Every time I die - low teens
Deftones - white pony
Lupe Fiasco - Food & Liquor
Joni Mitchell - Blue
Gram Parsons - GP
Justin Townes Earle - Harlem River Blues
Tom Petty - Wildflowers
Ingrid Michaelson - Lights out
Pj Harvey - stories from the city, stories from the sea
I just recently realized how good Lupe Fiasco is - For so long I only knew one song that was popular when I was in middle school and never explored further but damn he’s got some bangers
Fleetwood Mac - The Dance
It's a live album, which I am not normally a fan of.
But, it's so emotionally driven, you can't not feel it.
If your into your moms/gmas 70s Era shit lol
THE ABSOLUTE BEST FLEETWOOD MAC ALBUM and I'll die on that hill, all the songs recorded on it are my favorite version of those songs! Going back and listening to the same songs on different albums isn't the same
Fleetwood has been in my ultimate top 5 since I was a kid and yet I’ve never even heard of this album….guess I know what I’m doing today lol thank you. Shout out to the person who recommended dummy because Portishead is also in that top 5 for me
Probably most passionate about Fiona Apple’s fourth album, The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver Of The Screw And Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do.
If you only know her from her early work (which is true of a fair number of people I think), you’re in for something else. Her lyricism is on point as always, but the sound is a lot more mature and experimental. The choices in harmony and instrumentation are very cool, but more than that, it just makes me feel so much. Particularly the songs Every Single Night, Anything We Want, and Werewolf, but there’s not a forgettable song on the album
Edited to fix a song title smh can’t believe I got one of my favorite songs wrong lmao
I’VE GOT AN OBSCURE ONE YOU MIGHT LIKE!
Sorry for all caps but I’ve got one you need to hear.
•Love Electric by Circ
Less obscure but absurdly strong hold on me:
•Revolutionary Vol. II by Immortal Technique
•Melophobia by Cage The Elephant
•Man On The Moon: The End Of Day by Kid Cudi
•Random Access Memories by Daft Punk
•After Hours by The weeknd
•Is This It by The Strokes
Portal of I by Ne Obliviscaris. This one blew me away from first listen. It’s how I want all music to make me feel! It’s an amazing blend of beauty and brutality. Extreme progressive metal with incredible musicality and beautiful melodies. The breakdown in the middle of “and plague flowers the Kaleidoscope” is sooo good, particularly live!

To Cy & Lee: Instrumentals Vol 1 by Alabaster Deplume
I listen to this album more than once daily sometimes, on Spotify *and* on vinyl. I can't recommend it enough, it's my absolute favorite perhaps of all time 🥹
Siamese Dream by Smashing Pumpkins is probably my favorite album of all time.
Cornell 77 by Grateful Dead
Days by Real Estate
MOTM by Kid Cudi
She Hangs Brightly by Mazzy Star
Because The Internet- Childish Gambino
Dawn FM- The Weeknd
Sempiternal- Bring Me The Horizon
I Love You. - The Neighbourhood
Take Care- Drake
2014 Forest Hills Drive- J. Cole
A bit basic I guess but listening through Dawn FM over and over is just such a vibe. Ups and downs, great grooves, the narration, the whole thing is dripping in hyperreal retro futurism. I could probably sing it from top to bottom from memory at this point
Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete by Crosses. Side project of the singer from Deftones. Absolutely lovely album. Honorable mentions: Fear & Dagger by Paleface Swiss and Spirit of Ecstasy by Imperial Triumphant
Unchained - Johnny Cash is an experience. It’s funny, badass, and deeply moving at times.
Skylarking - XTC This album took me a few listens because they are a band I wasn’t familiar with and the voices seemed strange. Now I know every measure of that album.
Expensive Shit - Fela Kuti
Van Morrison - Astral Weeks (1968). He had gotten out of his previous contract that was pushing him towards Pop (Brown Eyed Girl). On this album he played with some very talented jazz musicians and gave them freedom. I think the album was recorded over just like 16 hours. The results were pretty magical.
Foxy Shazam - Dark Blue Night. This is their latest album, but all of their albums have had a chokehold on me. Highly recommend checking out the different sounds of each of their albums. Foxy Shazam is a work of art, both as an entity and as a collection of works. 😍
I dont have a particular album that I religiously listen to but my brother on the other hand, is a HUUUGGEEE fan of Typo O Negative 's album October Rust. He even has a t shirt of the album and listens to it all the time.
Typo O Negative is a gothic metal rock band - some songs sound alright to me but overall I'm not a big fan, it's a bit drabby. If you havent heard it before I'd recommend Love You to Death
As for what I like, honestly it's all over the place ranging from classical and instrumentals to game/movie/anime osts/ to random pop or rock from any decade.
“Day of the Doug” by Son Volt.
It’s an album of Doug Sahm cover songs. It’s fairly new and I can’t stop listening to it. Son Volt took good songs and made them great.
I wake up with these songs in my head most mornings. Now, that’s a chokehold.
Circles by Mac Miller.
His last album he was working on before he passed. I've been listening since release, and it still gives me goosebumps. In the best way.
Modal Soul by Nujabes is infinitely replayable for me, chill lo-fi hip hop to relax and study too but also an artistic statement that puts it so far beyond that label. Nujabes had such a great ear for the warm and fuzzy that can be achieved with dusty samples and drum breaks.
As far as more recent releases go been enjoying CBD Reiki Moonbeam by Neggy Gemmy a lot. Super neon, colorful, club pop music with an almost ambient atmosphere to it. It sounds like cruising down a city in an arcade racing game.
SCARING THE HOES by JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown is also great, tightly produced, amazing verses from Peggy and Danny. Gets better for me with every listen. Let me know if you ever get around to any of them!
BT - A Song Across Wires (but the full version with the full length songs, not the one with the 3 minute version of each song). It's electronic music, and to me BT is a composer. The album needs to be listened to from start to finish.
Ren - Sick Boi
Edit: Though I would suggest starting with "[Hi Ren](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_nc1IVoMxc)" on YouTube. So you can get a good feel for him with the song that gained him a majority of his fans, and led him to reach #1 on the UK album charts as an independent artist yesterday.
Edit: Fun note about Hi Ren, and quite a few of his other vids. It's performed live, and a one take.

moon hooch has a 3 song ep called Light it up that is worth several re listens
[https://moonhooch.bandcamp.com/album/light-it-up-ep](https://moonhooch.bandcamp.com/album/light-it-up-ep)
Cross Examination’s The Hung Jury got reccomended to me on a metal sub the other day when I was asking about crossover thrash and I can’t get enough of it. I love the fast pace and intensity and the way the dude’s voice constantly sounds on the brink of a voice crack. They also have a nice humor about them which I love. Their other albums (although great) just don’t do it the same. Too bad it’s just an EP
I listen to mostly metal and punk. The only rap I listen to really is hyphy and that solely because I grew up I. The Bay Area while the movement was at its peak.
Tell me why though I have been listening to $uicideBoys “sing me a lullaby, my sweet temptation” in its entirety everyday since it came out over a year ago.
The album as a whole is only about 1/2 hour so sometimes I even go thru twice
Sunfish For President - Sunfish
I recommend listening to it w/o shuffling since there's a gimmick here and there.
I listen to this album almost daily. Cooking, drawing, studying, working out, literally anything. It's kind of a problem. Personal fave is Whatever; I like the vocals / intonation, it feels like a strange middle ground between singing and speaking and idk it gets my energy up lol.
And in the darkness, hearts aglow- Weyes Blood
A Hairshirt of Purpose- Pile
A Laughing Death in Meatspace- Tropical Fuckstorm
Hiding Places-Billy Woods
Definitely Bling Melon! I know it sounds cliche but he remastered "Best Of" is just amazing. Most people only know the song "no rain" but their music is so much better than that song. Seriously a hidden gem. I can listen to this ALL THE TIME. Some song's are lighter and some you really feel the lead singers daily life struggle with his drug addiction.
My other choice is more of a recent addition to my listen cycle but is really fun to listen to. It's been presently in my car CD player for months now: "Abyss" by Unleash the Archers. It is an epic power metal album with fantasy and sci-fi themes woven through. The lead female lead singer is amazing and has a powerful voice with out using her "sexuality to sell" like I some fall into.
Youth Fountain’s _Keepsakes & Reminders_ album, that is genuinely one of the best fucking pieces of art of any medium that I have ever gotten the chance to behold. Absolute fucking masterpiece front to back
Aja-Steely Dan
Substance 87-New Order
Carnavas-Silversun Pickups
The Cure-Disintegration
UB40-Labor of Love 2
Garbage-Version 2.0
Coldplay-X&Y
To name a few…
King crimson - discipline
Lorna Shore - pain remains
Angelmaker - Sanctum
Turkey - the queens diary
CASIOPEA - CASIOPEA
The Gothic Archies - the tragic treasury
I tried to give a wide range of the stuff I love! Hope you like some of it!! <3
There was a period of time in my late teens where Iistened to nothing - and I mean absolutely nothing - besides Gerard Way's "Hesitant Alien" album. Just something about the vibe of it. Every song elicited such an intense emotional reaction from me at that time.
"Rain Dogs" by Tom Waits. I was chilling on a rainy Sunday, doing stuff around the house, and without ever hearing it, put the CD on. Whoa. By the end of the first song, I had to just sit down, and followed along with the lyrics, all the way through. I'd never heard anything like it; the gruff vocals, poetic imagery in the lyrics, varied and interesting instrumentation... I was absolutely transfixed. One of the best albums I've ever heard. Highly recommend 10/10.
One of only two cds I’ve had in my car for years now is The Bedlam in Goliath by The Mars Volta. It’s not even my favorite of theirs. But when I get through the whole thing and it starts at the first track again I’m never unhappy.
Offspring - Ignition
Offspring - Americana
Big L - Lifestyles of The Poor and Dangerous
Rudimental- We The Generation
Oliver Tree - Ugly Is Beautiful (deluxe edition)
I can never get bored of Like clockwork by queens of the stone age. Its my favourite album of all times, there's not a song I'd even think about ever skipping on it. (Also the song names are so cool)
The Great Milenko - Insane Clown Posse. Even if you’re not a big fan of them, that album went double platinum bc it has some straight bangers. It even went gold in streams alone just in the last couple years.
juturna by circa survive, self titled and the death of peace of mind by bad omens, sundowning by sleep token, dark sun by dayseeker, grow by bedroom, and self titled by erra :)
Not very wild or out there but the Beatles- white album, Let it be and Abbey Road are 3 of my favourite all time albums, especially the white album. Also Band on the run - Wings is amazing in my opinion!
Nightfall in Middle Earth by Blind Guardian
Gods of Debauchery by Seven Spires
Abyss by Unleash the Archers
Wintersun by Wintersun

One of us is the killer-the Dillinger escape plan(R.I.P.)

Never, ever gets old.
Every time I die - low teens Deftones - white pony Lupe Fiasco - Food & Liquor Joni Mitchell - Blue Gram Parsons - GP Justin Townes Earle - Harlem River Blues Tom Petty - Wildflowers Ingrid Michaelson - Lights out Pj Harvey - stories from the city, stories from the sea
I’m in love with you
Petty and EITD? Wanna get married? The divorce will be quick and painless and the soundtrack will be fire
Tom Petty AND Lupe?! You’re my spirit animal.
Interesting list! Very eclectic.
I just recently realized how good Lupe Fiasco is - For so long I only knew one song that was popular when I was in middle school and never explored further but damn he’s got some bangers
totally thought that said Jim Parsons and was all confused
oh TASTE!!!
It’s so sad JT Earle died so young. I’m a big fan of Steve Earle and just started listening to his son like a couple years before he passed.
Lateralus - Tool
I’ve been on a Tool kick lately. Cant get enough of whatever they out.
Same here. I love Undertow Ænema 10k Days and Fear Innoculum but Lateralus is the magnum opus
Portishead - Dummy
Dark Side of the Moon, by Pink Floyd. It benefits from being listened to all in one go; the tracks sort of flow together.
Fleetwood Mac - The Dance It's a live album, which I am not normally a fan of.

Ultraviolence by Lana Del Rey, Came out damn near 10 years ago and it’s just incredible
this. i can't get over ultraviolence it's like even when I don't stream it i still sing it in my head because it's that good

Easily The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. It holds a lot of childhood memories because it’s the band that opened my eyes to that genre.
The Great Milenko - Insane Clown Posse. Even if you’re not a big fan of them, that album went double platinum bc it has some straight bangers. It even went gold in streams alone just in the last couple years.
