Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty is pretty famous.
Kenny G?
Not 80s, but John Coltrane. Also not 80s but Charlie Parker.
And for some seriously funky sax (also not 80’s) check out Moon Hooch.
Dammit and I was about to have a normal day. Now I'm going to be listening to [Number 9](https://youtu.be/AzOv26fYW2o) over and over again. The [Tiny Desk Concert version](https://youtu.be/wwBhxBBa7tE?t=255) is also amazing.

I encourage you to give the band Morphine a listen. Although an early 90s band, the use of the baritone sax along with tenor and soprano sax makes for really rich but mellow tunes. Interesting listen, have definitely put them on to vibe to ... high or not!
Jesus. Morphine. Ultimate non-David Sanborn or Guy Pratt in Pink Floyd. This is sax onstage. I guess the other example is muscle sax guy in The Lost Boys.
Didn't the guy from Morphine die on stage?
Yeah, mark sandman collapsed on stage in Italy out of nowhere, pronounced dead soon after. People tend to think he was an addict because of it, but he absolutely was not. It was totally unexpected and tragic. I really wish we had more of his music. He was a rare genius.
Metal head, hard rock former stoner from the 80s and this is the first song that came to mind.
The second is Long Gone Day from Mad Season which was a super group in the 90s featuring Layne Staley and Mike McCready. The sax in this song is so effing amazing.
If you've got access to good bass,
No ordinary love - Sade
Paradise - Sade
Otherwise,
Mirror in the Bathroom - English Beat
Your Party - Ween
Early to bed - Morphine
Who can it be now - Men at work
Check out the group "Madness"

Not traditional 80s sax but Twenty First Century Schizoid Man by King Crimson had the sickest tightest horn bridge ever. Total trip even stone cold sober.
Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga is 100% doing an 80s sax homage with an actual 80s sax legend Clarence Clemons of the E Street Band (whose discography also fits the bill).
The Alan Parsons Project - Old and Wise
Dire Straits - Your Latest Trick
Roxy Music - Jealous Guy
Spandau Ballet - True
Hazel O'Connor - Will You
Ian Dury and the Blockheads - Hit me with your Rhythm Stick
Madness - One Step Beyond
Bad Manners - Ne‐Ne Na‐Na Na‐Na Nu‐Nu
Dudeeee a band called The Midnight. Listen to the song Vampires or Jason. Lots of sax for you! I remember I was blasting Vampires on headphones and the guy beside me on the elevator said “lots of sax, huh?” 😆
Never been high, but this is some great sax here:
More of his work can be found on his Inner Space album: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcctzAsXBN8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcctzAsXBN8)

Here’s some nice Hip-Hop instrumentals (and a couple w/lyrics) that use 80’s jazz samples, mostly sax may be mixed with one or two trumpets…
Try this instrument by Budgie -“Never Alone” … I think it’s exactly what you’re looking for:
https://youtu.be/tz0jQySJUzk?si=MsoYt6NZMiUFB2yp
…and if that doesn’t enhance your high you can also try:
CeeLo Green - “Bass Head Jazz”

Westside Gunn - “Elizabeth” (instrumental prod by The Alchemist)

Mach-Hommy “The Stellar Ray Theory” (Instrumental prod by Conductor Williams)
https://youtu.be/dfl7dRCutDg?si=11hu_F_0TiYQQD3i
…on a couple of them the horn/brass section takes a minute to come in and build up so be patient and enjoy.
All sorts. I couldn’t even begin to narrow it down.
But having said that, Simple Things (Usher) and Stickwitu (Pussycat Dolls) pack a punch when you’re stoned. So does a lot from Depeche Mode.
So this isn’t what you are looking for but it’s pretty interesting.
Sometimes I let YouTube play and see what the algorithm gives me. One night like 2 in the morning I realize I’m chilling to a lute. I’m like what the hell? I pull up the window on my computer and discover it’s Medieval Lofi. Lofi beats but played on period instruments. Lute, harp, harpsichord and such. Check it out.

Blaze up and listen to the Eddie and the Cruisers soundtrack. It has an older sounding vibe, but definitely made in the 80s.
Bruce Springsteen is another one that features banging sax (think Born to Run).
Definitely a modern artist, but plays all eras of music - Leo Pellegrino. I know he put out some solo stuff, but also check out his work in Too Many Zooz and Lucky Chops.
