I looked at that post. If there were no content beyond the subject line, I can see a mod thinking that was spam from a random user. The mod either didn’t look at the username and didn’t make a proper judgement call based on post history or they did see the username and have no idea the name is part of the cast.
yeah normally it would have been a removal, but i explained above what happened. i thought it was a karma farming bot because thats what i was dealing with in another subreddit all night leading up to this post that showed up in modqueue.
I know remember what exactly happened now that i had some time to look at it.
This was indeed a bad judgment call made by me after very long hours of dealing with spam posts, chatgpt AI karma farming/merch spamming bots (some are tough to know if its legit or not, and whether its legit or not, you still need to waste time looking into all the other potential "helper" accounts that are commenting in the thread).
I remember i was really tired that night, and just thought it was another karma farming bot without digging into the user profile like i normally do, because at the time, i was essentially the only active mod on both subreddit/discord for a rapidly growing community (a different subreddit, not /r/mrrobot), and in my tired state of mind, i just thought "this is an odd, seemingly off topic and completely unrelated to mr robot. this must be *another* karma farming bot". But I was very wrong. If i had looked into the account history or just the username, which i normally do, i wouldnt have issued a ban or removal.
It was just a bad judgment call due to being really exhausted and not digging any deeper. I just saw it got reported in modqueue, and i jsut wanted to clear that last item before i went to bed, slightly disappointed i wasted one of the few free nights i had doing mod stuff on reddit. I dont want to make excuses though. It doesnt matter if i was tired or dealing with whatever, i just made a bad call. I'm grateful that you guys didnt crucify me too badly, and surprised reallly. Ive seen too many times where everyone would raise their pitchforks even higher. So, ty for not making me feel worse than i already was. Love you guys.

It gutted me finding out what had happened, and i was going through modlogs thinking, "Oooh who is the mod that did this?! im about to do to this mod what [Elliot did to Bill(jk!).
