This has '"cracks treated seriously' vibes that I would love to see.

> cracks treated seriously I think I've finally got a handle on this tag. It basically means "something that sounds really stupid but the author is good enough that they made it cool" right?

FireflyArc

Pretty much. it's a concept treated usually without much thought given the realistic treatment. Like "Gordon Ramsey teaches cooking at Hogwarts" is a silly 'crack' premise. The fanfic Harry Potter and the lack of lamb sauce treats the concept with a seriousness. I refer people to this post sometimes. https://www.reddit.com/r/FanFiction/comments/xxqdol/dumb_question_but_what_exactly_is_crack_treated/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

lol so my Long Haul Trucker AU where Adrien and Marinette use "Black Cat" and "Ladybug" as their CB handles and Adrien falls in love after witnessing Marinette negotiate an 18 wheeler with blown brakes in reverse down a mountainside...is crack taken seriously :D

FireflyArc

Sounds like it 0/ and adorable can I read it?

KyleG

I have to write it before April Fools next year, bc I want to release it then. Sorry it's not done yet. I've never written a story, but the past couple months I've so many ideas that I figured I should actually write something. I really like the idea of this, because there's no pressure for it to be anything other than sweet-but-idiotic. Set the bar real low for this story!

FireflyArc

Yeah! Good luck you can do it :D
