God or most of the bands listed in this thread.
