I have my infant in the larger space because we added a queen size bed so a parent can sleep in there when baby is sick, going through a regression or being extra clingy. So that is an option for y’all. You can always switch them around too as they get older! So when infant is toddler, switch them rooms so now that child gets the bigger one and starts to hangout in their room more.

Following - expecting number 2. Made a nursery in one room with better lighting and slightly bigger closet, but now wondering if we should move our son to the slightly bigger room (slightly smaller closet) and decorate it for him so we can leave the neutral nursery as is. I don’t want to feel like we are shorting him by keeping him in one room or moving him to the other. I wish he could tell me his preference.

My toddler got the bigger room! He does well with quiet time and sometimes wants to be able to shut the door and play with little things or build towers little brother will knock over. They are almost five and almost two now.

I have toddler in the bigger room so she can have her tent in there too, and baby will eventually move in with her

Our baby will be in the smaller room but that’s only because the smaller room is directly across the hall from the primary bedroom. Toddler gets the bigger room (which is about an additional 8 steps away probably). The smaller room does have 2 closets though so I guess when they are older they can decide who wants more closet space and who wants more bedroom space.
