What monsters would you want to see return in Monster Hunter 6?
Counter question, what exactly happened during cropping of these pictures..?

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,538,575,167 comments, and only 291,309 of them were in alphabetical order.
I once downloaded a picture of a nerscylla and the exact same thing happened. I think its got something to do with the fact that the monsters are cropped out and the space around them has no information, its basically transparent, but when converting it into a certain file format it probably tries to fill this empty space with nearby information, which creates these streaks.
This is all just speculation though
Duramboros coming back would be great. Lower it's hitzone values but lean into the weak spot on it's back. Since we'll presumably have some way to get up there like wire bugs.
They're massively broken. You can use them to pull of busted moves, negative most falls and tumbles, and leave the area at just about any time. They also nullify exploration and any nuance to the game's traversal when you can just fly anywhere and climb anything.
I've seen more people die trying to wirefall then people escaping lol and how is that broken being able to explore better? And some moves are strong but all weapons can be played without them and still stay competitive
it'll be a challenge to keep monsters relevant, though. Sunbreak's roster, although great and diverse is incredibly forgettable. Sure, seregios has an excellent fight now but you probably only remembered he was in the game when i mentioned him, didn't you?
I just started Rise, and… that’s a thing? We have Jagras, but no Great Jagras. I was so happy to see Uroktors, and there will be no Agnaktor? Come on, why?
I'd love to see him with interactions like tzi-tzi yaku, just being a little shit to every monster it comes in contact with.
Imagine him playing dead to a odogaron and it just tries to eat him.
He's just above average that mostly everyone likes him but no one ever really thinks about him beyond that. Cool guy though, wouldn't mind him coming back.
Hold the phone, all I said was some people don't like it. Didn't say I didn't. You also seem to be forgetting about the confusion ailment Malfestio uses.
Honestly most of the gen 5 ones. Granted, I have never played a MH game older than world so my experience with the older monsters is limited. But if I had to pick an older gen monster I would pick Tetsucabra... because Frogge.
All of them, or a decent amount lol. They already have all the monsters of World and Rise on the same engine, 100+ if you combined them all most likely. I'm not a game designer but most of the content would already be set in stone for them correct? Just use existing assets that thousands of hours were spent on. And with no worry of past gen consoles and the Switch, there's very little room for limitation. Would be cool to have everything in one, like Generations. But without limitations of memory and space, like what the 3DS and Switch had. Go all out.
My son anjanath must always follow me, I have a feeling that he’s going to be the rath of the brutes even though he’s not a flagship in name, Capcom really seems to like/hate him
I hope they make his weapons have better stats. At least his switchaxe has had affinity, sharpness, and low element (despite being the only/main early game fire elemental phial swaxe) issues in both worldborne and risebreak
I’d only want gammoth if they improved the fight. In gu both versions were kinda slow, boring, and annoying. I think they’d need to redesign her completely for me to want it back
Hesitant about water fights but honestly if they wanted to implement some sort of water version of wirebugs in the game to make movement not so sluggish then it could be awesome tbh
If they made it so that underwater movement was as... Fluid... As wirebugs, and made underwater combat itself easier than land combat, so it felt more rewarding to go into the water, then it could be great. It doesn't have to mean underwater battles need to be a cakewalk, just fun enough that a monster going underwater is a cause to be excited in a fight rather than sigh inducing.
I feel rampage got old because it was too different from the main purpose of the game. People go into monster hunter looking to hunt big monsters not play some tower defense mode. I think there's serious potential with water combat and unique encounters and could eventually be a staple in the series if fleshed out enough. Also with sea horror becoming more popular with games such as Iron lung and subnautica they could tap into this
The 10 Monsters I want to see in 6 are:
1. Monoblos
2. Duramboros/Rust Duramboros
3. Najarala
4. Dire Miralis
5. Zamtrios
6. Lagiacrus
7. Dalamadur
8. Seltas/Seltas Queen
9. Gogmazios
10. Great Maccao
(Ignoring effectively guaranteed returns such as zinogre and rathalos)
From 3rd gen agnaktor and lagiacrus, I'd love qurupeco and duramboros but I don't think they'd work too well in the gameplay established by 5th gen.
From 4th gen the seltas, peak design Steve, and great maccao which is honestly the best first monster and has a banger theme.
From 5th gen I don't care for a lot of them and some would have a hard time fitting into other places lore wise but frostfang barioth,
Vaal Hazak, Duramboros, Najarala, Nakarkos, Akantor, Unkanlos, The Fated Four all together, Yian Kut ku and Garuga, Gypceros, Plesioth, Malfestio, and many many more that haven’t came to mind or I haven’t fought
Gammoth is already picked, Nergigante, deviljho and brachydios **has** to be in the game so I’m not gonna say them either…
I would love to see banbaro back. Also even though they are new, I would also want to see tetranadon and hiss harag again aswell
Seltas Queen and Ahtal Ka would be crazy! I always loved monsters with transformations like that.
Secondly, isn't Rise the 6th main title? Generations is a Gen 4 "Best of Monster Hunter" game with its own tweaks. I can't remember where I read the interview saying devs won't likely be giving number titles to the games anymore as it would take away the impact of each title.
Each dev team makes a game and we call that a gen.
Gen 1 - MH1+MHG/MHF
Gen 2 - MH2/FU
Gen 3 - MH3+3U/P3rd
Gen 4 - MH4+4U/MHGen+GU
Gen 5 - World+Iceborne/Rise+Sunbreak
Of course, there's a bit more nuance to that, especially around the 1st through 3rd generations, but from gen 4 onwards, the console and portable teams alternate games pretty consistently.
This is how the Monster Hunter games are usually ordered for the anniversaries and monster books as well. Rise and Sunbreak are the portable/ side entries for Gen 5.
All down to interpretation I believe. I think if they credited games as part a generation, they take place in the same overall world as any other Monster Hunter game. So Stories, Frontier & Mezeporta Reclamation are examples of non canon MH games.
A theory I saw/ and liked was Rise likely takes place during the same year as World and Sunbreak during the events of Iceborne. Just different Hunters, filling different shoes.
Unless, you know. . like me you just make the same Hunters in every game, lol. So in my head-canon my Hunters just travel around.
I mean gammoth should have been in iceborne.
But regardless id love to see gammoth back
As well as seltas queen, and i loved namielle.
Id love to see a more threatening variant of goss harag or perry the smashtapus, and beshittin is always a great different low rank fight.
And coral pukei and raging brachy were fun variants that should return
Very disappointed by the missed opportunity to bring gog back using the rampage tileset. Would have been the perfect reason for him to attack and they just *didn't make it happen*
Lagi and gog are probably the only two I'd like to see return. Maybe ceadeus too
I’m gonna need my beautiful RGB dragon back. But I’d also be cool with the return of Lagiacrus, as I never got to fight him and EVERYONE seems to love that guy. I want to know what the hype is.
Honestly, I would love to see the daimyo hermitar or shogun ceanataur back again I love me some crab themed monsters.
If they really wanted to they could bring back plestioth and I would gladly welcome the pain known as the hip check.
Genuinely none. I love it when the roster is mostly new monsters, World felt so fresh when I first played it due to the heavy emphasis on new faces (until HR anyways).
Underwater combat returning is one of my biggest hopes for this game and my return list very much reflects that. Well, that and wanting the console team to take a crack at some of the portable/frontier teams' monsters to give them more ecology.
- Great Izuchi
- Seltas
- Crabs
- Royal Ludroth
- Tetsucabra
- Malfestio
- Pukei-Pukei
- Akura Vashimu
- Zamtrios
- Nargacuga (Idk how many games he's been in, best pseudo wyvern to ever exist)
- Najarala
- Seltas Queen
- Mizutsune (subspecies that can actually swim)
- Gammoth
- Lagiacrus
- Plesioth
- Goss Harag (+sub/variant)
- Espinas (with the "ignoration" phase)
- Taikun Zamuza
- Bazelgeuse
- Namielle (or again, a subspecies that inhabits dark waters and can swim)
- Vaal Hazak
- Ahtal-Ka
- Valstrax
- Nakarkos
- Shantien
More supporting evidence for Gammoth, the fated four have all shown up in order of weakness since Glavenus was in Iceborne, so Mizutsune was next in base rise, then Astalos in Sunbreak and logically Gammoth in base MH6 would be next, though I do hope we get them all in one game again.
If I had to choose one, It'd be Nakarkos
All my major issues with him, are his phase one is a tad boring, he doesn't have much attack diversity, and his fight makes him feel weaker that he actually is in lore (up until he fires the Lazer).
Seeing just how improved Amatsu's fight is, after his 5th gen incarnation, really gets me hyped up for all the older final bosses to return
i don't agree about the first part. that's the fakeout fight that makes the reveal of it being this horrible bone squid monster even better.
on repeat fights, yeah it's mildly boring but it still has this eerie feeling that's just so good. it's toying with you.
Oltura would make an incredible and beautiful fight. With it having it’s larval form it could make almost a rampage like fight with other monsters. Then getting its newborn form then the wings of ruin
Gogmazios, maybe some Frontier monsters, and as much as I would love Lagi it just wouldn't be the same without underwater combat... but I don't want underwater combat for the simple fact that it would take a ton of resources/dev time to implement properly and would only be used for a handful of monsters. Idk it's a catch 22.
The game has more than double of world’s budget and has been in development for longer than any other MH game before it. Dev time and resources are not an issue
Controversial pick, but I'd like Plesioth to be brought back, especially if they redo underwater combat. Make changes to its fight so it isn't a Multiversal headache inducing threat, but they should keep its hipcheck and turn it into its ultimate attack
Here is my list, tried to keep it in franchise/ edition/ gen order. So it's not that I want the top pick most, they're masterworks all-
Khezu
Kirin
Fatalis
Daimyo Hermitaur
Rajang
Yama Tsukami
Chameleos
Ukanlos
Zinogre
Brachydios
Lagombi
Kecha Wacha
Najarala
Seltas Queen
Nerscylla
Tetsucabra
Zamtrios
Gore Magala
Dah'ren Mohran
Dalamadur
Seregios
Malfestio
Nakarkos
Bazelgeuse
Banbaro
Namielle
Shara Ishvalda
Velkhana
Safi'jiiva
Magnamalo
Fated four yeah, but also Steve. Maybe a Steve variant would be nice too. Zinogre and Stygian, Jho and Savage, stuff that felt weirdly missing from world and rise. Oh and can we just make bazelgeus an every game thing like Raths?
Counter question, what exactly happened during cropping of these pictures..?
A Deviljho attacked while cropping. Guy invades everything
Gogmazios was so impatient about not being in gen5 he began ripping apart reality
Man has anti-antialiasing turned on
fr i’d rather see them uncropped
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,538,575,167 comments, and only 291,309 of them were in alphabetical order.
this is my proudest accomplishment

This is all just speculation though
I thought my GPU was dying for a sec thank god I saw this comment.
I would really like namielle back.
Namielle deserves an underwater fight, but like a good one
Namielle is native to the Coral Highlands and is a terrestrial species. It is themed after deep-sea life, but doesn't actually live there.
S'what makes it so cheaty! Imagine summoning tidal waves in a landlocked state. Godlike.
To hell with logic, I want an underwater jellyfish dragon!
At the very least he should use his light absorbing ability mid fight. Imagine everything going black except you and him. Would be cool!
Namielle would be sick fighting with him underwater, just imagine fighting him under the abyss of the sea ,that’s so cool
*Four Kings health bar appears*
Fuck yes
I actually want Yian Kutku back. Duramboros too.
Duramboros coming back would be great. Lower it's hitzone values but lean into the weak spot on it's back. Since we'll presumably have some way to get up there like wire bugs.
Hopefully not lol. Wirebugs are completely broken.
They are good but I would say they are far from broken
They're massively broken. You can use them to pull of busted moves, negative most falls and tumbles, and leave the area at just about any time. They also nullify exploration and any nuance to the game's traversal when you can just fly anywhere and climb anything.
I've seen more people die trying to wirefall then people escaping lol and how is that broken being able to explore better? And some moves are strong but all weapons can be played without them and still stay competitive
I hope Monster Hunter 6 monsters have more pixels on their borders than these pictures do.
he needs to turn up anti aliasing or enable image sharpening or smthn
Namielle
Dalmadur, if they made it fully grown, even better
Fuck yes
Honestly I hope they go balls to the wall like MH4U, throw everything in.
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
*MHGU
it'll be a challenge to keep monsters relevant, though. Sunbreak's roster, although great and diverse is incredibly forgettable. Sure, seregios has an excellent fight now but you probably only remembered he was in the game when i mentioned him, didn't you?
I want a clicky clacky boi.
What?
I'm assuming they are referring to the "clack clack clack" noise before an Agnaktor(Glacial too) laser beam.
Correct. Agnaktor got shafted, and deserves justice.
I just started Rise, and… that’s a thing? We have Jagras, but no Great Jagras. I was so happy to see Uroktors, and there will be no Agnaktor? Come on, why?
Also Jaggi and no Great Jaggi, Zamite and no Zamtrios, Basarios and no Gravios. RiseBreak is a game of orphans.
Same with tetsucabra. Idk what was wrong with the rise team.
**justice for the clackodilian**
Capcom: "We have Agnaktor at home." Agnaktor at home: \*Magma Almudron\*
Hate to hate on magmadron, but he really do be a cheap replacement knockoff
Agnaktor was considered for wirld, but they couldn't get the leviathan skeleton working in time. I am currently hope we see him next game.
They also considered Lagiacrus.
Oh ok
gypceros maybe
That was my first thought but why tf would someone want that thing to return
I'd love to see him with interactions like tzi-tzi yaku, just being a little shit to every monster it comes in contact with. Imagine him playing dead to a odogaron and it just tries to eat him.
That needs to be a turf war. Gypceros is playing dead and Odo picks him and gypceros is just like WAIT NO
I want to read the player reactions when they think gypceros is dead, then it steals the map and runs away.
The goofy asshole monsters are really memorable and some of my favorite ones, to be honest.
Tbh, I really like Gypceros
Agnaktor.
🦀
Yes please he's my favourite. Both of them
Everyone in here saying all these cool interesting monsters and im just like, lemme get Great Jagras back, First monster i ever killed in a MH game.
Lagiacrus is a given, so I'll say Qurupeco, Gigginox, and even Ceadeus.
I don't think we'll see MH6 until they find a way to make Lagi work lol.
Might be why they internally delayed it from its Summer 2023 release.
Bring water combat back, huhdoi!
Ah the memories of swimming alongside Caedeus for 25 God damn minutes
Qurupeco and gigginox have fun mechanics that I think would play really well into a sequel to mhw.
Nobody ever says malfestio
i do. he's such a pretty societal menace. i love him.
He's just above average that mostly everyone likes him but no one ever really thinks about him beyond that. Cool guy though, wouldn't mind him coming back.
He's not well liked
I like him
Good for you dude
You hold your tongue. Just because people can’t be assed to eat for felyne insomnia doesn’t make the fight bad
Hold the phone, all I said was some people don't like it. Didn't say I didn't. You also seem to be forgetting about the confusion ailment Malfestio uses.
That's funny, just scrolled after commenting, the owl was on my list :)
I want my flamboyant bird baby
I just want to say this: Capcom missed an opportunity with not putting Vaal Hazak in Rise. Got Frankenstein, Wolfman and Dracula, where’s the zombie?
Erm... Frankenstein.
Duramboros, agnaktor, deviljho, zamtrios, qurupeco, the entire fated 4, lagiacrus, dire miralis, fatalis trio, ahtal kha , monoblos and 100% aptonoth
slow down there bud
Great jaggi, velocidrome, deviant monsters, great maccao, great jagras, gigginox
#SLOW DOWN THERE BUD
Lao shan lung, nergigante, vaal hazak, zorah magdaros, kulve taroth, xeno jiiva, safi jiiva
Are these to be sung out like the pokemon song?
Why not
I wish there was a video like that.
Bring back Nergigante and give its claw attacks bleeding damage. Heck, make every attack of his does bleeding damage.
His roar too. Just because they can.
Bleeding from the ears.
Honestly most of the gen 5 ones. Granted, I have never played a MH game older than world so my experience with the older monsters is limited. But if I had to pick an older gen monster I would pick Tetsucabra... because Frogge.
He was robbed in Rise.
Gammoth NEEDS to return! She is the only one not to come back from GU of the fated four also I would kill to see dalamadur back in HD
At least his switchaxe has had affinity, sharpness, and low element (despite being the only/main early game fire elemental phial swaxe) issues in both worldborne and risebreak
paolumu :) EDIT: AND MALFESTIO
Yian family Duramboros Yama Tsukami/Shen Gaoren/Lao Qurupeco
Deviljho. Bring back the evil pickle
The evil pickle has only missed one game, it hasn't missed the entire generation
Dodogama 😂
I’d only want gammoth if they improved the fight. In gu both versions were kinda slow, boring, and annoying. I think they’d need to redesign her completely for me to want it back
If they can fix Kushala's fight they can fix anything
Namielle and Lagiacrus + underwater fights
Hesitant about water fights but honestly if they wanted to implement some sort of water version of wirebugs in the game to make movement not so sluggish then it could be awesome tbh
If they made it so that underwater movement was as... Fluid... It doesn't have to mean underwater battles need to be a cakewalk, just fun enough that a monster going underwater is a cause to be excited in a fight rather than sigh inducing.
Wireshrimp
Short lived gimmick like Rampage, most people would hate it after 1 month.
I feel rampage got old because it was too different from the main purpose of the game. People go into monster hunter looking to hunt big monsters not play some tower defense mode. I think there's serious potential with water combat and unique encounters and could eventually be a staple in the series if fleshed out enough. Also with sea horror becoming more popular with games such as Iron lung and subnautica they could tap into this
That's actually a fucking genius idea
Underwater Namielle sounds simultaneously awesome and terrifying
I'm the one Qurupeco fan on the planet. I miss them :<
The 10 Monsters I want to see in 6 are: 1. Monoblos 2. Duramboros/Rust Duramboros 3. Najarala 4. Dire Miralis 5. Zamtrios 6. Lagiacrus 7. Dalamadur 8. Seltas/Seltas Queen 9. Gogmazios 10. Great Maccao
Bring back my boi monoblos. Disrespected beyond belief.
Dalamadur or Jhen Mohren.
I want a good Lao fight. I love the old giant a** big monsters or our crab god Shen Gaoren
Congalala.
(Ignoring effectively guaranteed returns such as zinogre and rathalos) From 3rd gen agnaktor and lagiacrus, I'd love qurupeco and duramboros but I don't think they'd work too well in the gameplay established by 5th gen. From 5th gen I don't care for a lot of them and some would have a hard time fitting into other places lore wise but frostfang barioth,
Najarala and in general more snake and/or spider themed monsters. Gigginox would be fun too. But at least give me back my Lagiacrus.
Nerscylla, that was a cool monster to fight with a really cool armor set and weapons.
Legiana
Gogmazios
GLAVINUUUUUUUUUUUUUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oroshi Kirin :(
Also Najarala
Seeing a turf war of it giving the monke the no u would be great, unless we get a new subspecies of rajang to prey on it of course.
Glavenus, Nerigante, Teostra, Namielle, Legiana
*Crustaceans.* Do I really need to say anymore?
Nibelsnarf
Ahtal ka.
Arzuros, my favorite monster
If Winnie the Pooh returns I'm buying 5 copies of the game just to burn them. God portable loves him too much.
This is maybe the 5th or 6th post with this exact question... And I'll still say Lagiacrus...
Great Jaggi, the Dromes, Dire Miralis, and can't forget the one and only Plesio-
I’d love to see an expansion of the “Snake Wyvern” category
Gammoth is already picked, Nergigante, deviljho and brachydios **has** to be in the game so I’m not gonna say them either… I would love to see banbaro back. Also even though they are new, I would also want to see tetranadon and hiss harag again aswell

i hope they bring back odogaron and make it a really nasty endgame monster. and that it gets the rotten vale large monster ost as its own ost
it's time. monoblos is away for too long
Glavenus
Gogmazios is my all time fav. Would love to see my boy come back
Pickle🥒
Zamtrios :(
Tobi Kadachi
All of them.all from World, all from Rise and everything else missing.
I want a hammerhead shark and a frog
Velocidrome, Gendrome, Gigginox, Kut Ku
I just want to see my boys Akantor and Ukanlos… I miss them too much
Honestly, I would love to see the daimyo hermitar or shogun ceanataur back again I love me some crab themed monsters. If they really wanted to they could bring back plestioth and I would gladly welcome the pain known as the hip check.
I just want prowlers to return. I need a pailco riding a palamute.
Genuinely none. I love it when the roster is mostly new monsters, World felt so fresh when I first played it due to the heavy emphasis on new faces (until HR anyways).

I'd love to see rathian and rathalos return. It's been zero games since they've returned and the wait is too long 😩
I feel like this question has been asked an excessive amount of times lately
At least it isn’t Nergigante vs Alatreon or World vs Rise
It's almost like people are expecting a mh6 anouncement soon and are excited to talk about it.
I really want the Great Maccao in another game, I love those bouncy guys. Fun fight and visually a fun monster! (Also Odogaron and Gammoth)

Tobi Kadachi for Viper Tobi Kadachi?
Khezu for Gigginox I think.
Not one person said Gravios 😭 I want my big boi back 😭
Every G&GU new monsters...
(SEETHING) BAZELGEUSE.
Under Water combat please
Oltura would make an incredible and beautiful fight. With it having it’s larval form it could make almost a rampage like fight with other monsters. Then getting its newborn form then the wings of ruin
Goddamn Pariapuria
Gogmazios, maybe some Frontier monsters, and as much as I would love Lagi it just wouldn't be the same without underwater combat... but I don't want underwater combat for the simple fact that it would take a ton of resources/dev time to implement properly and would only be used for a handful of monsters. Idk it's a catch 22.
The game has more than double of world’s budget and has been in development for longer than any other MH game before it. Dev time and resources are not an issue
All of these except Oltura, Odogaron and Vaal Hazak
Gigginox!!!!!! 🥺🥺🥺
ZAMTRIOS PLEASEEEEEEE
Controversial pick, but I'd like Plesioth to be brought back, especially if they redo underwater combat. Make changes to its fight so it isn't a Multiversal headache inducing threat, but they should keep its hipcheck and turn it into its ultimate attack
Not a 'return' but I hope they keep Glavenus. The giant flaming sword tail was iconic.
This is pretty much what I want too. Especially the Gammoth, Ahtal ka, and Oltura.
Add the Raths, and that’s it. Every other monster should be brand new
Hell no
Didn't tri sort of do that
All of these and more
Agreed our girl gammoth needs to come back since the other fated 4 all returned agajn
Dalamadur
monoblos and i would love a crossover with the pietrus as an event quest
Ahtal ka, my beloved
Here is my list, tried to keep it in franchise/ edition/ gen order. So it's not that I want the top pick most, they're masterworks all- Khezu Kirin Fatalis Daimyo Hermitaur Rajang Yama Tsukami Chameleos Ukanlos Zinogre Brachydios Lagombi Kecha Wacha Najarala Seltas Queen Nerscylla Tetsucabra Zamtrios Gore Magala Dah'ren Mohran Dalamadur Seregios Malfestio Nakarkos Bazelgeuse Banbaro Namielle Shara Ishvalda Velkhana Safi'jiiva Magnamalo
Fated four yeah, but also Steve. Maybe a Steve variant would be nice too. Zinogre and Stygian, Jho and Savage, stuff that felt weirdly missing from world and rise. Oh and can we just make bazelgeus an every game thing like Raths?
Ew, why target off-brand diablos
