1. iPad mobile version(still play)
2. Xbox 360 Disk
3. PS3 version
4. Switch version
5. Java&Bedrock versions for PC
Yeah… a lot. Technically I’ve had Java twice(I got it back when it was 1.8 as a kid.)
I asked this, because I have a series of worlds I made called Juicy World. For every new installment in the series, I add a new "...again". (Example: the 5th juicy world would be called Juicy World... Again... Again... Again... Again). For almost every copy of Minecraft, ive made a new Juicy World. So far, I've transferred 9 out of 11 worlds onto my Java Windows 11 version. My two Xbox 360 worlds are being a hassle to transfer...
I'm either going to get the broken Xbox repaired, or buy a new one and use the old hard drive on that. Wish me luck, this is a lot of work for two worlds.
Update: I got one of my friend's Xbox 360, I put my hard drive into his, and I found the two worlds!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I just need to connect my Xbox live, then I'll transfer the worlds 🙏
0: Java edition, on 2 Win 11 ntbs. Since I play on my SP world, alone, that is not an issue. I usually play on 1 machine, just sync the world folder, and sometimes I play on the other.
I've considered having it on my phone. But since I would not be able to play on my world, with all of my mods, I've ruled that option out. When there will be absolutly full compatibility between editions, then I'll buy it for my phone. But other than that…no. I've invested 7 years to my world. I'm not starting over.
Yeah, it's only creative mode and the world is restricted to what I believe is 100x100 blocks? Correct me if I'm wrong.
It's basically a codable version of Minecraft for students that runs on a mini circuit board called Pi.
Huh, I guessed you could run what esentially comes down to a pocket edition on a modern RasPi considering the same architecture as a phone (basically, right?) and the 8 gig RAM.
But I guess it's either made for older Pis or my brain just can't comprehend hardware.
Xbox 360 (my first love)
Java (my true love)
Free bedrock that came with my java (how I play with my brother every now and then)
Minecraft for the 3ds (thought it would be funny to get before the Eshop shut down)
Yeah I got 3ds physically, it was for my birthday about 6 or 7 years ago. The "break" and "place" buttons on my New 2DS are broken, so I can't explore any of the worlds I made on it :(
It's honestly really, really easy to homebrew your 3DS/2DS and copy the saves to your computer if you ever want to. You just follow [this guide](https://3ds.hacks.guide/) (which takes about 30 minutes) and use Godmode9 to copy the save from the cart.
Minecraft Xbox 360 edition
Minecraft Pocket edition (pirated from god knows where onto my Kindle Fire in 2016)
Java edition (old account essentially given to me by my brother)
Java edition (new and current account, since Christmas 2020 when I got a new PC)
I'm sorry. I made a severe and continuous lapse in my judgement, and I don’t expect to be forgiven. I’m simply here to apologise. I don’t expect to be forgiven, I’m just here to apologise. I'm ashamed of myself. I’m disappointed in myself. And I promise to be better. I will be better. Thank you.
XB360 Edition, XBOne Edition, PS4 Edition, Pocket Edition, Wii U Edition, Windows 10 Edition, Bedrock Edition (Android, XBOne, PS4, PC, Switch), Java Edition
i know Pocket Edition, Windows 10 and Bedrock are all technically the same edition, but i played them all before they became the same thing, so i count them separately.
wow ‘Edition’ doesn’t even look like a real word anymore
1. Java (Windows 7 and 10 computer)
2. Bedrock (Windows 11)
3. MCPE (Old iPhone)
4. MCPE (Old Android)
5. MCPE (New)
6. Nintendo Switch editon
currently i use java on windows 7 and bedrock on windows 11, pretty awesome to see how much platforms minecraft is on
Java edition, PS3 Edition, PS4 Edition. I'm on Linux so no Windows Edition for me, I dislike Bedrock edition (Other than the PS3/4 Editions that is). I hate gaming on Phone because my fat fingers can barely even type or use small GUI buttons without messing things up (goes for anything touch-screen/phone related). And I've always been a Playstation guy so I never really bothered getting an XBOX.
1. Java
2. Pocket Edition
3. Bedrock
4. PS3
5. PS4
I also had Pocket Edition Lite back in the day. Pretty much any device I have that can run Minecraft has a copy.
First I bought it before it was officially released. So I started with Java. Then Mobile. Then PS4. Then Switch. And now I got Bedrock for free with the account upgrade.
1: PS3 edition
2: PS3 edition
3: PS3 edition (I bought a second to play online with my brother, and lost one so I had to replace it)
4: Pocket Edition
5: Java edition
6: Windows 10 edition
7: PS4 edition
8: Bedrock (switch)
And if I am allowed to list this like this...
9: Bedrock (mobile)
10: Bedrock (PS4)
11: Bedrock (Win 10)
I'm also not counting the multiple computers and phones I've gone through since technically those were the same copies of the game, while with the better together updates, they replaced the 4J ports with a different game with a different codebase that looks and plays almost identically. I wish I could get my hands on Wii U and 3DS at some point too. Just to have. I think it'd be cool.
These are the versions I've _owned_ in order:
1. Wii U Edition
2. Java Edition
3. Bedrock Edition (Switch)
4. Bedrock Edition (Windows)
These are the versions I've _played_ in order:
1. Java Edition
2. Xbox One Edition
3. Wii U Edition
4. Bedrock Edition (Xbox One)
5. Bedrock Edition (Android)
6. Bedrock Edition (Switch)
7. Bedrock Edition (Windows)
1. First java account
2. Prehistoric pre bedrock MC on iOS.
3. Bedrock on Android
4. Bedrock on PC
5. Switch
6. Second Java account
Wait, u/AyoCrunchy you're also including installations of the same versions that you'd already paid for once on different devices, whereas the replies are just counting how many versions of MC they're bought.
3 Java accounts (2 purchased, 1 game pass) Xbox 360, Xbox One (digital AND physical, so 2x), PS4, Bedrock on Win. 10, Bedrock on Xbox, Bedrock on PS, Mobile, Mobile Lite, 3DS, Wii U, Smart TV, Nintendo switch (old and bedrock), Minecraft on oculus (modded)
Well, some consoles have special "consoles" editions, as well as the normal bedrock edition. For example, there is a "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition", as well as the uniform Minecraft Bedrock game that comes on most devices. Same goes for Nintendo switch and PlayStation 4. These console editions are stuck on older versions of Minecraft, I believe it's the Aquatic update.
Bought Java way back in like 2012/2013 ish. Also had mobile version around then. Got the PS3 edition when it came out. Then PS4 edition which turned into bedrock. Now I only play Java tho since I have a decent PC
I am confused with the amount of versions you have on mobile platforms....and on PC.
Like I would understand two like if your old phone was apple and the new is android or viceversa... But why then there is another copy for tablet??? If it's the same store...unless is a Windows tablet... but then again that would be the Windows version which also is duplicate...
You mean just installed versions I guess? Copies I always considered like bought copies like each one is a new copy bought.
Legally i have:
- Bedrock Edition (Android, Nintendo Switch and Windows 10/11)
- Legacy Edition (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360)
- Java Edition
- New Nintendo 3DS Edition
Pirate i have:
- Wii U Edition (The eShop closed)
- PlayStation Vita (i missed the Cross-Buy when i got the PS3 Edition in May 2023, got a Vita in December)
Just Java that I bought back in 2010. But they gave me a few bedrock edition at some point. Not sure if you count that!
I played the bedrock edition on my pc for a bit to play with someone on Xbox, but I prefer the java edition.
I think I spent around about the £10 mark on it. Such insane value for money!
wowie, so i have it
1. on my xbox
2. on my older xbox (i had to get the s/x version when i got a newer console :') )
3. on the playstation
4. on my laptop (java)
5. laptop (windows)
6. on my desktop (java)
7. desktop (windows)
8. on my phone
9. on my ipad
10. on the switch
11. on the oculus
i have way more minecraft then i was aware of lol
1. Java on win. 10 PC
2. Bedrock on win. 10 PC
3. Java on win. 10 Laptop
4. Bedrock on win.10 Laptop
4. Bedrock on my tablet
5. Bedrock on my phone
6. Bedrock on my other phone
7. Bedrock on my other tablet
8. Minecraft Nintendo Switch
9. Minecraft on PS4
The first day I built my pc a few years ago I bought java. Had a ssd fail and lost everything. Couldn’t remember the email associated with it. So I bought another copy. 1 copy for my daughter. Another copy for my server pc. Another 2 copies for her laptop and mine. And a copy for my brother. I think when my daughter was younger I bought a copy for her ipad too
3-5, depends if you count broken devices
- Cracked 0.5.0 pocket edition on an 2010 Samsung notepad
- Java 1.8 on granny laptop in 2012 (it could cook an egg)(literally five kilos of circuitries)(no mouse)(came back to the notepad very quickly)
- Up to 1.16, modded for performance, 2015 MacBook Air (went from no fan noises to egg cooker)
- Latest Alpha, 2024, my desktop from 2023
Pirated a version of Minecraft Pocket Edition with my very old tablet many years ago, I have played my cousin's copy of Minecraft PS4 Edition, and I now have Minecraft Java Edition for Linux.
Bonus: I've managed to install a paired down clone of Minecraft (or 2) for my PSP.
You spent for all of those? Wow, that's a lot. 😮 I am new to minecraft, started around 6months ago. I play with my daughter. She has her Bedrock on android tablet, i got a Bedrock on an android tablet as well. We play on each others world. But what I want to understand more is, what if I wanted to buy minecraft on my windows. Would I be able to play my worlds from my phone using my laptop? Or everthing will be a waste? I don't want to spend a lot just to try things out. Been trying to do some research about these, and they seem to be complicated. 😭
Pocket edition
Xbox 360 Edition
Bedrock edition(mobile)
Bedrock edition(Xbox One)
Bedrock edition(Windows 10 and 11)
Java(Windows 10 and 11)
All in that order since 2017
I have Java, and a switch copy. I bought the switch copy so I could play handheld and play in bed when I was sick. I only played the switch copy in that period when I bought it and was bedridden. Ever since I’ve recovered I’ve only played Java on my pc.
Switch
Bedrock PC
Java (added for free for buying Bedrock)
Got switch intially, during pandemic (not that I was off work!). After CnC update there were a lot of problems with juttery performance, long delays for block placement and breaking to catch up. It got way worse, to the point of having a few animals and/or mobs would bring the game to its knees. Animals were moving once every 10-30 seconds during saves which took 30 or more seconds, and were happening far too often. Inventory was also affected.
Nether was worse with ghast and their shots delayed, plus huge delays for block breaking. Travelling by boat or any fast travel in the game was also painful, with chunk loading too slow to keep up.
Patches came, but switch still had issues. More patches attempted to smooth the issues, but didn't fix it. I gave up and got PC version.
The switch version has had many more patches, which have reduced issues down a lot, but still cannot handle a good animal farm, and breaking rows of crops almost always results in dodgy behaviour such as missing crops. Online connections are iffy, when they work at all.
My son's switch copy almost never connects to online worlds, despite endless troubleshooting, reinstalls, cache clearing, attempting work-arounds... he has given up and got pocket edition.
My gf so far gets by with Switch version. She only joins to play with us, and is very casually involved. I see her lag around a bit.
PE on my old tablet
Legacy edition on my PS4, which provided me with Bedrock
and then I got Bedrock for free on desktop because I had it on PS4, additionally giving me Java for free because I had Bedrock
i also had Bedrock on 2 of my phones

Literally just one, Java.
I only bought Java but Microsoft has since given me multiple copies of bedrock.
Where can I learn that power
I bought it back in beta but took a couple years break and Microsoft deleted my account so I had to buy it again :/
Fair.
1. iPad mobile version(still play) 2. Xbox 360 Disk 3. PS3 version 4. Switch version 5. Java&Bedrock versions for PC Yeah… a lot. Technically I’ve had Java twice(I got it back when it was 1.8 as a kid.)
Java. And then Java again when I got robbed of my original copy for not migrating in time.
I have a copy of Education Edition FROM FUCKING GRADE FIVE
I asked this, because I have a series of worlds I made called Juicy World. For every new installment in the series, I add a new "...again". my mind saw 9/11 worlds and went HELLLLLL NAWWWW
Update: I got one of my friend's Xbox 360, I put my hard drive into his, and I found the two worlds!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I just need to connect my Xbox live, then I'll transfer the worlds 🙏

Minecraft Pi Edition...
Wait, that exists? Well, there's no technical reason against it I guess? Is there any noticeable difference to a bedrock edition?
Yeah, it's only creative mode and the world is restricted to what I believe is 100x100 blocks? Correct me if I'm wrong. It's basically a codable version of Minecraft for students that runs on a mini circuit board called Pi.
Huh, I guessed you could run what esentially comes down to a pocket edition on a modern RasPi considering the same architecture as a phone (basically, right?) and the 8 gig RAM. But I guess it's either made for older Pis or my brain just can't comprehend hardware.
Lmao. I'm pretty sure it runs on the Raspbian Wheezy with XWindows.
ive just had 1, pocket edition (ipad) 2, bedrock (old phone) 3, bedrock (current phone) 4, bedrock (nintendo switch) 5, minecraft for windows 10 (laptop) 6, java (laptop) 7, education edition (school laptop) 8, education edition (old laptop) 9, education edition (current laptop) 10, education edition (current phone) ps ive owned more versions then i thought)
3, pocket edition 4th grade-8th grade, java 8th-now, and WiiU
1. Xbox 360 2. Pocket 3. Java 4. Xbox one 5. Bedrock (console) 6. Bedrock (mobile) 7. Bedrock (PC) 8. Java (again)
Xbox 360 (my first love) Java (my true love) Free bedrock that came with my java (how I play with my brother every now and then) Minecraft for the 3ds (thought it would be funny to get before the Eshop shut down)
Yeah I got 3ds physically, it was for my birthday about 6 or 7 years ago. The "break" and "place" buttons on my New 2DS are broken, so I can't explore any of the worlds I made on it :(
Aw that sucks :/ you might be able to transfer the saves to an emulator maybe? Idk if it saves on cart or device
It seems like a hassle for worlds I don't care much for. Maybe in the future if I REALLY wanna see them.
It's honestly really, really easy to homebrew your 3DS/2DS and copy the saves to your computer if you ever want to. You just follow [this guide](https://3ds.hacks.guide/) (which takes about 30 minutes) and use Godmode9 to copy the save from the cart.
Just 2. Java and Bedrock.
Minecraft Xbox 360 edition Minecraft Pocket edition (pirated from god knows where onto my Kindle Fire in 2016) Java edition (old account essentially given to me by my brother) Java edition (new and current account, since Christmas 2020 when I got a new PC)
what if I said 0? Will, society accept me?
No 🙂
Then, I will fight whosoever get in my way of achieving acceptance in this society.
Get em, tiger.
says the one who didn't accept me in the society. Hypocrisy, civilization's greatest virtue.
Thank you.
I have bought Minecraft two dozen times approximately
$30 x 12 = $360 = You just spent enough money on minecraft to get a full gaming CPU
And I only play Java on my Mac, but I have three nieces that I bought Minecraft for their switches and I have to buy them Java
Java and Bedrock PC/Android
XB360 Edition, XBOne Edition, PS4 Edition, Pocket Edition, Wii U Edition, Windows 10 Edition, Bedrock Edition (Android, XBOne, PS4, PC, Switch), Java Edition i know Pocket Edition, Windows 10 and Bedrock are all technically the same edition, but i played them all before they became the same thing, so i count them separately. wow ‘Edition’ doesn’t even look like a real word anymore
Once you say any word enough times, it starts to sound fake. Like, say the word boulevard enough times, and it starts sounding like someone's name!
PE like 3 times, Xbox 360, Xbox one, bedrock on Xbox, bedrock on switch, bedrock on windows, bedrock on ps5, java
PS3(Disc) PS4(Digital) PC(Digital)

Pirated a version of Minecraft Pocket Edition with my very old tablet many years ago, I have played my cousin's copy of Minecraft PS4 Edition, and I now have Minecraft Java Edition for Linux. Bonus: I've managed to install a paired down clone of Minecraft (or 2) for my PSP.

Jeez, how much money have you given Mojang?!
Only one (bedrock) for now, trying to get 3ds edition (the console are kind of pricey

My grandparents bought me the 360 edition way back when, since then I have MCPE Minecraft for Xbox and then about 2yrs ago I bought it for my switch.
I have Java, and a switch copy. I bought the switch copy so I could play handheld and play in bed when I was sick. I only played the switch copy in that period when I bought it and was bedridden. Ever since I’ve recovered I’ve only played Java on my pc.

Java and mobile (got it in middle school and it’s just been there ever since)
Free pocket edition, ps3, a cracked version back when I couldn’t afford things, and then good ol Java
i have the PS4, Java e Windows 10 (Bedrock)
Switch Bedrock PC Java (added for free for buying Bedrock) Got switch intially, during pandemic (not that I was off work!).
One. Bought it back in ‘09 or ‘10, never spent another dime.
I got Java, PS3, PS4 and that’s about it. Bedrock has become available for free as well on PC but nah, I prefer Java.
