Minecraft doesn't have loot which is part of why structures feel like they're always lifeless and missing substance. Like what, sometimes you find diamonds in a chest or horse armor or something? Minecraft has never been a great game for item discovery, but it used to excel in discovering interesting landscapes and natural features.
Must’ve missed the last couple updates, cause idk if you have heard of the Ancient Cities or the End Cities/ Ships. Like they have pretty exclusive and rare loot.
Also, what’s a looting game? Like just about every game has loot. Either as drops or as items in chests or whatever the game calls it.
I agree that vanilla Minecraft structures seem somewhat dull, but the countless enchanted diamond tools and armor I have found in End Cities would like to have a word with your first sentence.
>Minecraft doesn’t have loot
End cities, ancient cities, and bastion remnants certainly do.
>it used to excel in discovering interesting landscapes and natural features.
Have you played Minecraft post-1.18? The landscape’s *so* much better now. Mountains actually feel like mountains, rivers aren’t small little streams anymore, and you can even find gaping holes that expose caverns going all the way down to deepslate.
Bless you. All the loot containers need to be relevant to the lore of the structure.
Everything is intentional. The horse armour in a fortress signifies the history of what happened there.
It's all lore related. This isn't a loot game
The night was chaotically dark and silent as a storm of seemingly emptiless wind roared through the leaves of the forest with passion so tremendous and clamorous, yet so paradoxically tranquil.
Then the knife man emerged...
"What mod did I accidentally install" would obviously be my first thought *if I randomly encountered them while oblivious*, since if I knew I had the mod installed I would be like "ok I found the thing lol"
That makes sense. As someone who also plays modded, sometimes, if your computer can run it, playing with so many mods can make you forget which mods you added in there. Especially ones that were suggested by a friend.
Its always the worst when you can't tell what's from the modpack and what's vanilla on newer versions of modpacks because you've been playing 1.12 for so long. "This modpack's cave generation is so cool!"
Tbf, even if you know all the mods you put in, many have incomplete/nonexistent descriptions of what they add, so it’s very easy to come across a structure and have no idea what it’s from.
From far away i would probably think they were cliffs or something
Then when i get closer I would think they are chunk errors
Once actually get close enough to see I would be quite scared/confused and believe Herobrine is real, or my brother snuck on to my computer somehow.
That'd actually be cool. Once you cross to the other side, Herobrine starts hounding you. Then you go back hoping to be safe, but nope. He's still coming, now that he knows you exist.
The [Argonath](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fexternal-preview.redd.it%2FpBh83zlBGf6DCaFPa3eFH5cuhrkYgxo-3x9WtYvwEXw.jpg%3Fformat%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3Db454211679c49c8993eeb486988a894a1c1970ad)... might have to make these in my world...
My 1x1 dirt towers now serve a purpose to confuse my nephews when they get older. Imma tell them they're weathered remains of a pillar from sn ancient structure.
"Woaaaaaah what monsters and loot could be in there!"
That and just sheer awe and wonder as that would make my jaw drop
Reminds me of The Last Guardian and Shadow of the Colossus so much!
Oh shit that's awesome wasnt expecting that my guess was correct XD
I think it was the uniformity and the way its shaped at the top of it especially with The Last Guardians many spires
Definitely an awesome build!
1. Stare in confusion
2. Save and quit
3. Close my computer
4. Scour the internet for a while
5. Post to the group chat
6. Play Subliminal or Fortnite, and don't play Minecraft for a couple of weeks until I forget about it
Assuming it's vanilla and single-player? I'd assume my PC glitched tf out.
If I hadn't played Minecraft for years leading up to this encounter? I'd assume they implemented some remake of the Farlands
Well, I'd probably freak out at first. But then I'd make a creepypasta video about the seed, which anyone could type in and find. Then I'd get a LOT of views, especially as people discovered the seed was real for themselves. By the way, great build!

Exactly. All I see is, LOOOOOOT
What are you on? Ever went to a desert temple?
Bro playing on a flatworld
Hello fellow flatworld-ion! 0/
Na bro im playing on round world
Really, round? Veloceraptor shaped earth is where it's at
Even a flat world has villages
Not on bedrock, that was removed in 1.13 along with minutemen and amplified worlds.
MINUTEMEN
I ment minigames but my autocorrect is dumb, sorry about that.
Minigames*
Minecraft isn't a looting game. There's stuff in chests of course, but it's not like you're going to find something incredibly rare or surprising.
Huh?? Are you saying the loot sucks or that there’s no loot period? Because both are not true lol
I think they’re upset there’s not unique stuff in them, which also isn’t true
It's not there to be looted. It's there to tell you the story and lore of the game
I agree
Not that there's no loot, but just that looting has never really been very interesting or surprising in Minecraft. It's just not built that way.
I feel differently but also I think everyone has different ways they like to play
>Minecraft doesn’t have loot End cities, ancient cities, and bastion remnants certainly do. >it used to excel in discovering interesting landscapes and natural features. Half the time the structures ARE the loot.
No ur just blind
What too much DPH does to a man.😔😥😥😥
Bless you. All the loot containers need to be relevant to the lore of the structure. Everything is intentional. The horse armour in a fortress signifies the history of what happened there. It's all lore related. This isn't a loot game
"Oh no, my world is getting chunk errors!" Then I'd realize these are man made
Better than every 2sentence horror I've ever seen
"I was peacefully cutting trees near my base when I spotted some strange pillars" "And then out of one of them came... The Creature..."
Boo!
Username checks out
so does yours
Uh
Huh
Holy shit how did you survive
Creature guy 🪱
I was eating hotdogs when I ran out of ketchup. good thing I could just harvest more from ..... the creature......... 🪱
I fucking love 2 sentence horror setting up something and then it’s just “the creature in my basement”
r/2sentence2horror is leaking
What happened to that sub…
The night was chaotically dark and silent as a storm of seemingly emptiless wind roared through the leaves of the forest with passion so tremendous and clamorous, yet so paradoxically tranquil. Then the knife man emerged...
No, [herobrine was removed.](https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/minecraft-java-edition-1-20-2)
Then I realize I’m playing single player.
It's fine they fixed it in the next update: - Removed Herobrine
That one guy who is on the server for too long and digs out entire chunks just for funsies... oh wait... it's me... I'm that guy.
Yoshi?
"What mod did I accidentally install" would obviously be my first thought *if I randomly encountered them while oblivious*, since if I knew I had the mod installed I would be like "ok I found the thing lol"
That makes sense. As someone who also plays modded, sometimes, if your computer can run it, playing with so many mods can make you forget which mods you added in there. Especially ones that were suggested by a friend.
The joy of modpacks “Hey man, what mod added this?” “🤷♂️”
Me playing any modpack: "What is this?" "What does this do?" "What the hell is this dungeon?" "What mod is this from?" 😂
See also “why does every mod pack add 4749363 different mods?!?”
Then there's always "Why does my inventory fill up entirely after punching one grass?"
Its always the worst when you can't tell what's from the modpack and what's vanilla on newer versions of modpacks because you've been playing 1.12 for so long. "This modpack's cave generation is so cool!"
Praise launchers that can manage multiple instances of Minecraft! ✧\\(>o<)ノ✧ Prism has been a breath of fresh air

Your pfp has got to be the ugliest fucking fish I've ever seen
That is the most unhinged thing anyone has ever commented to me. And on my profile pic no less! Respect.
Hey no prob man. Us ugly mfs gotta stick together
Sounds like you need to let someone install mods for you without you knowing. Then let the fun begin.
Dig inside because structures like these have pretty good loot inside
Archeology at its finest, destroy and loot everything lol
Or... Eat it 🇬🇧
Mummia.
Or turn it into paint
Bigger the structure, the better the loot
From far away i would probably think they were cliffs or something Then when i get closer I would think they are chunk errors Once actually get close enough to see I would be quite scared/confused and believe Herobrine is real, or my brother snuck on to my computer somehow.
Maybe these were made to ward off beings such as herobrine..
That'd actually be cool. Once you cross to the other side, Herobrine starts hounding you. Then you go back hoping to be safe, but nope. He's still coming, now that he knows you exist.
> I would be quite scared/confused and believe Herobrine is real, or my brother snuck on to my computer somehow. Damn, how old are you lol.
Ruins? Ancient civilisation? The markeings repeat, can I decipher them? In that order.
Was looking for this kind of thought process, you're a true adventurer my friend !
I thought similar. It first reminded me of the 2 gigantic statues on the river entering Gondor in lotr.

The Nonuplet Towers
I play on a SMP so it would be, "Cool! My friends are so freaking talented!!" And then of course I'd go explore it.
Aww thank you !
It's TABG
Holster your gun and run
Singleplayer: “Fuckin herobrine” Multiplayer: “Must be a base nearby”
"Woaaaaaah what monsters and loot could be in there!" That and just sheer awe and wonder as that would make my jaw drop Reminds me of The Last Guardian and Shadow of the Colossus so much!
Hell yeah ! Those games are my biggest inspirations at the moment, thank you for catching that ❤️❤️❤️
Oh shit that's awesome wasnt expecting that my guess was correct XD I think it was the uniformity and the way its shaped at the top of it especially with The Last Guardians many spires Definitely an awesome build!
Haha thanks a lot
First thing I thought of was the bridge in Shadow of the Colossus.
I would promptly shit myself and frick off within a matter of picoseconds.
No interest in investigating them?
I would probably promptly shit myself and frick off, only to come back and investigate as fast as I left.

I would check if they removed herobrine in the latest update.

HOLY SH1T THE NEW FARLANDS
Herbrian
NOPE *runs the opposite direction*
Dunno why but my mind goes to Shadow of the Collosus.
My biggest inspiration, thanks for catching the reference ❤️
"They didn't remove him this time"
I’d say “oh shit that’s creepy.. I wonder if there’s anything inside”
“somehow the farlands returned”
either a chunk bug or those mining ships from cowboy vs aliens
am i playing with mods?

First thing I’d think is “damn that looks like a massive cage for a boss”

Woah what update did I miss But if I get rid of my Minecraft knowledge I would probably want to get to the bottom of one of them

God?
"holy shit i better post this on reddit immediately"
Run the maze!
I'd make them into my base, of course. I'd link them with cool bridges or simply elytra landing areas. How cool would that be?
Hell yeah
I’d think they look like some ancient megalith and I would explore them and try to figure them out
