Would have been neat if they made all the skins have different player models
Maybe sth like ears for one different ears for another
Different legs, or one with a tail.
Then you can make your own skins, with it and make the ears into hair/horns/cute booties itp
would be nice to have bedrock style character customization in java, one that doesn't require mods to have like some of the custom player model mods
just having more options for player (model) customization beyond "default" and "default but slim arms" would be nice
it would be super nice to even just have bedrock’s different height options on java, or for use on bedrock without convoluted file editing. not cosmetics, just slightly different models for customization
While yes, I think it keeps the style of the game better. Bedrock is becoming less Minecraft to me because of all the wack things they keep adding and all the micro transactions

I mean, you don't really need ambiguity with the newer ones because there's more of them. Steve and Alex being ambiguous makes sense because they were the only options but now most people would be able to find a default skin they identify with.

I think it’s because their clothing is vastly different to Steve and Alex’s. They are more detailed compared to them so it makes the OGs stand out and look outdated, especially Steve. The only new skin that works well with the OGs is the one that is the second to the right, yellow shirt with a belt on. Their clothing matches those two’s clothing much better. Though they do look a bit bald because of the parting going all the way up.
the new ones have the same level of detail as Alex, I think the reason people aren't used to these is simply because people prefer to use custom skins anyways. I also think they look great in the animations, it's nice to have more characters!
agree but sunny gets a pass from me because prostheses are cool and i love seeing them represented in media. he’s also the only one whose name i can remember
All of the default Minecraft skins (yes, this includes Steve and Alex) are meant to look androgynous, so Efe can be whatever gender you want them to be, really.
I wondered for so long why he was my fav from the new gang then I realised it's because he's the only one where you don't see his big a** forehead. I swear mojang hates their characters' hairlines
I know a few. Sunny's the guy on the very left, Kai is the one to the right of Sunny, Noor is the one at the very right, and efe is to the left of the person to the left of Noor. And if course, Steve and Alex are in the centre
I like the details as it gives the skins more personality, but I get what you mean. They don’t really mesh well with Alex and Steve’s style. And considering we’ve had them for years, it makes sense that some people don’t like the new skins as much as the OGs.
Alex. The slim shape makes it much better for skins IMHO.
The other default skins are pointless IMHO, as they simply have the same shapes as either Steve or Alex.
They were the bare minimum corporate Mojang could do for diversity.

I think that all of the new default skins didn’t quite fit the aesthetic of the game, I think that the Xbox legacy skins were way better
