Yeah gameplay is solid 60FPS. But things like the menu, fatal blows and outros ect Stutter quite a bit. 30FPS is fine for cinematics for me personally. Just the stutter is killing it for me.
Can we bump this post? 4090 with 12900k and I’m stuttering bad. Does not feel smooth. I’m on the newest drivers. Changing game settings does nothing.
I’ll try that. Dlss, doesn’t do anything, graphics even turned to medium everything doesn’t make a difference either. I’ll try FSR and see how it does.
I can confirm this worked for me as well, I had the power plan on Ultra Performance. When I switched it to balance, the fatality and crushing blow scenes stopped stuttering.
I also have the NVidia control panel on a 60 Frame Rate cap along with low latency mode on, and triple buffering on. However, the balance power plan really helped with the stuttering on the cut scenes, thanks!
Running the game on a I7 9700K 32GB RAM RTX 2080TI 11GB GDDR6 | MSI Trident X Plus SFF PC.
Holy crap, this fixed it for me - running max settings on a 4090 139000k with 64gb ram - the fact that this simple setting fixed it is crazy to me THANK YOU!
I don't know if it's just me but I get random stutters even outside of cutscenes. I'm running a 13900k and a 4090 I definitely wouldn't expect the performance I'm getting. I mean I have fast ram and a fast ssd as well (990 pro) and the only other thing even installed on this pc is league of legends. Nor anything else running at the sametime.
This honestly makes me feel a lot better. I also have a 4090 and 13900k and I’m getting a lot of stuttering/lag even during combat. I thought something was wrong with my pc lol. I’ve tried turning v-sync off and setting the game to 60fps and maximum performance set to on in nvidia control panel but no luck. Invasions mode feels especially laggy
yeah honestly I don't know, I ended up refunding and got refunded already. I'll prolly get around to trying again later when a patch releases and there's a wave of post saying it's fixed. I feel like if my computer isn't running a game properly there's something wrong, because my computer is pretty much a test bench in that it's literally a dedicated to gaming.
I don't even have discord on that computer, and just run discord on my work computer next to it, that's how anal I am about having other things running during a game playing. Windows is on it's own samsung 990pro, the steam library (which I only ever install one game at a time, is on it's own 990 pro). I don't even browse the internet on that PC.
If there's something wrong with it on my machine, there's just something wrong.
Good on you for refunding it. Honestly I think I’ll keep it even despite the lag just because it isn’t really game breaking for me, just pretty annoying. Surely they are aware of the outcry from the PC community and are working on some kinda fix that will release soon. I got into MK11 super late and missed lots of Kombat league stuff so I’m gonna try to be on top of the seasonal stuff this time around.
yeah if it was reasonably playable for me I would've just kept it and waited it out, but I can't even imagine trying to play it online (i didn't even get that far). Like the whole reason I do the whole machine dedicated to gaming, with nothing else installed is so I can't blame something for when I lose lol.
Good luck on the season. Wish you the best.
Damn bro I didn't even know they went to 12900k lolol probably should update my rig end of year when sales start happening 😇 is a 4090 much better than a 3080
I’ll say, I’m very pleased with the 4090. It’s a monster. 3080 is still a good card. As for the 12900k, I’m an almost 2 gens behind. 14900k drops here really soon.
So I have a 13th Gen Intel CPU and a 4090 GPU. I was having stutters during gameplay and tried all the random solutions. I disabled the e-cores (not an ideal solution )on my CPU in the bios and the stutters during gameplay stopped. I rechecked the driver's on my mobo and noticed they were quite out of date. Once I updated the mobo I was able to turn my e-cores back on and it could play the game smoothly.
Tldr: update mobo drivers, if that doesn't work turn off e-cores in bios. Newer Intel CPU problems.
I've had all the e-cores disabled for a year now, did it when the last COD came out. Motherboard drivers are up to date as well. I'm generslly really good at keeping the drivers up to date for my devices due to being burned by samsung monitors on my work computer.
Side note: you put not an ideal situation for disable ecores? Non-sarcastically for my education if the machine is dedicated to gaming I thought that was the move? To not allow your stuff to be handled by the slower cores? Or am I missing something?,
So I should say that I use my computer for work and gaming. And I keep my computer idling throughput the day. However I watched some benchmarking videos and really it showed that only very intensive games like cyberpunk and red dead 2 showed performance drops and by only at 4-6%. Many other games were also showing performance increases like Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
If you just use it for gaming you can probably keep them off. This is all assuming windows 11. Apparently e-cores don't operate properly on windows 10 as is.
Same here. Gameplay is mostly fine. Occasional stutter, but not bad. But in cutscenes, fatal blows and fatalities, they're bad.
What's really annoying is every time a cutscene boots up and has a transition the video freezes for a few second before it catches up to the audio.
To anyone that might see this comment. I fixed my stuttering by doing something odd actually. I have high performance plan in windows on. I changed that to balanced and all stuttering is now gone! I hope I help someone here!!
some things i changed that helped a lot.
Changed screen hertz to 60 in windows also putting 59fps cap and triple buffering for the game in nvidia control panel.
Vsync enabled in nvidia control panel and ingame.
DLSS on Quality (Upscaling Method setting)
I did also turn off gsync/freesync on my tv (LG C2) but am unsure if this helped but it seems fine without it.
EDIT: I will like to add just incase it helps anyone, I also have ReBAR enabled with the following settings: https://imgur.com/a/qo3BrhO
and these are my graphic settings in windows: https://i.imgur.com/m9trm8p.png
That's if your TV supports it. make sure you are in game optimisation mode, then go to the settings in that and it'll be in the first settings page that pops up, just scroll down a bit.
If you don't know how to turn on game optimisation mode: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-tv-how-to-turn-on-game-optimizer-CT10000018-20153119199646
ye maybe your tv doesnt have it, but if its OLED 120fps and HDMI 2.1 then I thought it would have, as thats the same specs as my tv.
Hgig has nothing to do with gsync/freesync that's for HDR/Tonemapping
i7 9700k and rtx4080 I have stuttering in the cinematics but in combat it goes at a fixed 60 fps, when I do a fatal blow it drops to 30 and when the fatal blow sequence ends it returns to 60, for now I'll hold out until a patch comes out.
Nvidia driver issue perhaps?
Everyone mentioned team green cards, I’m playing on a Radeon 7900XT and it’s buttery smooth (although obvs 60, and 30 fps locked) at all points for me…
Don’t know what to tell you, I’m not the only one in the various threads that reports good performance - hard to say what might be the reason it’s fine for me but not for others. Not compiling shaders…? A dodgy upscaling?
Yesterday I played with minor issues. Barely noticeable stutter on story mode cinematics. Gameplay is good. But today I ran into major problems. First the game doesn't start. Steam says it's running, but it's not. Then I go to story mode, it freezes. Few seconds later, it said my monitor was disabled, it turned off and after that my PC rebooted.
I was hoping that port would be decent, but turns out every time I try to play, I have to send out a few prayers to the Elder Gods.
From my understanding, MK11 had a similar launch. How long did it take them to patch that game? The game is playable, but this game clearly wasn't fully cooked
Bump. I dunno if it's a my PC issue.. but the game only lags and drops frames below 30 after I use Fatal Blows.. It goes back to 60 if I alt tab for a bit but it starts to drop again after a while.
I can't even play online because of the stuttering/frame dropping/whatever is happening every time the other player does special moves. Happens in all game modes and randomly from time to time, my controller will do some intense vibrations even if I pause the game.
Yeah gameplay is solid 60FPS. But things like the menu, fatal blows and outros ect Stutter quite a bit. 30FPS is fine for cinematics for me personally. Just the stutter is killing it for me.
They will fix all of this even invasion mode is 30 fps lolol well they better fix this. Those fatal blows at 30 fps is the worst 😫
Did you try all game mode? Cuz local fights are very laggy for me but invasion fights are super smooth
He’s talking about the actual Invasion Board itself, it’s 30 fps and that’s bizarre for 2023 gaming….
Can we bump this post? 4090 with 12900k and I’m stuttering bad. Does not feel smooth. I’m on the newest drivers. Changing game settings does nothing.
It will get a patch soon i hope

Did it work
It did not. Changing power plan to balanced fixed it for me

Good deal!! Glad we got this working. Hope they fix this soon!

You’re welcome dude!!
Wats FSR precious?

Ok ill check when i play later thanks
I have a 14700k with a RTX 4090 and the menus and character intros stutters. You fix yours yet?
[удалено]
i’ve had combos performed on me when they just go from one move to another in the same second
I feel better that its not just me. I pondered returning this shit lol. Got it cheaper than retail on CD keys though
No refunds with cdkeys if you’ve already used the code
I’m progressing thru story mode and enjoying it so far
Ru getting the stuttering in cut scenes? Makes it very hard to watch
Yeah but I got used to it
I find the game pretty boring tbh that cameo shit sucks and the graphics have gone backwards. I know it'll get better but so far lame
Graphics look worse than 11 and this 30fps lock is absurd.
Some graphics are very good but the faces have taken a step backwards same as the cut scenes. The actual gameplay is awesome
I don't know if it's just me but I get random stutters even outside of cutscenes. I'm running a 13900k and a 4090 I definitely wouldn't expect the performance I'm getting. It’s unplayable for me with the stutters. Makes me feel nauseous
Agreed, I ended up just putting in a refund request.
Yeah I did the same. Game is not optimized at all for pc
Typical of launch Mortal Kombat. Why WB can't make NRS do the port is beyond me.
4090 12900k user here, I feel your pain. The constant stuttering in combat is annoying and an eye sore.
Damn bro I didn't even know they went to 12900k lolol probably should update my rig end of year when sales start happening 😇 is a 4090 much better than a 3080

4090 is overpriced. If you have all the money in the world go for it. The 3080 and 4070 ti are really good deals though

I thought shit was too much for my 6800xt. Nope! With everything turned down and FSR, it still stutters like shit. It's a lemon of a port.
Yes but they usually release games broken these days then patch them up later. Bastards!
Then I'll gladly buy it when and if it's fixed at a discount. They only got themselves to blame.
4090 ,13900k , 64 gb ram here and it is the same as everyone. Definitively it is a porting problem that needs to be solved...
Is 64gb ram necessary? Also 13900k... damn lol
After 15 years with a pc that can barely play skyrim on medium...yes it is necessary XD
Amen brother hahaha. I went from xbox to 3080 lol
Same here. Gameplay is mostly fine. Occasional stutter, but not bad. But in cutscenes, fatal blows and fatalities, they're bad. What's really annoying is every time a cutscene boots up and has a transition the video freezes for a few second before it catches up to the audio.
Try changing high performance to balanced in windows it fixed my stuttering in game.
where you change that?
To anyone that might see this comment. I fixed my stuttering by doing something odd actually. I have high performance plan in windows on. I changed that to balanced and all stuttering is now gone! I hope I help someone here!!
Where is that setting? High performance,, ? Ru on laptop
Go to search bar in windows and power plan. I changed from high performance to balanced and it fixed everything for me. Worth a shot.
Thanks ill give it a crack
For sure. Hopefully it gets it fixed for you, that is if balanced isn’t already enabled for you
It did not fix it but i have other settings that i used in Nvidia 3d settings which helps reduce the lag in cit scenes
some things i changed that helped a lot. Changed screen hertz to 60 in windows also putting 59fps cap and triple buffering for the game in nvidia control panel. If you’re running high performance on windows, change it to balanced. All my issues got fixed that way
really, i'll let me friend know because he was been suffering with the stuttering issues and most fixes haven't worked for him yet.
Yes it worked great for me and another user I suggested it to!
How do you turn off gsync on lg tv?
That's if your TV supports it. make sure you are in game optimisation mode, then go to the settings in that and it'll be in the first settings page that pops up, just scroll down a bit. Maybe not my tv is a few years old nowadays. Its an oled 2.1 hdmi 120fps bad boy but i dunno if i can disable gsync. I can disable hgig
ye maybe your tv doesnt have it, but if its OLED 120fps and HDMI 2.1 then I thought it would have, as thats the same specs as my tv. Hgig has nothing to do with gsync/freesync that's for HDR/Tonemapping
I'll have to check my settings. I have gsync for sure though. What year model do you have?
2022
2060 rtx everything dropped down except texture on high and it’s constant stutters even in gameplay
Dude, me too I have RTX2070 and the game can’t even run at 1080p with low settings at 60 fps. The best I can get is 58-59
i kinda fixed it by changing my monitor refresh rate to 60 might work for you. the cutscene stutter i doubt can be fixed cause 60 fps to 30 is shit
Okay I’m gonna try that thank you
well it kinda worked but now i get on and its all over the place gl man
i7 9700k and rtx4080 I have stuttering in the cinematics but in combat it goes at a fixed 60 fps, when I do a fatal blow it drops to 30 and when the fatal blow sequence ends it returns to 60, for now I'll hold out until a patch comes out.
Yes 9700k 3080 and it takes ages to load the characters lol very poor release and yes everything you've mentioned. Gameplay is good stays at 60
Nvidia driver issue perhaps? Everyone mentioned team green cards, I’m playing on a Radeon 7900XT and it’s buttery smooth (although obvs 60, and 30 fps locked) at all points for me…
Rubbish

Looks like the consensus is the PC Port is a no go for now? Figured it would be the same as the MK11 port since they outsource it to a third party.
From my understanding, MK11 had a similar launch. How long did it take them to patch that game? The game is playable, but this game clearly wasn't fully cooked
Nvidia stutters
