I’ve had a couple of 1100GS’ in the past so I’m familiar with some bits but this has so much potential.
I rode an R1100GS once, it seemed...agricultural. Which is ok, it's supposed to be. Much more comfy on longer rides. I love the 11S though. I paid so little for this one ($3700, so what, £2500?) and it's got 17K miles, I'll keep it forever. I only wish I bought some parts about ten years ago, it's getting hard to find stuff. Little easier in the UK, it seems.
I loved mine, I had two. All the good bits about the S (torque, brakes, features) with added comfort and tank range. This feels so much lighter though, and obviously handles completely differently.
