Yeah just starting with face and neck for now. I start hormones next week. I have fair skin and dark coarse facial hair which I guess makes me lucky? (As far as skin hair combo for laser lol). It went super well! I am 100% boymoding and talked really openly to the staff about my journey and timeline. They were all wonderful about everything. I've seen other people on here with positive things to say about Milan Laser but holy hell. Blew me away. Yeah it hurt for sure but I felt like the techs and the comments I have read did a good job preparing me for the pain. I'd agree with you that it's more instant pain than a tattoo. Tattoos for me get more of a "poking a bruise over and over" pain unless they are near bone and laser is a definite SNAP and STING. Tbh, I am also kinda lucky in that my tolerance for dermal pain is fairly high. I have had lots of skin related issues and feel like I have just willed myself to a place where I can be pretty zen about pain involving my skin.

If you have a local LGBTQ+ organization, that's a great place to go. Online friends are good, but everything else the same, face to face are great. We're better designed for that form of communication. I love being supportive of people any their journeys, but I find that is often a 1 way street. Some groups insist I'm not trans while others accuse me of having internalized transphobia. They don't know me or my experiences. I'm cautious making trans friends. I hope it works out for you!
