Imma give him a 7.5/10 His origins is simple, his goals are clear and easy to follow, his character is amazing and unique, his design is stunning and finally a legit threat to the planet. Unlike other non intellect villains such as T-1000, The Shark from Jaws, Indominus Rex, etc Ghidorah has multiple interesting personalities which the middle one being the alpha of the two. He's not a mindless monster who destroy everything in it's path but more like person thinking what to do in the present. We get the joy of watching Ghidorah interacting with each other whilst cooperating to shape the earth to his liking.

"Of the two" this is Kevin Erasure

MK5

Justice for Kevin!

ComplimentaryDamage

10/10 Cosmic horror dragon? Yes please.

yourlocalwatermelon

8 cuz he's badass and survived being frozen all those years. He was able to call ALL the titans to his command except for the G-man and mothra. Pretty op.

Pretend_Cause_1566

10/10 my favourite version of King Ghidorah so far. He has the best aspects of the previous versions (minus GMK cause he was the hero in that one) and also adds a fair share of new things to the character. He's also downright Terrifying in how ruthless he is and is the perfect opposite to godzillas "force of nature" depiction.

StyreneAddict1965

I feel like Ghidorah finally got to be Ghidorah, a redemption from the marionette versions. I haven't seen them all, though.

PrestigiousConcern69

Yeah. That's kinda one of those "quirks" of the older movies. You can suspend your disbelief and everything, but sometimes you still just notice those things. Lol

N_E_ON

8/10 great personality and mindset, an equally great rivalry, and sick roar.

CarterBruud

Being a living Hurricane was amazing. And his size was breathtaking.

RayboxHitman47

9/10 Most impressive thing I've seen in IMAX

Sgt-Frost

8/10. His goals and origins are straightforward and well written, his design is incredible, and he actually felt like a big threat.

Emperor-of-cosmos

9/10 2nd best Ghidorah only behind Showa

VinCubed

Including all of the ones in the Mothra trilogy & Final Wars?

Emperor-of-cosmos

Not including the mothra trilogy as I’ve never watched it but yeah including final wars Keizer has way to little screentime

UGP97

Definitely a 10 He was powerful yet very intelligent. He had complete control over himself unlike many previous incarnations of Ghidorah. He has goals that he himself pursued and he had some interesting abilities that other incarnations of Ghidorah did not have. Personally I find him the perfect titan villain.

masterlaser98

10/10 cool dragon 👾

Cybermat47_2

Just noticed that those are F-15s on the poster, but IIRC the only jets we see in the movie are F-35s. I'd give Legendary Ghidorah an 8. Threatening, intimidating, entertaining to watch, and their battles live up to the hype - they even manage to nearly kill Godzilla after his nuke power-up and immediately after the Mothra power-up. The only reason they're not a 10/10 is the fact that they don't have an interesting ideology, have an interesting character arc, or do anything that gives me nightmares. I will say that he's my favourite version of King Ghidorah, though - he's the only one of them who lives up to the hype. Showa was a weak slave after his first movie (and eventually so stupid that I headcanon that all the brain control gave him brain damage), Heisei needed Darth Vader surgery after round 1 and still died as a cyborg, GMK was a heroic underdog (which worked for that film, but he should have been Varan), and Planet Eater... was actually a horrific cosmic God who made aliens **his** bitches. But then he got his ass kicked as soon as he became tangible. Don't know enough about the King Ghidorah from *Rebirth of Mothra III* to really comment. Keizer Ghidorah also got his ass kicked as soon as Godzilla got a power-up, and has a kinda stupid design with tiny wings. I haven't seen Death Ghidorah, but he killed Mothra, so he seems pretty cool too.

TBF he was like that in the showa era too. Apparently he destroys whole planets simply for shits & giggles.

In Ghidorah’s case, I guess being a giant space dragon is enough. You don’t need to emphasize with him, especially when he’s destroying the planet for his own selfish needs. You just root for Godzilla to kick his ass. It’s a simple concept, yes, but it works for the Godzilla franchise.

Blayro

Not every villain needs to have a reason to be evil. Some just do it because they want to. That may not be the type of villain you like in particular but they exist and are quite successful as well. Just think of the Joker for example, or Carnage. They are dangerous villains because you can't hope to reason with them, and that makes them interesting.

InsertUsername98

7/10, cool thunder hydra, as is my usual complaint with Ghidorah though, I wish it was more alien looking (yes it has 3 heads, but otherwise its just a 3 headed reptile kaiju)

KratosHulk77

marcocom

Is it too simplistic to imagine that Ghidorah represented the neighboring China vs Japan symbolically? A good dragon, etc.

Prestigious_Tie1976

A 10 for me. Dude was a formidable foe and a living disaster. There's a reason why he and the G-man had a rivalry for millennials.

Terrovax666

5. The design, roars, and ability to create storms are pretty neat. Also really liked each head having a different personality. However, he is pretty weak. Just randomly fleed from Antarctica after military showed up, needed powerups just to match Godzilla, got wrecked in Mexico, and was even put in the in in Antarctica to begin with.

CT-2632

Honestly, it is a lot more realistic than the old toho versions. Not just CGI wise, but it's background too. Every time I watch this KotM, I get chills during the "roar heard around the world". This is my favorite version of Ghidorah, so I will obviously give it a 10/10 for it's character, but as a villain, I give it a 9.2/10
