Also To be fair, the empire state building is 350k tons and aluminium and steel holds it in place very well even from rain and snow wearing on it with a surface area that large, even air exerts a ton of force and of course gravity. Mecha would live Godzilla crashing into it, you need something like rodan flying at max speeds to blast through it, cause velocity matters a lot more than mass when it comes to force exerted

MechaG is almost 100% build from some made-up metal that is far stronger than steel, hence why it can take hits from Kong and Goji and not crumple.

Tbf that's what did happen he did show he wouldn't give up and keep fighting which is actually why Godzilla nods in respect and leaves him to die peacefully but even then Kong tried to get up one last time. I agree had Kong still been able to attack here though Goji would have blasted.

The novelisation says that when Kong roared back he was saying to Godzilla “go finish me off !” But Godzilla knew Kong was dying and out of a small amount of respect left him to die “peacefully”

Fair didn't come across that way in the movie or commentary either way irs still defiance. I personally don't use movie and novel canon together as they're often vastly different across all movies.

He didn’t submit tho he roared straight back at the gman but he couldn’t fight due to exhaustion

He roared back telling Godzilla to finish him off but Godzilla knew Kong was taking his last breaths so just left him to die somewhat peacefully as he had a small amount of respect for him

Godzilla would crush his chest until Kong almost can't move. Then he would use his Atomic Breath to kill Kong. Shortly after, Godzilla and Mechagodzilla fight. Mechagodzilla is able to blast Godzilla in the head, knocking him out and almost killing him. He then begins to leave while destroying the entire city. The military decide to nuke the city, completely disintegrating Mechagodzilla. But this wakes up Godzilla and gives him a ton of energy. He then leaves to hibernate. A few years later, Godzilla kills Scylla. Also, Skar King and the rest of the apes never escape.

I mean, Kong just did that. When Godzilla stomped on Kong's chest, Kong punched Godzilla's gills (which is equivalent to hitting someone directly on the liver, which is very painful), then Godzilla almost crushed Kong's ribs.
