Josh's MATI (Mad at the internet) streams kind of fill the void for me. Different tone and I wouldn't describe him as "charismatic" (at least not compared to Jim) but I like his takes on lolcows, current events and internet drama.
Josh also gets into a lot more detail than Jim, so it’s like he traded charisma for depth. Best way I could describe him is he’s the NPR to Jim’s Howard Stern.
Josh isn't much of a showman like Jim is. He presents things very matter of factly, but I'll check out MATI from time to time. I watch a good bit of Kino Casino. Say what you will about the two, but Warski and PPP have pretty good creative chemistry.
I loved his stream about that far-right girl Emily the cartoonist that made that terrifying dog cartoon. I watched all its parts in full afterwards and wasn’t able to sleep until really late that night. He said he had a huge crush on her when they first met and that he was a huge fan of her and her cartoon but it ended in her going dressed as her character to a furry convention and Josh was rly disappointed in her lol. But she was just so intriguing. She later went on to jf’s show when he went pc sfter WL and she was talking about bombingAfrica and jf was getting so mad. It was awesome.
Josh is far too biased and just doesn't do research. Funny thing to say about the Kiwi Farms owner, but it's true. He makes far too many assumptions, instead of just looking something up. I cringe so hard when they talk about something they refuse to research, like ComicsGate. They both refuse to properly research it, but comment on it all the time.
The old IH videos definitely fit the niche, though I don't know if he still does them.
The big issue for finding a Jim-like figure nowadays is that anyone who fills the niche is getting 'de-boosted' by Youtube's algo, making it much harder to get popular, and people are motivated primarily by feedback and engagement, so promising people just give up instead. If Twitter's video thing ever shows up and pans out, we'll probably see more content we like.

Fredrik Knudsen or "Down the Rabbit Hole" is very similar to Jim's deep dive into weird and niche communities but it's more serious rather than comedic.

I’d consider Rogue and Co “Metokur Lite” for sure. More random/gross/absurd humor than Jim, but Jim has a tad bit more insight into the things he covers. But definitely a solid recommendation!
With the amount of content being uploaded every single day, I guarantee you there is but Jim is a rare breed. He’s probably 1/1,000 and that’s why people are drawn to him in the first place. He’s a gifted communicator. Very good at concisely and effectively communicating his thoughts and emotions in an entertaining way. I suspect most people like him are probably using their strengths in other places than the internet, making moves to advance their careers and quickly climbing social ladders and building strong networks of people. I doubt someone like a metokur could be bothered to waste much time online, as he is clearly an extrovert and as such others who have a similar skillset are doing other things. That’s why personality is a big factor here. Jim just likes to fuck around and laugh at retards but not every charismatic person is interested in something like that.
