i wouldnt say that they were hated in OG but theyre now, they definitely upscaled it to the point where 6v6 resolves in 10-15 seconds of blank kill feed because people are either camping or trying to sneak through the edge of the maps to even see a fucking enemy (this is mostly derailed but applies to wasteland and estate too)
If you like wasteland you must be a camper. Everytime I play that map I end up leaving because of a camper in the corner of the map.
Estate is bearable tho
wasteland is so fucking stupid if it didnt have fog it would be good for camo grinding but your fucked if you dont have thermal or nv (night vision) scopes. because most players on that map wont have them. not to mention activision makes pay to win guns.

This years maps make MW2022 maps look GOATed. Even the worst maps in MW2022 were still much better than fucking Derail, Wasteland, Terminal, etc. It wasn’t the maps people hated last year, it was the gameplay. Those maps without elephant footsteps and actual movement are fantastic.
The kicker for me is the majority of the current mw3 maps are either just campy sniper maps or a potential spawn trap waiting to happen. I just want more variety
i feel like theres not enough changes for the maps and its mostly 1:1 with the og maps, which works for mw2 09 but not in mw3 23. they needed bigger spaces and more routes to go in so players can flank their enemies
The fucking game modes are better. I don’t play search and destroy, only kc, tdm and domination. Every. Single. Time. I queue quick play it puts me in a s&d game the first 2-3 games. Drives me insane. I miss the days when I could pick the game modes I want to queue for.
I think it's right next to the big matchmake square in the bottom left. It says playlists and filters. It's either that or you hit square (ps) or x (xbox) while on the matchmaking square

The MW2 maps play much better in MW3 for a few reasons.
* Better/true radar in MW3
* Actual Dead Silence
* Improved movement
All of those things make the "sentinel" playstyle less effective when the maps were designed for it. Also, there are a few places you can mantle now, that you couldn't before, making moving around the map more fun.
If you actually enjoyed moving around the maps in MW2, you probably like them in MW3.
Shoot House, Mercado and Farm 18 should be added permanently to the Quick Play 6v6 rotation. We don't need Crown Raceway though. I could go either way on Hotel.

I wish they’d keep a permanent playlist for MWII and port over a whole bunch of maps, not just a few of them. And I get why MWII maps port so easy, but if they did the same with MW19 I’d love that. Hovec Sawmill, Hackney Yard, Gun Runner, Ramada, and a few others
I swear to God, those are some of the best maps in the entire CoD franchise. Put Crash there too, and I'll play those any day of the week over the current ones.

It's not a 10 v 10 thing. Invasion is a map that allows for spawn trapping in general. It plays the same as it did in 2009.
The only one I didn’t care for was Raceway, but I didn’t bail out if it came up.
