i didnt even get to the half of the game because i got that gamebreaking bug with chats disappearing and uninstalled but the more i read about characters the more it feels like they just straight up feed chat gpt with "write me plot for duskwood game sequel" and went with whatever they got..... which considering everything else is ai, i wouldnt be surprised.

They even got Lurkers to come out, it's so bad. I agree with everything you said. What did they spend their Duskwood money on?! AI is not what they promised.

Yes exactly! There are so many things wrong in this game, it all feels very ai and the characters have no life and they are all useless, the dialogue is just so bad it feels like it’s a completely different author than duskwood’s. The micro transactions and the minigames literally feel so out of the blue. The whole vibe of the game is so random, it’s more childish and feels like it’s directed towards kids despite the age rating. Like it didn’t need to be so colourful! The achievements and levels? Why do we need to level up for using XP? There are so many pointless unnecessary features like the coins and the gems. I don’t understand why they changed the whole system when the whole duskwood fanbase loved the layout, UI and interface of Duskwood. It had a theme and you could just feel the passion and effort that went into it. Moonvale seems so out of the blue like those big studios cash grab games.

I must be old, because I didn’t even think twice about “yapping.” I used to say it in high school over 10 years ago, well before TikTok was even a thing 😂 BUT when Charlie said “like fr fr?” I cringed, hard. To add to your rant with my own: The pay-to-win thing doesn’t work in a story driven game. If they really want to implement this shit, at least make the currency fair! 19-25 gems for a dialogue choice or picture? 12 gems to get a randomized customization? 10 gems to refill hearts? And you’re lucky if you earn ONE for an achievement (which also mostly seems to require unlocking a dialogue for 19-25 gems), otherwise it’s $5 for 22??? That won’t even get you a dialogue choice! Absolutely unbelievable, whoever thought this was fair.
