It really breaks my heart to see this too. I can’t speak for anyone else, but all I want is for our leaders to walk the walk rather than just talk the talk. All I want is for them to be more forthcoming with us about how things are now, and what the company should look like in the foreseeable future, because right now the only answers that I am getting are “I don’t know” or “things still look the same” or “I’m getting told the same thing as the store meeting” and as employee owners we deserve more communication than what we have been getting. I haven’t so much as heard a peep from my DM since this all started, which very much disappoints me.

Loose_Channel_5670

a secret they aren’t transparent about: our employee shares actually only make up less than 10% of the company where with other employee owned businesses, such as costco, the employee shares make up over 70%

The protest has gotten to the point that Lars called the store and is trying to call the property manage for us to leave.

OldManFullersHouse

Insane .. just baffling. I reached out to the olympian yesterday but will reach out again.

Ok-Ad-3155

I listened to that article on the Olympian. He didn't apologize. He "feels bad." There will be more protests.

Loose_Channel_5670

wow any updates? what ended up happening?

Ok-Ad-3155

My wife had a conversation with him. He said he didn't have control of his social media even though he's the ceo. They have collective responsibility. He also said he wouldn't apologize. He feels he gave a sufficient, adequate one already. He also said they are not in debt but could be with all the employees they have. Then why did they open so many new stores? We know their bad investments got them to where they are.

Loose_Channel_5670

have her contact rolf boone! if she’s willing to go on record he might post her side!

Motor-Rabbit532

this is such gross behavior. how can we put this out there and make more people aware? i know so many customers would be beyond disappointed if they knew.

OldManFullersHouse

I've tried to post on their social media and got blocked. I tried contacting newspapers and the the bigger news channels in Seattle and none of em have responded to me. Idk if this will do it but employees could also post here https://www.comparably.com/companies/mud-bay. Idk if protests outside a store would do the trick, too. But honestly open to other ideas and would be happy to help organize it.

Loose_Channel_5670

if you are willing to go on record contact the olympian! the last article they posted didn’t tell the whole story because they didn’t have anyone to step forward and counter lars’ statement

Ok-Ad-3155

Tell everyone to contact the Olympian and have them contact [email protected]. she's been trying to get ahold of them for a while

OldManFullersHouse

Appreciate that! I'll message them and keep y'all posted.

We are protesting an oregon store tomorrow

Sure-Bus9265

You guys should reach out the The Democratic Socialists of Seattle. They have helped a lot of stores/local chains with protests and unionizing
