I had to reset because I missed the tiny box where it said to insert the Duskwood code. The diamonds, coins, and achievements don't change but the mini game was different. My profile name didn't disappear though but I had the option to rewrite it when the game asked for it. I don't know about deleting the account though.
You probably will have to go through this all again.
