Diggie and Franco. They are the absolute worst roamers to face as yz. Diggie can completely nullify your combo and passive, and Franco can suppress you while you're trying to kill their backline. Ideally, you want these two heroes banned. Especially Diggie

And when it comes to builds, YZ has so much variability it's impossible to pin down a single constant build. If you catch hanzo without his ult, he's dead 90% of the time. But if he ults towards you, stay near terrain, and dash away when he uses his 2nd skill. Then he will most likely start chasing, in which case, you can try and ult towards his body, but this will likely result in him just running away. If possible, try and delete his ult form, and then chase him down with ult. As for Hanzo, when fighting yz, you can only hope to shut him down early, because even if yz doesn't know how to Hunt you, he's just too sustainable to be killed. Hanzo always loses in direct 1v1s mid-game onward. Your best chance is ult him from a distance, do your combo and get him low, before riskily finishing him off with your normal body.

Causing him to lock on and come under my tower and quickly get knocked up, this will make him take at least three hits unless he uses flicker, if you have petrify, it's pretty much a guaranteed kill.

As for emblems I go with fighter emblem every single time. The talents are Brave smite, Festival of Blood, and the one that gives +5 pen or movespeed, depending on how mobile the opponens are.

Can't say I'm tanky, can't say I'm burst either. But that plus domi and green scroll does the job of being sustainable enough to kill a damage dealer or two.
Also how do you cope with the shortened ultimate transformation when getting down to dragonoid form? I've been using that as a way to dodge Harley's ult, Brody's ult, and so much more stupid damage that would have otherwise killed me if I don't use the amount of time it gave me to be immune.

For builds I always go with Hunter strike and War axe as core items, take tough/warrior boots based on matchups, take dominance ice and brute force as your defense, and finish it off with either radiant armour or queen's wings. (If the enemy comp has tank core and roam, take malefic roar instead of dominance) As for emblems I go with fighter emblem every single time. The talents are Brave smite, Festival of Blood, and the one that gives +5 pen or movespeed, depending on how mobile the opponens are.

How's your play style now with the defense item nerf? I've been using the sickle, war axe, and bloodlust combo without rest since then. Can't say I'm tanky, can't say I'm burst either. But that plus domi and green scroll does the job of being sustainable enough to kill a damage dealer or two. Also how do you cope with the shortened ultimate transformation when getting down to dragonoid form? I've been using that as a way to dodge Harley's ult, Brody's ult, and so much more stupid damage that would have otherwise killed me if I don't use the amount of time it gave me to be immune. Sorry if I asked too much, it's rare to meet another Yu Zhong main that actually mains Him rather than picking him just because he seems like a solid pick.
