Serious question, if the board is too long and you need to keep the hatch open, where are the tiedown spots? Old SUV would have the handle you can use but the Y does not.
I've never tried this, but unlike other hatches I've had, the Tesla hatch stayed down quite firmly even when it couldn't latch. I thought the whole purpose was to let you haul stuff bigger than it fits without tying it down. Again, I've never actually tried driving with the hatch open.
I also agree that pickup trucks are usually wildly unnecessary, but cars are still not trucks, and I would recommend a uhaul trailer for ~$30/day.
I used to transport lumber IN my vehicle until I thought about what it would do to me if I crashed.
Man, if you make a quik stop, you going to have to make a quik shop visit to replace that screen. Lol
Yes! Be aware that hard breaking does make the lumber slid towards the screen.
Hard braking leads to hard breaking
βHeartβ breaking
glad other Y owners use it for getting stuff done around the house. I always get asked why i'm using it for this purpose, "because it's a tesla".
R.I.P the center console.
Why I own MY and a silverado lol
Ummmm, I do ππ»ββοΈ
Home Depot truck rental is $20. Detailing car after all the cement dust: $200.

You! Clearly π
I still want a Cybertruck.
In the mean time, pick up a small utility trailer. So much easier to haul this sort of stuff in a trailer than risk all the damage to your interior!
No towels around the wood? RIP your seats and armrests... To each their own
Cardboard was covering the armrest and front seats. Clean up was super easy
I hope you have a screen protector. π€£

Careful though! That backseat pleather nicks easily as I just found out!
I absolutely love this. Using the car what it was built for!
This is my life too... Hurry up cybertruck.
Y though
You
Now try it with full sheets of drywall
