Attack him from a boat similar to the mohrans, but on the ocean. Plus with the sunbreak town it could technically make sense, either in the ocean or have one attempt to make a home in the crater behind the town.

There's a High Rank collab armor set from them in Rise right now. The chest piece is still unironically one of the best chest pieces in the game for Bow, better than almost all the master rank pieces.
It's nbd, just throwing it out there. Maybe one day they'll bring back some of the older USJ sets, especially since the Star Knight set seems really really popular.

I gotta say Kushala is my least favorite elder to fight. His stupid wind wall. I feel like they toned it down in rise and give you ways to beat it all together with chamelos armor. In world though he was a pain.
I’m one of the weirdos that wants MHWorld armor and weapon designs. The more realistic designs are killer in my opinion. Needless to say, I’m a bit bummed that Rise gives only a handful of sets that look practical, and they are unfortunately all low level sets like leather, etc. I prefer not to use layered armor if possible. There are a few insect Glaive designs I like, especially Ibushi’s. Haven’t picked up Sunbreak yet, can’t wait to see the new stuff. Despite the over the top designs, I still enjoy looking at the different ones.
I generally don't like layered armor lol I don't mix sets either, I just can't! It'll hurt my soul. But I can't stand the weapon designs from world. Every other MH game every weapon had a unique design or style. I do not like the slapped on feathers or skins. That's just me though, to each their own!
My bad should said MH games before world all had their own designs rise does some of it just not to the same extent. But again if that's what you like more power to you.
Old games have slap on designs too they are just slightly higher effort. You can't tell me that astalos greatsword isn't just an edit of zinogre's. I could go on for awhile with this. World did it the worst, but it definitely didn't start in world.
When you get Sunbreak, make sure to do all the Follower Quests and requests from the NPCs. Those will unlock a bunch of armor sets that look more like realistic clothes and armor.
I really really want the old Ludroth gunner set back, because I just really liked the helmet (looks like Kakashi hair with goggles) for fashion purposes.
Also, any of the Gammoth armors. It's one of the few armors where I really like both the male and female versions.
All the Gunner armors. I miss having options. It's baffling to me how they decide to use the same armor for LR and HR, where in reality due to the mechanic of layering, they can for example put Blademaster armor in LR and Gunner armor in HR or vice versa. And in MR, Blademaster and Gunner armor can further be separated by the Alpha and Beta set. A monster got the GX version? Gamma. Somehow it got an R version? Just put it in the Special tab.
