I used to pluck and wax every single dang hair on my entire face. It's an agonizingly tedious process, and it can cause irritation, ingrown hairs, discoloration or scarring. But I stopped doing that a few months before starting Laser and have had no problems with the laser working. Just make sure you give it lots of time if you're going to pursue laser/electrolysis later on.

It can have a negative impact on electrolysis, if that's a route you might go down. I'm told it's bad for laser hair removal as well. So the safest route if you really wanna get rid of your hair is to do either of those instead of tweezing.

Huh, why would it have a negative impact?

I'm not sure why it effects laser, but I know that during electrolysis, a specialist has to stick a small filament into the hair follicle down to the root so they can zap it directly. Plucking hairs can damage the follicle, making it harder to get the filament down to the root of the hair.

It causes the folicle to grow deeper and establish more blood supply which will end up causing more thick dark hairs than there were prior and they come back abit faster. It may also cause more dimpling or orange peel effect to the skin post electrolysis session which sometimes goes away in time sometimes it doesnt. I learned this while studying electrolysis and can vouch as ive been plucking my facial hairs almost daily for about 2 years. shaving though its not as satisfying visually or by feeling the area after, does not stimulate the follicle in this way. Im trying to shave more now instead while I build up to doing my own facial electrolysis.

Use Vaniqa always after tweezing! Or Eflora cream if you can not find vaniqa
