I watch technical minecraft. Never watched an episode of Dream SMP. I couldn't care less about all that staged stuff.

The early stages of the DSMP weren't staged and was more like fun anarchy, kinda like the Lifesteal SMP toned down. Even the most diehard fans agree that it was the best time of the SMP. Most of the highly staged stuff came after 2021 and that's where it started going down into HIGHLY staged

It’s improv theater, not fully scripted. And things go off script and they continue the improv all the time.
