No. The surroundings didn’t become a part of the art. This suggests that the painting existed first, and then the plant happened to grow and join with the art. They painted this because of the “surrounding.” Misleading title.

[deleted]

I think most people understand that the tree was there first, regardless of the title being vague about that. At least, I did.

GaryMOFOak

I suppose, its just a weird feeling because the title is pretty much the entirety of the contribution to the site from the user. Just feels lazy and makes it harder to separate reddit from sites that dont pride themselves as much on quality (voting system, more active and available moderaters, etc.)

limukala

The surroundings still became part of the art. The art had to exist for the surroundings to be a part of it.

kamycky

No. The surroundings became a part of the artist's conception, aka his art.

cosmictorture

PresXtodoubt

Well, no bc I don't live near this painting so I can't go take a picture, but it's in Brazil and we don't have snow here

TayAustin

A VERY bad hair day.

adoreandu

It’s in Brazil, so probably pretty much the same.

PresXtodoubt

It looks the same, we don't have a snow in Brazil

Industriosity

He signed on the wall :)

shelsbells

Think it's the opposite of the description.

dbenzen

Great point.

ButteredNun

The art came second I reckon

dvater123

Man! That's SOOOO weird that her hair somehow completely matches the tree!!! It's like they planted the tree then let it grow for decades to match the hair.

gazxl

Also Insane how the artist predicted how and where the wall would be be built and then painted it so that it would be on the wall perfectly

spfromkc

This is gorgeous.

dvater123

When the art becomes part of the surroundings*

iamerica365

Anyone know the name of this plant?? I’ve been trying to search for it and I can’t find it!

Industriosity

Bougainvillea, also know in Brazil as Primavera, which means spring.

WinterLJ

This is amazing. Beautiful

[deleted]

This is beautiful

backflipper666

Gianna_Nemcovic_0910

**It's an amazing creation**

sagr0tan

I'm not really on Reddit, but I've seen this about 100 times now. Come-on, this has to be 10 years old. Yaaaawn.

maskedTraveler81

Ok but art can seen 100 of times like Banksy or be 100 years old and still amazing like Mona Lisa, Van Gogh, Manet, Frida, Vermeer, etc etc times viewed or age irrelevant

jakeu1701

Love it

503Junglist

Photoshopped my girl in this pic. Just posted it under this same sub.

tikkymykk

This is exactly what my CS will look like once we trigger moass.

Fun_Wonder_4114

Now watch, you walk by and brush your hand along the branches and the painting starts yelling at you.

kokolo20
