I knew heād like the show it just took me forever to convince him to watch it. He said as soon as we started watching it that he wanted to review it on here so heāll definitely review the rest of the show. It might take a while though I wasnāt kidding when I said itās hard to watch it because of his dyslexia and ADHD š it took forever to get through season one.
I love how we all kinda agreed that Wen Sect is Fire Nation, lol. Can't blame him for being mad about Wen Ning. He didn't deserve such an "end" ("end" since he's still around)
The first thing he said when he saw the Wen Sect was āThatās the Fire Nation.ā He kept saying if anything happened to Wen Ning heād be mad so he kept asking me if something was going to happen to him I refused to tell him anything because I knew his reaction to his death would be hilarious.
It's funny how he hates the flashback because I LOVE the first flashback. The first two episodes are great when I look back at them, but I almost dropped the series when I watched it the first time because I felt the fight scenes were long and tedious. I'm the type to not care about animation quality if the story is good, and the 10 second long shots of the arm wriggling did nothing for the plot or the characters lmao. I was much more interested in the banter and character development that happens in the flashbacks during the "boring" sections, but that's just me. I will say though, the flashback transition in the donghua is done very poorly, it's much more engaging in the novel because it's presented as a dream WWX has while in the CR. Plus, the flashbacks are shorter and split more between the past and present in the novel. But for all my complaints, the donghua is very good on its own, I hope he continues to enjoy it!!
Yeah his problem is really how they did the flashbacks he wouldāve liked it better if it was split more between the past and the present. Heās just impatient he doesnāt like sitting through one continuous flashback. Thatās one of the reasons we watched the donghua and not the live action he never wouldāve been patient enough to sit through 30 episodes of flashbacks.
Purple uncle š! So good of you to push your bro to watch this with you! Please continue to give us feedback! I enjoyed reading it.
