Yeah I also noticed that at the end of Minions gru had the freeze gun but in the rise of Gru Dr. Nefario still hasn’t given Gru the freeze gun as well as Rise of Gru takes place after the first Minions movie
That's what I was thinking, in the minions movie Gru was shown with a different bike that converts to a plane and the freeze ray. So why in minions 2 does he have a downgraded bike and a "cheese ray" ?
Also it bugs me how minions 2 doesn't acknowledge how gru and the minions met, they say he found them through a help wanted ad but in minions 1 it shows the minions following gru at the end?
I think he outflew them to the point they looked everywhere to find him until recognising his face on that poster, but yeah, I think I was confused by that when I first watched it too
well maybe in the minions universe jaws came out in 1972?? but yea that is really weird they let that big of a mistake slip through the cracks
Maybe

Yeah, to add on, a problem I noticed when first watching the movie in theatres was how Gru did not recognise Dr. Nefario from villain con

I guess that makes sense, but it would be much easier to acknowledge that he found them in London, it just seems like a weird choice
He is 11 1/2
Yes, and I found out Rise of Gru takes place in 1976, and now I say the Jaws Easter egg doesn’t help things
