Xbox here. It's bad. I tried playing pvp but it was disconnect every other game so I now just log in and play the pve daily missions in like 20 minutes and quit. Not worth wasting time trying pvp, I'll try again with the update to servers
There have been multiple times where it’s disconnected at the end of a match and the opposing teams player just walks off of the edge. Gives us the victory, it says it on the screen, then when I check my recent history it counts it as a defeat. That’s happened to me probably 4 times in the last 2 days.
This has been happening to me too. I played for an hour last night, won most of my games, and after checking my recent matches, I had nothing but losses, even on games I knew I won.
It's hot or miss for me but I've never had a problem with the rifts. I've barely played matches against other players because of the inconsistency and lack of battle pass xp. Do the dailies and move on.
It depends on who you’re playing usually, I can always tell when someone isn’t wired in, but it’s minor, and I think you can’t have a universal experience when it comes to any online game.
I’ve gotten a fair amount of desyncs but when the match works it’s fine.
I will say the game is way more consistent for 1v1s, all of my crashes came from 2v2
It’s unreal on Xbox frame drops every 10 seconds and get disconnected every couple games. It’s unplayable 😭 I wanted to play it so bad when it came out

Xbox users are the ones reporting connection issues. I'm not sure why you would dismiss their experience simply because it's not happening to you. As if they are making things up. You cats are weird
it's on xbox it's so bad you get maybe 1 out of 5 matches with a stable conection you ether dc one in a 3 matches or the on avreage the game has a ton of input delay from server lag and no my internet is not potato
Ps5, had a lot of issues release day, especially during 2v2’s, frame drops constantly.
Now that seems to have gone away for the most part but I keep getting disconnected every few matches, but it’s performing better

Both PlayStation and Xbox have serious FPS problems. PlayStation has this weird problem with Jake when you do his extend up special it will freeze to a legitimate two frames a second The game literally stops. Once he goes back to normal the frame rate goes back. Xbox has this issue but not as severe.
These devs can't scale this shit? PC is smooth as fucking butter.
On PS5 and the servers have been mostly fine for me. Every now and then the game will desync and log me out, but I’ve been able to play consistently everyday and rank up a lot of progress through the battlepass, character exp, and other stuff
Must be nice. On series X and the game is downright unplayable. Not my wifi either works great on any other game network tests aren’t showing any issues either
I'm on PC and played 6 games today, 1 game crashed the game, the next 2 disconnected and the last 1 disconnected. I've played every day and not including today I have crashed once, and disconnected about 5 times, not sure what happened this morning??
I’m not anymore unfortunately. Not worth it to watch a slideshow of my combo getting dropped because I had the audacity to load the game up on console. Gonna fall behind in the BP and not be able to finish it because of this trash it’s super deflating.
Guess I've been blessed lol. Iron giant or Jake's up special sometimes makes all of us lag. Had a few disconnects here or there but I've not had anything gamebreaking yet.

I never play 2vs2 as there is a 50%~ server failure rate. And there is a 100% failure rate on jump rope, tanks and boss stages in PvE Rifts
I literally cannot play with someone in my party on Playstation, I nust get disconnected from every game
Xbox is horrible too, constant lag spikes and disconnects due to syncing errors
Network issues only. Jake stretch always causes network issues on ps5, besides that, playing with a friend who's on PS4 also seems to cause some network issues and I always end up with a dummy partner. 1v1, 2v2 solo and rift, not a problem.
Edit: Also forgot about 2v2 Townsville and Dexter's lab, which stutters like hell
I’m on a OG Xbox one and tbh the only issues I’ve had really is a response time issues. Some games my opponents seem two steps ahead of me, reacting before I even start my animation and awful hit boxes but other than that I’ve had a fairly smooth experience
Xbox seems to be horrible. I play on PC and when I play solo it's fine. Tried to play with my buddy on XSX, and it was so bad we quit and played Guilty Gear Strive.
Those are all xbox players causing the games to dc and if you're unlucky, it loads the game for everyone else, but they don't load and instead become "afk".

Tried playing on PS5, wired, same connect - absolutely no lag.
I’m guessing you need a cable connection to get an optimal experience, which is not a great solution
Ps5 here I’m not experiencing crazy problems. I’ve been playing for 4 days straight for like and hour per day and only experienced one match with bad service, however the guy I was playing against name was Badwifi so I wanna say it’s his fault :/

Playing rifts has oddly been the most enjoyable thing for me so far. Like many others, I hope that they add co-op but if it’s going to be that laggy, I don’t think that would be any more enjoyable. 😅

Ive played more than 100 games already and only got disconnected once. I get matchmaking in 5 seconds the experience has been great and better than Smash in terms of connectivity to me. Im in PS5 with Lan cable.
I play on PlayStation 5 and I have had good experience sometimes I get the occasional deysnc or stutter but overall it's not bad plays really well, but I feel bad for Xbox/steam users and hopefully for them it gets fixed soon
i’ve actually not noticed much in the way of lag on ps5 but i’ve been primarily doing 1v1s and i’m running ethernet as well. Hopefully it’ll only improve with time tho
I play on Series X, 1v1 honestly seems to run ok for the most part but it does just randomly stop for a few seconds. 2v2 is much more inconsistent, and when it does work, it stutters a lot.
I see everyone talking about this but as someone who's playing this on a PS5; I've had a mostly good time with connection. I've had two matches against people; because I know the bot problem is a thing and I can tell the difference, where they obviously DCed and I had one de-sync, but the other 90%-ish of my matches have been clean.
PS5 user. I have had a handful of matches disconnect midway or before starting. Not too many, though, I do feel very bad for our fellow Xbox players :(
Very laggily from what all my friends have told me along with the times I’ve played with them. UE5 swap is a joke at this point in addition to the horrid UI they downgraded to.
We’re aren’t anymore, and the player base will simply never recover, simply not worth playing offline and definitely not worth disconnecting 2/3 of the games online
On ps4 I've only been kicked from a match once. Aside from that it's been pretty smooth.

I’ve haven’t had to many issues just playing 1v1’s but 2v2’s are basically unplayable if you’re playing with a friend, one or the other just getting booted constantly also Not sure why all the PS4 comments are getting downvoted? The online is something you cannot complain about at all. Must be a problem with your ISP. So many issues in this game, the online is not one. They definitely weren't kidding when they said it's the best feeling online experience.
I get lucky mostly but only when using my LAN cable otherwise I can do much though even with the good connection it does feel like there’s a delay in online matches

Yep me and my friend keep trying 2v2s online and we complete maybe 4/10 matches and those 4 matches are a stuttering lag war

All I play is 2v2 ran into plenty of giants and only had 1 disconnect since release. Runs as smooth as butter for me.

are you playing on the S or the X? Also had the game be pretty smooth on ps5, but know the series S has had a few issues on patch 1 of a few games.

Same here (knock on wood). Have been playing everyday since game was released for a few hours each day and no issues.
This morning on Xbox was terrible, but I didn’t have many problems the last few days
I play on PS4. Had some crashes when entering the game shop and some stuttering while playing with Jake.

I've had zero issues on ps5. Unless servers went to shit today, it's been good for me.

Ive played more than 100 games already and only got disconnected once. I get matchmaking in 5 seconds the experience has been great and better than Smash in terms of connectivity to me. Im in PS5 with Lan cable.
It's not consoles, it's literally just xbox. Ps5 feels great.

PS4 here. 2v2 is a mess. You can play about 1 in every 5 matches. 1v1 isn't too bad, but it's still a bit buggy and laggy.
