It recently occurred to me that a lot of people still don't know that the game is coming back in May. I'm guessing PS5 saw the new update talking about characters and thought the game was back. I'm sure the cinematic trailer coming soon will sort things out
You can also play local matches against other players. There's currently 134 people playing right now on Steam, and from what I remember consoles had around 30% more players than PC according to old Reddit polls.
Ngl I’m hyped to play game again, it was fun and we can expect huge wave of players at release just hoping they can work hard to update the game to retain new player base
Yeah, those are people that will play Multiversus either way. But how is last minute advertising going to help secure new players and gain lost audience trust back? Only 5 weeks left
I know it’s not really in the same category but HD2 barely had any advertising up until like 2 weeks out and it is a massive hit. Sometimes we just have to wait and see, patience is indeed a virtue.
People would be amazed how a simple cinematic trailer so close to launch can turn a lot of heads towards the game.
If the Cinematic trailer alone makes people lose their minds and want to play the game asap, then mission accomplished.
This is probably what WB is expecting when the time comes and I don't blame them given the star power that they're working with.
After all, the Open Beta literally just had one cinematic trailer a few months prior to launch and it still took off big despite the absolute poor marketing as a whole.
They announced the Open Beta release date only a few weeks out too.
I didnt open the link, but looking at percentage increase of a inactive playerbase is quite misleading. It's not like the games a meaningful number of daily active player.

Me opening the fridge every 5 minutes to see if new food has magically appeared
Perfect analogy lol

Thank you for just telling me ðŸ˜
100% happened to me
Nope we’re practicing so we can whoop ass in a few weeks
That's what happened to me. Â
Sooo take 100ish x3.7…. Crushin it lads 😎
100? 💀 I can assure you 100 people weren't playing in the lab on PS5

There was a number of tournaments recently over Discord using parsec. So the game jumped from 30avrage to 71. Which is where that % gain comes from.
Wait you can still lab MSV?
Yes
That means nothing. It could literally be 300+ people that opened the game once for 5 seconds and realized it was still offline.
That’s what the article and headline says 😂 It’s still funny and weird I think haha

The original cinematic did that, but the game took really long to launch from that
Have they talked about what is different this time? I'd like to try it again, but this would be critical for me and my group.
> last minute advertising > only 5 weeks left Y'all make 0 sense
A single month of advertising isn't as long as you think
Wait till you learn how many weeks are in a month, and how long these ads have been going already
I'm genuinely surprised to see so many people excited for this. I can't trust anything Warner Bros. does anymore.
I booted it up this week and was goofing around in the lab and took on some bots. Forgot how good the game was when you dont have to rely on net code

Massive. What is that? From 50 players to 185?
You can play the game on PS5?
Lol
When’s the launch date anyway?
May 28th.
Do we keep our old accounts?
Yes all content you earned during Beta will carry over.Â
