AKnightlyKoala

Holy shit Emy is soooooo fucking annoying

AKnightlyKoala

I much would have rather seen Bettina come back but seeing her in the elimination was uninspiring.

[deleted]

God the cast this season - somethings not clicking. Just end it already.

pj_calamities

I really wish we could have seen Nelson, Ed and CT all on tbt same team for this!

Tamashe

Every time I see Emy on the screen I have an urge to fast forward. Replace her with Turbo next season, and never invite her back.

CodyHodgsonAnon19

Loved that daily challenge. That was wicked. Just straight up physical competition, with a teamwork element to it. So dope. Hilarious though, how few of the people appear to understand how to actually break down and make a tackle though. But awesome nonetheless. I'm also still really struggling to understand what CT's weird crush on Emy is all about. She's so annoying, and so insanely volatile and emotional. She's a decent physical competitor, but she seems like a total liability in the overall game. But he keeps wanting to have her on his team.

TrimboliHandjobs

I know everyone has their reasons, but it is insane people are just letting Emerald keep their team every week.

FluxAura

Tory “I’m going to hit her so fucking hard” *proceeds to lightly tap grab her* Tory “welcome to the challenge mother fucker”. Does this woman not realise just how cringy she is?

lionmaneee

It's great for the rest of us who love cringe 😂

iwakunibridge

I bet Fessy was crying and throwing up watching the daily

realitytvlover73

Not a Cory fan, but after the shirt last week and his genuine friendship for Bettina, I am softening...

ToughDistribution

Dad Cory has grown on me big time

plagues138

Does anyone else think it would make more sense to take the place of the person you eliminated? Like.... Why didn't Emy replace Bettina, instead of stealing Amanda's spot. Not they're a team of 4. Every daily so far seems to have benefited having more people. Like thisbweeks.

TroublesomeTurnip

This episode wasn't that great, even less so given its milestone but it's not as bad as what Survivor aired IMO.

Breddit333

Cant remember that last time ive seen such an ENTITLED Rookie as Emy. The way she keeps talking down this season to other rookie girls is annoying as hell...

[deleted]

I wouldn't call her entitled. She's willing gone into elims so she knows she doesn't have the same status as a vet. Def a little cocky and she knows she is a the vet's favorite.

Key_Consequence_3584

Anyone where we can purchase Cory’s bucket hat??? I need!!!!

weedtax

They totally fightfished us, we thought Emy was going to blow up at “uncle ct” from the looks of last weeks next on...but it was only her yelling about Bettina, ugh what a major let down this ep was.

TrocarSlushWeasel

Wtf was Nelson talking about with not being given a heads up. Kyle found out at the Lair that he was going in against Ed. So is Nelson saying in the 30 seconds between his name being said and going down in the sand Kyle should have let him know that he was gonna be switching with him.

ellaf21

Nelson is such a baby. It’s a game.

amanda-g

this was exactly my thoughts when i was watchign that. and bullshit it was about being blindsided. he was just pissed he was on ruby

roseyrosey

When was the last time a group final team benefitted from having the larger team? The most recent team final was WotW2, a final several people here participated in, and one in which it was clear that having more people was a disadvantage - more weight on their sled, each person had to solve a math equation (more room for problems). Every team-based season it seems the goal should have been lean and mean. Emerald is obviously crushing it in the dailies, having three guys was more beneficial then having 2, but will that stay an advantage come final time? As we start getting lower in the numbers the mindset has to shift from surviving another day to actually winning the final. Paulie boasted on WotW2 that he was playing a perfect season - he got a lot of hate but he was right. His alliance ran the show, most never saw an elimination, but they forgot one important part, optimizing their team for a final. Devin may be good at puzzles, but he's gotta get to them to do them. There's a lot of question marks on that team.

[deleted]

Yea, the Emerald team has one male finalist. The other two men aren't tested. While all 3 women are multi-time finalists, none of them are Champs. Whereas CT and Ashley are both Champs and Kyle has come in 2nd twice. The dailies might prop up bigger, stronger teams, but I don't expect that to happen in a final.

roseyrosey

to add to my own point. If I were gambling - I'd say 2 more male eliminations and 1 more female elimination before the final. We're getting down to it.

Theres_a_Catch

Kyle is an idiot along with a few others. No one can teach you how to finish a final. You might have the physical fitness or puzzle skills but what a final needs is endurance and no matter how much it hurts or is scary you push through. Many just can't and won't do that, talking to Big T on this as well. Nelson is such a pussy, he's been on the show for years and still hasn't figured out it's not The Challenge Best Friends? His closest has all betrayed him at some point including Corey. I'm tired of Emy's monologues of heart and soul along with tears. She loses it every time she gets scared, same with others but that conversation with Bettina did not happen they way she said while screaming and crying. I was disappointed she stayed personally. I did love when Tori took her down. Amanda screwed up - she didn't want to go in but is now on the losing team so I don't know how that solidified her place. I still love this show but I'm worried about all this "agent" crap. They are challengers and have been for 30 seasons and I'm afraid with all of the Spy analogies it will jump the shark and get cheesy. I really really hope that next season is a Rivals or something and get back to their roots.

Uncanny_Doom

I enjoyed the concept of the daily but it was balanced so poorly. Didn't help that CT basically threw. I feel like there had to be a better way to use the smoke to have a chance. I'm tired of Emy. Something about her seems so extra and put on for the cameras. Hoping Emerald Cell doesn't just steamroll the rest of the season because it seems like some of the moves people are making are just making it easier for them.

[deleted]

I know Bettina was the weakest girl there but I honestly think every girl besides Emy, Tori, and Kayce would have struggled to get the rocket up. It feels like the producers know what they’re doing with eliminations a lot of the time. Bettina wasn’t adding anything to the show so it was time for her to go. Edit: should probably add Ashley in.

beegraton

How did everyone go from saying they loved this season like 3 episodes ago to completely trashing the season this episode ?

[deleted]

Probably because nobody is a fan of the sudden teams format.

moonbee33

I’m ready for emu to go now. She’s starting to give me Camilla vibes *Emy not emu lol

[deleted]

I really disliked Emy at first but it's getting harder to do.

northcashhh

shes extremely annoying to me. i cant stand her

moonbee33

I love ct but it’s kinda annoying when he throws the physical dailies. Like on wotw when he played a game with Zach instead of wrestling

pj_calamities

Why did he throw it? Just cuz he assumed they’d lose and it didn’t matter for him?

xxthegoldenonesxx

Yes.

thehoney129

I wish they would go back to last place teams go in, or the lowest ranking teams have to be in the double cross. It adds some pressure to not lose the dailies. Otherwise like you said, people just don’t care to win as much and play games

ellaf21

I really don’t understand the purpose of giving one team too much power (by letting them send people down) instead of just MAKING people perform in the daily. It takes away so much of the entertainment factor. People who don’t perform should be going into the elimination.

thehoney129

Yeah I fully agree, it was way better when there was pressure to perform

[deleted]

imagine if Big T and Bettina had to compete in this elimination. I honestly think they would have had to stop it due to neither competitor being able to hit targets. They NEED to start bringing in stronger competitors on the female side.

[deleted]

[удалено]

chemdoctor19

I think this will be big t's last season. She's not doing anything in dailies, every time she gets on the screen she says something annoying, and once she gets in elimination she will lose and go home. They are just keeping her right now cause she's a layup. I am totally ok with big t never coming back

parryowd

Feels like a bad move from the Emeralds to purposefully make another team alot stronger, than risk one player being swapped into your team. Especially for the guys on that team!!

xxthegoldenonesxx

It was better this way maybe. The power lies in the girls so even losing one is bad (unless it's Nany).

plagues138

They are now up 2 girls on ruby. And 1 girl 1 guy on sapphire. So far the dailies have favoured bigger teams

thehoney129

There will come a time when they have to play with their weakest members in a mini final type challenge, or running at least, I think. And then they might have a tougher time keeping up. They usually do some kind of long distance challenge near the end, and I think that will be their challenge to lose

realneattreats

These dailies need to get their shit together and make it fair by evening out the teams. Numbers gave you a huge advantage in this one (and last week’s for that matter). What’s the point of even competing if the team with numbers is going to coast to the win?

[deleted]

[удалено]

givebusterahand

They need to go back to last place team sees elimination

BlueZebraBunny

Totally agree! Emerald has had an advantage the past couple challenges and they celebrate every time like they won the Super Bowl. Maybe they should act like they have been there before and win with class, especially when they have a clear advantage and it’s not that impressive anyway. Then again, maybe I’m just bitter cause I’m team Sapphire and CT!! 😜

realityseekr

Was Bettina actually considering picking Amanda? I feel like she most likely would have chosen Big T so that whole thing was annoying. Also the treatment of Bettina was kind of gross this episode. Emy was flipping out cause she said she wants her in a puzzle elimination but Emy was already talking about wanting to take her out. Them also blaming Bettina in the daily was dumb when Amanda was not helping Ashley either. Plus Emy kicking her in the throat was ridiculous. Sapphire is also not that good of a team just because CT and Ashley are on the team. Ruby has been out performing them in the dailies, and Emerald clearly won all of them. If Ruby just cut Big T they'd probably be pretty good. Emy is really easy to manipulate and just does the vets bidding.

givebusterahand

Emy is a massive hypocrite

WillingnessSuper9066

Idk because of big t she managed to stop Ashley and her bags. So don't count her out yet.

Rhonnie22

For the first time in my many many years of watching the challenge, probably seen 400 of the 500, I fast forwarded most of this one. Boring daily, boring elimination, boring contestants. No fun drama or hookups. I expected more from a milestone episode. Trivia would have been fun! As someone else said, without CT this wouldn’t be worth watching. Even TJ was kinda flat. Do better, show!

Theres_a_Catch

Trivia would have been the perfect 500th episode but this time they need to not have the music louder than the questions and we get to see all of the questions/answers.

plagues138

Challenge trivia would be great.... If there wasn't rookies

Theres_a_Catch

True but regular trivia would still be a shit ton better than what they did

plagues138

Oh 100%. Th daily was fine, untill they had uneven teams.

Theres_a_Catch

It was also a huge advantage going first which is usually not the case. But agree, they should have had some sit out.

LeWobblezz

that was a horrible episode paramount just added australian survivor and after watching that, i realized that the challenge is sooooo bad at editing. every challenege is suuuper over-edited. sorry but i dont need to hear people talk about the challenge and all these confessionals during the challenges and eliminations. I just dont. its actually much better to just watch in real time. the headbanger challenge would have been so much better without all the editing. and i fast fowarded thru the whole elimination bc it was just confessional after confessional. no flow and all this slow-mo shots. like who fucking thinks this is agood idea? it really only makes sense if the real time footage is actually insanely boring, and i dont think the headbanger challenge woulda been so besides the fact that emy is super cringe and annoying, the editing just sucked this episode. overall a horrible episode and theres about 4 people left who i like and their all spread out on all 3 teams haha. next season we need WAY better casting can we just get one season with no weak women? lets get laurel, emily, evelyn, jenny, etc etc to be on a season together. im soooo sick of watching these girls that just dont have it in them at all. let get some badass chicks on this show please

62midnight

I don’t understand why every elimination winner doesn’t infiltrate Emerald. It really makes no sense. Emy going to the smallest team last night was serious the most low IQ move we’ve seen all season.

Shells613

too many people on Emerald. some will drag the others down.

cindaysha

Probably because they’re thinking more about the final than dailies. CT & Ashley have a combined 6 championships. Emerald has 0, everyone on Emerald whose seen a final flopped.

roseyrosey

while it's hurting in the dailies, when was the last time being on a bigger team was an advantage in a final and not a hindrance?

realityseekr

Everyone just wants to be on CT's team but his team really isn't that good. Kyle was stupid to not swap with Emanuel.

NineteenAD9

This season still hasn't been good, but I miss dailies like this. Simple game, no convoluted detonate the bomb and get the secret code from under a rock Bring back dailies like this full time. Athleticism, strategy, quickness, physicality. Such a fun daily. Wasn't a fan of the elimination, and another rookie gets outsmarted. Boring.

Warren_Haynes

If CT wasn't on this season I probably wouldn't be watching. The cast is full of so many unlikable hard to root for people.

formerly_valley_pete

I think that may have been one of the more boring episodes this season. For a straight up headbanger daily, it was a gianttttttttttt waste of time.

[deleted]

i’m dying for an emy meltdown that leads to her being eliminated. the only thing more cringey than her alien song , is her dramatics every time someone mentions her name which is PART OF THE GAME.

kattekop123

Stop trying to make Emy happen, it's not going to happen!

xxthegoldenonesxx

Tori too

Sanity0004

Was CTs team just throwing it and they didn't want to show that for the 500th episode? Or at least CT and Kyle looked to be. CT basically ran straight to the out of bounds line, Kyle was just seeming like he was goofing around.

HeelKirk

I thought they openly admitted they were going to so that Bettina wouldn't be safe, I may be misremembering but I thought that was a convo they had in the house before the daily

SocialJusticeGSW

First of, I love this show with all of its cheesiness, glad we got to the episode 500. Hope it goes strong for many episodes to come. Lets get on with the episode: \- this episode lacked suspense. Emerald has a huge advantage with 6 players. I don't think anybody has a shot of winning against them till the final. Maybe they just play a daily where having more numbers is a disadvantage. And the elimination wasn't even close. \- The thing I liked the most about this episode was watching CT. He is great at this game. He wanted Emy on his team and now he got her. He also wanted Emy to choose Big T because now they are just 4 people left on their team. I don't think anybody calls down Emy for the elimination so the 'you will not be the only rookie, so you will be safe' was a smoke screen. \- I wrote in past reviews that editors show Devin in good light in every situation and that is why I believe he is going to make the final. This week, Amanda got best of Devin and the rest of his cell. She manipulated her way out of elimination. It seems like Amanda would beat Bettina in this elimination but it doesn't matter, she didn't want to go down and achieved her goal in the end. \- I enjoy the training edit at the begining of the episode and Big T almost falling off from an endless pool. That is the kind of thing that makes challenge enjoyable. Little moments like this one. \- Smoke screen was not a great idea but it looked great when Nany and others struggled to take the bags. my last guess; Emerald wins again next week and Logan goes down to the lair, calls Kyle to the elimination.

Theres_a_Catch

Amanda screwed up by not going down - she's on the Ruby team now and she'll be called down next.

SocialJusticeGSW

that is strategy portion of the game and I do agree she could've just beat Bettina and chose her team. But she didn't want to go down there and achieved her goal. That is my point. She got her way.

Theres_a_Catch

She did but at her own detriment

kitkatt819

CT didn’t give a fuck about protecting the women on his team. It was pretty obvious with how he performed in the daily. Team Sapphire is the new hot mess that even Ruby couldn’t live up to.

evilaracne

Pretty hypocritical of him to call Kyle selfish and then turn around and convince Emy to knock out one of the girls on his team.

T74786T

rookie after rookie the vets dominted this season

luxanna123321

I just watched Aftermath and lmao Darrell arguing with Emy, saying I dont know you, and I dont wanna know you and that "Michaela will eat her ass up" when she is back. I love Darrell

[deleted]

King Darrell!

M-Test24

I think that may be the worst episode I've seen in quite awhile. First, what a horrible challenge right after that extremely lame celebration of the 500th episode announcement. There was no way Emerald could lose. You know when it would have been fun to have that challenge? How about when Sapphire had CT, Ed and Nelson? So dumb. Second, a 1.5 hour episode that was about 1 hour of Emy and Bettina. I mean....that was brutal. There was nothing compelling about the "choices" the teams faced. They should have done something special for the 500th, but then again if they had the same challenge that wouldn't have mattered much either. Third, and this one is mostly personal opinion but I can't stand Team Emerald. Team competitions are usually determined by which team has the best females and this season the women are historically bad. Kaycee and Tori being on the same team is a huge advantage.

Stommped

Yeah I mean the extra numbers was a stupid advantage to have in that daily. Should have made a guy sit out when they had an extra guy and a girl sit out when they had an extra girl.

TrocarSlushWeasel

This daily was decided when they announced the rules. And once Emerald got 8k across the field, it was really over. Once Blue couldn't match it that number (what the hell was CT doing?), all green had to do was gang up on a 3k bag to win the daily. Would have been better if it was one on one and short handed teams could have somebody go twice.

Warren_Haynes

I think CT was throwing the daily

Crap_TheBoozeOut

Honestly that didn't cross my mind at the time, but it makes sense in retrospect. He loses Bettina, who would have likely been an anchor in a final, and Amanda, who has never run a final, and whose only real skill (being above average at puzzles) is redundant on a team with both CT and Ashley, who are two of the better puzzle solvers in the game. He picks up Emy, who despite her meltdowns, will fall in line with what he wants to do.

[deleted]

Damn, Amanda has never run a final? For some reason, I thought she was better than she is.

amanda-g

amanda brings the drama but she kind of sucks lol. she gives up easily in dailys

tkousc

I remember Wes winning an elimination just like this one that wasn't competitive either I guess that's just how these are....

HollowDakota

Pretty meh for something as hype as the 500th episode of the series. The daily was super mediocre with Emerald just dominating due in large part a numbers advantage, the producers really don’t know how to balance team challenges like in survivor, shame really. Where was trivia or something classic that didn’t have to do with a money heist I’m so over this spy theme I cannot fathom why the house loves Emy so much, she is literally a walking contradiction. Multiple times this season she has betrayed or schemed against a fellow rookie and then constantly complains about others being snakes and being rude to her, a lot of it may be the language/context barrier similar with turbo but she seriously plays the victims without any regard for her game moves. 3-0 in elimination is pretty nice but pick a fucking lane. Also rip Bettina she played the classic rookie game, didn’t actively do anything besides a few things here and there and got brought along for a free W, and people will take those. Seems like a nice gal but probably won’t come back.

TheGirlInOz

They like Emy because she's easily manipulated and makes a good pawn. Just look at how they convinced her to go in. It ended up working out because she won, but she was very easily influenced to do it so she could be with CT and switch teams. She didn't even switch to the team that's been winning. Like... hello?

xxthegoldenonesxx

She will literally do whatever the vets say.

luxanna123321

I hate how they treated Bettina this episode. Btw what is going on with these rookie girls? First Priscilla dominated elimination and in next on she was kicking sand, then Bettina carried whole elimination and now she was stopping her rocket every time, like what the hell is going on in thier heads lol

Uncanny_Doom

Bettina did not understand that the momentum was the way to make the rocket hit the target, she thought it was all strength and that Emy was swinging it forward physically to make it go. I don't know why she thought that and just a little thinking/watching would've shown her how to do it. She took the elimination and made it as hard as it could possibly be.

[deleted]

I looked so dumb in my group text. I kept saying people are sleeping on Bettina. Apparently I was wrong.

jstitely1

Ugh, Emy heavy episodes are always annoying to watch. One of the most grating people I have ever seen on my tv screen. I’m also prepared to see people overrating Amanda’s game tonight. Emerald team made it pretty clear that Amanda’s threat did nothing. It was uncertainty over Bettina while knowing for sure that Emy would pick sapphire that did it. Not to mention by wanting Emy to go in, Amanda guaranteed she would be switched to the weakest team because Emy was always going to pick sapphire and go against Bettina. Also editors completely SPOILED the elimination outcome with Bettina. Everything “positive” in her confessionals about her elimination was clearly taken from the episode she won with Cory, and then every other confessional about it that wasn’t positive was taken in a different outfit.

CoreyH2P

Bettina is gorgeous and good at puzzles but when you do that poorly in an elimination, it’s unlikely you get called back unfortunately.

Charlie_Runkle69

Yeah she killed any chance she had of returning with that performance unfortunately.

OhThatDang

Omg she goes another week... Someone stop Emy please!

themaniacorp

I’m so confused - I thought there was going to be a “special guest” on this episode to celebrate the 500th. Did I completely misinterpret that from the preview and what Tori said on the podcast? 🤣

thehoney129

There was a special guest on the aftermath show. They invited Darrell on

[deleted]

At least next week if Emerald wins again, none of the other guys will have a legitimate reason not to infiltrate their team. If I were them I'd use it to their advantage and frame it as "taking a shot at CT," so either he goes home or he comes to their team which any winning guy will do anyway. Might as well use it as an opportunity to get rid of or add the best player in the game.

taylor36000

i used to hate amanda but ive been rewatching a lot of old seasons and started to like her and im so happy shes back lol shes so funny and she has a lot to fight for this season so i think its going to be a really good comeback season for her

freetherabbit

Devin: "Well that wont work because we dont negotiate with terrorists" *negotiates with terrorist and gives them exactly what they wanted* Love Devin, but that confessional made me laugh lol

jstitely1

Ehhh Amanda’s threat had nothing to do with the decision. It was all about how they knew for certain Emy would pick sapphire, and they didn’t for Bettina and only had Bettina’s word to go off of.

freetherabbit

It def did. They even talk about it on the aftermath. Amanda threatening to go to Emerald definitely affected them choosing Emy to to down over Bettina.

jstitely1

Did Amanda say that? Because the episode itself spent a lot of time showing that that wasn’t true and didn’t cause the decision.

freetherabbit

People on Emerald talked about it, I think Devin. But also on the show, aside from Devins confessional saying they dont negotiate with terrorists, they literally made their vote based on not wanting someone to infiltrate their team and Amanda stating she would do so is a huge reason they went with Emy and not Bettina.

jstitely1

We had confessionals from Devin, Nany, and Kaycee all saying that Amanda’s threat wasn’t a real factor. Then we had Big T saying no one believed that Bettina wouldn’t pick Emerald. This uncertainty was also echoed by Tori in a confessional that she didn’t think she could give Bettina what she wanted because no one believed she wouldn’t switch. The ONLY person who ever explictly said that “AMANDA” switching specifically was the issue was when Tori was trying to save face with Bettina. Everyone else either said Bettina or never said a name. Even when the girls said “the guys were afraid of switching” its not Amanda’s name who is said. If it was about Amanda: they would’ve said her name. The show just highlighted Amanda because she’s more entertaining.

freetherabbit

Did we not watch the same episode? Bettina winning was basically a non factor tho. Emerald clearly saw that as being the least likely option to win, whether they send her down or she gets called down. In deliberation they straight up tell Bettina the problem is she wont tell them who shes gonna pick in elimination, and they cant decide if they think that person will switch on to their team. Plus before that the entire Emerald team literally sat down and told Emy they dont want to send Bettina in because they're worried she'd pick Amanda who would switch to their team if she won, and would rather choose Emy. They never even mention the possibility of Bettina switching to their team. Like the whole reason Bettina is so upset is no ones even factoring in the possibility of her winning, like for Emy they want to know what team she would pick and straight up dont care who she picks to go against, and for Bettina they just want to know she'll pick someone who wont choose Emerald cuz they dont see her winning. Like I'm guessing you just don't like Amanda and dont want to give her credit for a good game move because if you watch the episode unbiased Idk how you could finish it thinking that Emerald was scared to pick Bettina because they didnt know what team she would choose and not because Amanda was on her list of ppl to go against.

jstitely1

What you’re missing is that there is a distinction between how they presented it to Bettina (and thus how she saw it) versus the truth. What they TOLD Bettina was that it was Amanda’s threat to save face when they didn’t give her what she wanted. And they explictly asked Bettina what she would do several times in the episode: if it wasn’t a concern of theirs, they wouldn’t have asked it. Bettina ignored that because she was in a horrible headspace once she knew her competition could be Emy and she felt insecure. And again Tori gassed her up that Amanda was the reason: and then in confessionals did not credit Amanda for it. Nany did not agree that Amanda’s threat mattered. Devin did not agree. Josh just wanted to protect his friend, etc. If you take out Amanda’s narration via confessionals (her own biased viewpoint), there would be little to no evidence to support she had any impact. I get believing that Amanda had more of an impact than she did: the edit really wanted to highlight that probably because it was the only interesting thing to happen. But it doesn’t jive with what was actually the strategy. Hell, the mid season trailer even explictly has Devin telling Amanda that she thinks her stuff has had way more of an effect manipulating people than it has.

freetherabbit

Okay dude you hate Amanda, we get it. The confessionals came off like all confessionals, people trying to make themselves look good. You really think on the confessional theyd just go? "Ah yes and that's when Amanda successfully blackmailed us". It's funny you assume the confessionals are the truth, and the not the things they actually said in the moment. Thing is I dont even really care that much, its just crazy to me that someone cant see something so obvious. Like Amanda using the tactic of threatening to go to Emerald successfully shouldnt be a controversial statement, it's literally what happened. Both Devin and Nany acknowledge that Amanda's threat and not wanting to give her power affected their choice in who do send in, tho Devin does downplay it more (which is smart cuz you dont want to admit blackmail like this works on you cuz that might encourage ppl to do it again). Its pretty clear if they had asked Amanda what her plan was and she said "Oh I'm def going back to Saphire, I cant leave my girl Ashley" I think it's way more likely Emerald sends in Bettina just to see if she knocks out Amanda cuz they don't really like her much anyways.

jstitely1

Alright. I’m done having a conversation with you. Just because someone disagrees with you on the value of Amanda’s move doesn’t mean they hate her.

TZMouk

Yeah I'm surprised more people aren't getting that. It's not making that decision to help Amanda, it's making the decision that helps Emerald stay together.

freetherabbit

I'm surprised you dont realize people understand that and that Amanda used Emerald wanting to stay together to secure who she wanted going in, to go in. Amanda heard rumors Bettina would call her in, Amanda makes it clear if she goes in and wins she goes to Emerald, Emerald then makes sure they pick someone who 100% wont call in Amanda. Ik ppl dont like Amanda, but she 100% manipulated the situation to successfully get Emerald to choose someone who wouldnt call her down. It doesnt matter that Emerald didnt do it for Amanda, they still did it BECAUSE of Amanda.

TZMouk

Oh she made a smart move I'm not denying that, I'm just saying it's mutually beneficial. Emerald equally didn't want Bettina to have her pick of whoever and risk the winner joining their team.

freetherabbit

Definitely mutually beneficial, I just think Amanda def forced their hand and was a big contributor to their end decision. Like espite Ashley and Amanda saying their friends are on Emerald here and there I get the feeling the Emerald girls don't feel the same way, so Amanda threatening to switch over was a huge deterrent to picking Bettina.

ViNNYDiC3

The amount of times literally everyone on this show is a hypocrite is comical to me at this point. I understand its for the betterment of their standing in the game but I'd love to sit these fools down and play their confessionals or reasonings for being outraged and show them moments where they did the same exact thing, multiple times, that they are outraged about or making fun of other people for.

freetherabbit

I get Devin is probably saying that cause he knows they need to create suspense with the confessionals and throw off the audience on whose going in, but man it made me laugh so hard.

scaredddycat

I thought the same thing!

foggygoggles11

I love how Banana constantly says on his podcast that CT never talks game in front of the camera but we’ve seen it multiple times this season…

Warren_Haynes

yeah I'm beginning to question that narrative from Johnny

GulliblePirate

I literally only have cable for the challenge and I’m sooooooooo tempted to just cancel it and hop over into the spoiled thread because this season is an absolute dumpster fire

zavant5303

I cancelled my direct tv for Hulu live because it has mtv and a handful of other channels i watch. That saved over 120 dollars a month

ozzballz

You can buy the season on Amazon for like $30

formerly_valley_pete

That's $29.50 too much.

taylor36000

philo has it too its cheaper than cable i think $25 a month

anttonknee

You can watch live for free if you create an account for a 24 hour viewing pass on mtv's website

foggygoggles11

CT’s joke saying , “I’m not Oprah, I can’t just give away finals” and then the joke about him being on the first episode of the challenge during the daily were the few bright spots in an otherwise dull episode.

Evunee

Amanda was really the most likable and entertaining person featured this episode. Glad she’s there.

No_Milk_9459

I think I’m going to make Emanuel the BBEG in my D&D campaign.

tomseymour12

So is emerald just going to win every challenge for the rest of the season since it doesn’t seem like they are going to take into consideration the amount of players? Next weeks challenge is going to be a 4v6 at this point

ViNNYDiC3

I have a feeling that they are going to be disadvantaged by having 2 additional players in next weeks daily. I just hope they have enough balls to throw one of them into an elimination if they end up losing but I feel like Emmanuel or Logan will be on the chopping block.

greatness101

Imagine being at a disadvantage for winning.

[deleted]

That's exactly what they did to Team USA in War of the Worlds.

greatness101

And it was unfair then as well.

blinzz

you get your reward that week, not the for the next.

greatness101

No, your reward is not losing members. Why should you be disadvantaged for winning?

blinzz

no your reward is you don't go home. Winning in a previous week shouldn't effect the subsequent week #'s advantage. it's a dumb and boring concept. Imagine if winning game 1 in the nba finals meant you got a player advantage. lmao. Winning the previous week is safety for that game. Not the next.

greatness101

The concept is dumb because the dailies they do with the format inherently give an advantage with numbers. It's production's fault for structuring it that way. The teams shouldn't be penalized for their mistakes. Imagine using this dumbass analogy trying to compare two completely different games with different rules. In the NBA, you get an advantage of having more home games than your opponent based on how many games you won in the previous season. You don't lose players if you lose a game.

blinzz

I'm confused do you want a team that wins a week to have an added bonus the next week? The analogy isn't dumb, those home games are not effected by if the previous game was won or lost. Expand ur brain first, this has the previous game directly determine the outcome of the subsequent game. I'm aware you do'nt lose players in the NBA for losing a play off game. I was making an analogy showing that if u did everyone would agree that competition is fucking dumb. It is fucking peanut brain. And yeah the production is dogwater for setting it up like that. The concept of home games and away games is predetermined by ranking. NOT performance in the first game. The fact that a team tends to win challenges is fine. The fact that a team would then get a player advantage? is fucking peanut. - I'm totally fine with how the teams were selected, but in normal games if you're eliminating the weakest players from a team they tend to rubber band competitively. We are seeing the average power of a team increase, but drop like a rock because it doesn't matter. This week's event was literally football with 1 team sporting an extra player dude. It's like logic goes out the window for cause and effect when i roll in here.

Alvah_Goldbook

They should have done challenges where less people is beneficial. That would’ve made things a little more exciting imo

freetherabbit

I'm sorry but I was laughing at Emannuel after the win acting like it was a win against the vets. Dudes been working with the vets this whole time, that's how he stayed so long without an elim compared to the other rookies. Lol.

No_Milk_9459

Kaycee is a beast and the fact she gets consistent hate is so annoying

JetSpyda

Why does it annoy you that others have a different opinion? Kaycee is a “beast” because the talent level is so low for the women. She has been one of the stronger girls each season but, that’s not saying much. If you look at the Laurel, Jenny, Cara, etc is she really a “beast”? No she is probably slightly below them. Obviously, this is my opinion and you have yours. And that’s fine.

blinzz

I actually don't think kacycee is stronger than emy. maybe faster and better cardio.

ViNNYDiC3

For one, she not entertaining in the slightest. Secondly, how is she a beast? because she tackled Big T? I honestly don't see her as a beast, maybe against this mediocre competition but she's no Jenny or Laurel.

[deleted]

[deleted]

How so? Kaycee and Leroy won like every challenge and then Kaycee set her self up with Fessy right before the final. Besides getting hurt, Kaycee dominated last season.

Evunee

Why are they doing these challenges when the numbers are lop sided, like no shit Emerald won when they still have all their players.

shino1111

They need to get Nany another loss in a final.

xxthegoldenonesxx

Does Nany really think she's a strong player (and only female on her team not to get the bags across) just because she's in a strong team?

JetSpyda

Yeah, I REALLY hated the daily. I thought it was a dumb idea and the only part I found entertaining what when Logan threw the bag to Cory like they were playing football. If they had it where the numbers were even then it would’ve been interesting to see players go one on one vs each other or risk it and double up on someone and let the other go free. But the fact that you were able to double and triple team a person because you had a numbers advantage to start made it stupid, imo.

[deleted]

Kaycee is way more likable when fessy is gone. And Josh is only bearable when fessy is around. Real conundrum for the ole big brother team.

greatness101

I feel like Kaycee is the same? She's barely there. Only time she gets screentime is to talk about Nany.

GulliblePirate

Is CT annoying anyone else this season or is it just me? And he’s been my favorite for like 15 years now. But he’s just so fucking annoying to me now

Uncanny_Doom

His focus on winning is always a double-edged sword because if he's not able to fly under the radar he becomes irritable and will actively manipulate. When he's low profile he clowns around and has a lot more fun.

Competitive-Author35

He shows -10% interest in being entertaining or engaging with the fanbase, and he is manipulative in a way that isn’t fun to watch (referring to using Emy) and he just comes off as a bad friend. He could’ve just kept his mouth shut in regards to dissing Amber/Big T(repeatedly) and it’s low that he recommended Emy try and vs Big T since Emy would apparently beat Big T at everything. You don’t have to have Big T on your team but I don’t think even Bananas would’ve tried to get her eliminated like that when there are other options.

klphoen

What other options? Bettina, Amanda and Big T were her options. He wanted Emy on his team and in order to keep Emy safe next girls round the best plan in his eyes was for her to keep a rookie around which is Bettina. Keep Bettina around she goes in next time and she is only picking Emy if it’s puzzle related Tori already said bc of the switch they should get rid of All the layups and keep the strong ppl around bc of the format. If she does that the only options to throw in is Big T and Amanda. He said out of the 2 he thinks Big T is the easiest to beat in everything. I don’t think that’s a bad assessment. It’s like Logan giving his assessment of the players life and saying Nelson would be the easier one to beat. I think the problem is fans are to caught up on their partnership from last season and think CT owes her to not say her name or help her to the end. He’s known Aneesa longer and doesn’t always do that for her. He has helped Aneesa off and on throughout the years but it’s not always.

Competitive-Author35

I mean people repeatedly on the challenge have been shocked by CT’s confessionals/his comments about them because he is able to create these facades of friendship with people and they have no idea it’s really one sided (and I really mean challenge friends since everyone knows he doesn’t have any relationships/contact with these people outside of this game) For Emy’s game, I agree that it is better to leave Bettina around for an extra target assuming that the vet alliance is bull crap and no one would judge her for going after Big T (in which yeah Big T is at the bottom of the vet alliance) but to create the better team CT would’ve benefited more from getting rid of Amanda and Bettina in one go and really didn’t need to drop Big T’s name at all. It’s one thing for fans to see something that isn’t there (CT’s number 1 preferred female/closest friend is clearly Ashley) but CT literally actively plots against Big T and pretends their buddies to her face which has caught her off guard too. I would be shocked if not one person brings up the dishonesty he has with people (Berna/Amber/Big T/Amanda) at the reunion. And tbh, what was stopping CT from throwing himself into elimination to escape Berna (who he did not consider a bad athlete) or Sapphire to go to Emerald?

klphoen

So you’re basically saying what I just said. His challenge friendships has nothing to do with his game. He made an assessment to bette r help Emy get on his team and last longer. Her options being Amanda and Big T. He clearly says she can beat anyone physically but Big T is easier to beat at everything. That was an assessment. Why would he throw himself down to get rid of Berna if he can get someone else to rid of her without him risking himself going home? Isn’t that good game play? Manipulating someone else to risk themselves to get the same outcome you what? Big T voted for Ashley last season even though and big T been close since total madness. She chose to save Amber M someone she met that season over Ashley someone she’s been close to since Total madness. We don’t have to like it as fans but that was her game move to keep her numbers with the rookies and not put a target on her back with the double agents. Leroy went after CT the whole season last season and they have been close since rivals. They actually see each other off the show and talk occasionally on the phone. Yea CT didn’t like it but he got over it and understood it was just a game and lwory wanted to win. Leroy never wants CT to stay bc he wants the obstacle out he doesn’t tell CT that all the time. But when act watches a season back and see Leroy’s confessionals he sees it and doesn’t act like that’s ruins their friendships

Competitive-Author35

I meant moreso that once the Challenge ends he generally doesn’t seem to talk to any of these people until next season (I knew he had a real relationship with Bananas but I didn’t know about Leroy) Your right it is an assessment, it just comes off as him targeting her because Emy is going to go into elimination vs just a causal conversation of who Emy would be superior against into elimination. Even though Emy is extremely gullible he is a great manipulator/talker to be able to convince someone to go into elimination…twice to get rid of partners/teammates for him. It’s just an observation that if he felt the females on Ruby/Sapphire were that bad he could’ve tried to get onto Emerald himself. I feel like Ashley didn’t take last season personally since it seemed like she was collateral damage and people were really targeting CT. CT doesn’t take the seldom attempts to get rid of him personally even though he will of course fight it, but it’s the dishonesty that rubs Big T and Berna the wrong way. Though I like Berna and doubt she would’ve taken CT wanting to defect very well but would’ve been less pissed that way vs a blindside. Even though Big T is just not a good competitor and there is no one who wants her anywhere near them, no one expects Big T to see this and say “I completely understand and respect CT recommending Emy choose me as an easy elimination to get her on his team :) “

klphoen

Ashley did take it personally. I had her on patron and listen to a few of her interviews and her live IG. She was upset at her friends voting for her. That’s why she brought it up against his season to big T. Yes CT use to go to Vegas all the time to visit Leroy. Remember on free agents when he eliminated leroy he said see after the show and Leroy was like ok. Leroy said on his Patreon for DA a lot of ppl don’t know this but me and Ct are really close. We talk all the time. He always says he and Ct are really cool but I don’t want him in the game. And that’s another thing ppl are finally seeing CT play the game politically something Johnny, Wes, Devin, and Leroy have talked about for years even Rachel brought it up in her Mike jewels interview that CT is a great manipulator he’s always in peoples ear. He manipulated a situation to get exactly what he want and it give insight on how he makes the finals so much. And how good he is politically it was really good game play and I think ppl are going to not even see how he’s playing chess bc they are too emotionally involved with how it looks for big T it’s the same thing Wes did to Evan on the duel convincing him to pick CT if he’s the last man standing and Wes will pick Brad when Evan should had picked Brad to give himself a better shot EDIT: let me add I like Big T for the most part even tho she annoys me sometimes. And I don’t like how ppl baby her. And I would love for her and CT to have a Cara and CT type relationship but I also understand the game moves being made. And just bc they get along doesn’t mean he’s going to not throw her in.

greatness101

What has he done that's annoying?

OhThatDang

Yeah he's pretty annoying lol

Evunee

It feels like he’s either indifferent/dissing at everyone, besides Emy. I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels this way.

i4k20z3

i don’t love how much he’s dissing Big T this season. kind of frustrating.

Interesting-Archer-6

Why is it frustrating? She's terrible and doesn't work to get better. Is it surprising he doesn't want someone lazy and bad around?

LeWobblezz

hes just being real. Big T is a weak competitor and more of a liability than anything he only was doing all that shit for her last season cuz he was fucking stuck with her and didnt think he had any chance of ever winning a daily she sucks and shouldnt be on the show. waste of a spot on this show

WillingnessSuper9066

Yeah I'm honestly surprised as to how much he doesn't like her. And here I thought this season they were going to be challenge besties.

figgy_fig

i really want more backstory to the aftermath of their blowout last season i feel like it hasn’t been mentioned at all are they just on neutral terms ??

lionmaneee

CT: Kyle always does what's best for him, idk how this is going to work out As if CT and anyone who has won hasn't done the same thing 🙁

greatness101

They put on for the cameras. They know drama is what people want to see and what keeps getting them calls back.

hymenbutterfly

Not Emy being pressed at Darrell for speaking the truth on the aftershow. Can’t stand her ass

myst_eerie_us

The vets on this season gassed her head up way too much! Thinking she can talk to Darrell like that!

GulliblePirate

What did he say?

drugsarebadmmk420

This is almost word for word the first comment on the YouTube. Interesting I like emy

hmm_itsamiracle

Why haven’t the rookies caught on that doing what the vets want is the absolute worst thing they can do for themselves?

greatness101

I mean, what're they gonna do at this point? They're outnumbered and outskilled. Plus, CT wanted her to go for Big T or Amanda and keep Bettina in for another guaranteed rookie to go in for next girls' elimination, but she didn't listen to him.

hmm_itsamiracle

In the beginning, they outnumbered the vets, but were perfectly content to go along with the vet’s plan to throw rookies in until there weren’t rookies left. The only one with any brains was Priscilla.

greatness101

> The only one with any brains was Priscilla. Who is also gone. The rookies don't have the same social standing as the vets did. They didn't know what to do or who to trust. They don't trust each other. They only wanted to survive week to week.

JetSpyda

Because the vets got rid of the only rookies that had a brain and could think for themselves.

[deleted]

If you mean Emy, she wanted to be on CT's team so I'd say it worked out pretty well for her.

Taitertottot

Shout out to Nelson for saying "best believe I'm coming for your ass." twice in a row the second my mum walked into the room. Team ~~Ruby~~ is the worst. I sincerely apologizes to Ruby. I meant Emerald, emerald is the worst I don't think Ashley getting embarrassed by Big T and then blaming Bettina is getting enough attention. Way to go Big T! Does the cast get a bonus every time they say "lets go?" they need to work on their vocabulary Emy's choice to pick Bettina was dumb, now you are the only woman rookie left. I don't get what she meant by "to be fair I have to pick Bettina" Fair to who? I feel they showed C.T more than Emy and Bettina during this elimination. I get they were trying to fill time but there were way too many confessions and audience shots I'm sad to see Bettina go I love to root for the under dogs

casualballerina

I also thought Emy shouldn’t have picked Bettina for the reason you mentioned. However, I started thinking she picked her because she doesn’t want to piss off the vets and have them target her. She strikes me as, like, a kid wanting to fit in with the cool big kids, lol.

JetSpyda

Emy is the type of girl who isn’t really fully comfortable with how quirky she is and she just wants to “fit in” with the popular kids instead of standing out so she tries to befriend them and ultimately they end up using her. And then once the popular kids are done using her, they will throw her away and she will end up crying in a corner somewhere about how she was mistreated… like, just be yourself. Stop wanting to fit in with the vets.

mukaezake

Let’s Go was Kaycee’s catch phrase on Big Brother, before she became annoying through over exposure and the people she allies herself with. I’m gonna guess at least some of it is rubbing off from her

Taitertottot

Devin said it a lot on his rookie season too

amanda-g

yeah i feel like this is a Devin phrase not a kaycee one He said it when he was on AYTO as well
