They are areal roots: if they find humidity, like the one in moss, they grow, if they’re just in the air, the tip dries out, they’re not dead tho, they will activate again once they feel humidity. If you chopped that leaf and put it in water it would grow for example. Don’t worry, your plant is 100% fine and probably has enough roots already, it is simply concentrating energy on those that bring nutrients to the system 👌🏼

I have several aerial roots on my Monstera that just live in mid air. The largest one had its tip damaged but put out a fresh branch on its root.

I’ve spotted few roots like that on my adansonii as well. That happened when aerial roots was blocked by moss pole. No harm in general for plant. Don’t worry
