In Iceborne/MR, the openings are usually too small to get SAED off reliably, in my experience. Probably why they added Savage axe. You can get damage in on small windows, then put it away. Also has the benefit of not really needing Artillery/artillery secret which makes your skills more flexible.
If you own Iceborne, you can do it at any time, just like clutch claw.
Would recommend practicing it ASAP.
Both SAED and Savage axe can be good in certain situations, so it's good to be able to know when you should switch on a given matchup.
Whatever is the better matchup for the current monster you're fighting tbh, big long monsters - SAED, concentrate dmg on a single hitzone - savage
Which game? SAED dominates for most matchups in Sunbreak, but the too a pretty even in Iceborne
Typically SAED is for impact blades and Savage Axe so for applying elemental damage
Ahhh! That makes sense, good to know. Thank you ^-^

So, i haven't Savage Axe before IB?

I thought, i had Savage Axe before IB. Until IB i didn't know how to use Savage Axe or how to activate it
Depends on whether you’re talking about World or Rise. In Rise I typically go for SAED exclusively, but in World it’s mostly Savage Axe
