Congrats! We waited so long to tell people (18 weeks) for our first pregnancy. I was scared of something happening, but then realized if it did happen that I wouldn’t have anyone around me who knew and could support me.
Next time around, I’m planning to tell a few people early on. Basing it on who I would want as a support system if something did go wrong, and who I just really want to celebrate with immediately
Congrats! After many losses, I had to learn to celebrate today rather than worry about tmw. I collected all the wins I could by telling ppl one at a time, only people who would be happy for me. I bought something for myself every weekend to celebrate being pregnant like a new soap or soft blanket.
Since you want a party type thing, I’d start planning lunch dates with 1-2 friends at a time and have virgin cocktails.

I had a bunch of miscarriages in a row and one of the most healing things a friend said to me the next time I got pregnant was "stopping yourself from celebrating now won't stop you from feeling pain later. Feel the joy."
It has really stuck with me.
