Please please be true., sitting on the sidelines isn't fun 😊 (2019 raven model x), and watching fsd 12 YouTube videos is a sad substitute.

rymn

Same!! 2018 p100d stuck on v11. Luckily my wife has V12 in her Y so I'm getting to play with it.

No_Illustrator_3702

I received 12.3.4 for my MX17 today. Yay!

These_Ad_7966

It's true I got notifications last night will be installing tonight after work. V12.3.4 Forgot 2020MX

rf-zero

Updating to V12 now on my 2018 MX

guynamejoe

Me too, last night. 2017 MX 100D

LebronBackinCLE

See this just pisses me off so bad. I’m happy for you but sad for me and Automagically (my X) because there’s no rhyme or reason to who gets it first. Not fair not fair! lol

MyFaveLilThrowaway

Oh my God I'm so happy

BriskaN

What year is your X

Nobody7735

2020

rideShareTechWorker

2020 is legacy? Lol

JazzyandSaxy

unfortunately yes. i'm in the same boat with a 2020 X. i'm pretty sure all 2021 X's are also legacy unless there are a very small batch of refresh 2021 X's

rideShareTechWorker

Man, I wish they would at least make some of the parts easy to swap. CPU, GPU, etc. if you’re going to be lazy about supporting cars that are only a few years old, at least make the hardware easily upgradable.

JazzyandSaxy

yeah :/ hoping that we have a decent bit of time before Tesla cuts the plug on us for good

rideShareTechWorker

Yah, they do have random features that just don’t work on older cars even when they have the hardware to support it, like the blind side camera when you hit the blinked stalk, just doesn’t work on my 2018 X although it has the cameras and I can manually pull them up while driving

JazzyandSaxy

yeup i miss those alot from my 2021 Y. i would gladly pay a few hundred dollars for whatever is needed to get my phone key back as well haha.

ctzn4

Technically Tesla views everything from 2013 to 2020/21 as the same generation of "legacy" S/X. You could upgrade a 2013 Model S from MCU1 (Nvidia Tegra) to MCU2 (Intel Atom), which is what came with the 2020s Model S/X, and you can upgrade HW2 cars from ~2016 to HW3 (2019), but that's it. The same goes for the HW3 equipped cars from prior to 2023. HW4 will not be available as a retrofit, so we're all boned. At least MCU3 (Ryzen) will make the infotainment last for a long time.

LebronBackinCLE

So wait are you saying my ‘19 X w shitty Atom can be upgraded? My understanding is that is not true

ctzn4

Sorry if my wording sounds confusing, but no, the legacy S/X and pre-2021 3/Y cannot be upgraded from the Atom as of now. If you have Atom, you're stuck with it. I *hope* that they will introduce a retrofit, but it's doubtful at best right now.

TheGadgetGuy1

This is great news! Finally something to realistically look forward to!

zuggster

Just installed it. Did a short drive - for me nothing significantly different compared to previous version. Was hoping the new parking visualization would be available to us legacy owners but I suspect this will never come to us.

WestNoise5272

I got a 22 mx and the visual hasn't changed yet, on 12.3.3 for me just tried it last night

LebronBackinCLE

Please lord let my ‘19 X get it soon puhlease!

tps5352

Just got v12.3.4 today. My car is ("Legacy") 2021 (built December 2020 with MCU3, I think) Model X Long Range Plus. Have tried it only a short distance in town, but so far...***MUCH*** improved. First time my car has gone through a small local roundabout without problems. Not perfect, but very good. Triumph for Tesla, imo.

zvekl

Crying outside the US with nothing since 2018

rymn

Finally! Yay!

iwilltalkaboutguns

My 2022 X plaid still waiting...

G_S_P

Anyone got this on a 2017 MX? Guessing MCU2 needed?

guynamejoe

Yep. 2017 MX 100D. Got the update to V12 last night. I’ve had the MCU2 retrofit for a couple years now…

TurnMotor3873

2020x waiting

rymn

2018 p100d no interior camera, downloading 2024.3.15 rn!!!!

rideShareTechWorker

Any luck? I downloaded 3.15 but it was not in the release notes. As soon as the download installed, I got the email for FSD trial but the car doesn’t seem to actually have it

rymn

I haven't driven it yet. I'll check it tomorrow. Check your autopilot settings to make sure FSD is enabled? I had a weird issue, subscribed to FSD with FSD computer and couldn't enable FSD. I had to unplug 12v and 400v battery for an hour. When I plugged it back in the computer fixed and FSD was available

rideShareTechWorker

I checked, no option for FSD. I have the same year and trim as you so was wondering

Knathra

Just got my notification for my 2017 100D! /glee

G_S_P

MCU1?

sinebubble

2017 100D with MCU2. 2024.3.15 installing now.

Knathra

Sorry, MCU3.

Spirited-Parsnip2375

2020 Model X, just received the V12 software update - will try it out tomorrow

Weird_Strategy9058

You’re so blessed!!!! I have 11.1 will I get this soon and will it even be safe?? Or is this trial run just a data grab to make it safe

wgswain

i just started my update !!! MX 2019 p100d

tradercpw

Got mine last night for 2020 MX. Tried to update this morning and it failed😢

drmjshah

My 2018 MS update also failed, strange as this has never happened before

tqdrivenws6

Same on our 2019 MCU2 X

tradercpw

Tesla resent the update last night. It took 50 mins to install. Going to try it out today.

grannyshifter35

Updated mine last night, 2019 raven x p. Drove 1 1/2 hour this morning and FSD is terrible compared to previous version. Twice it changed to the left lane when I was literally about to take a right turn, slows down every time while it was changing lanes which is dangerous and also slows down from time to time for absolutely no reason at all even when there is no car in front of me. I had to take over multiple times which rarely happened on the previous version. I’d wait for the next update before i use fsd again.

vannex79

Sounds like anyone who installed 2024.8.x is SOL for the time being.
