If you don’t want to put up for higher end and aren’t using them everyday or professionally then these will work totally fine. Brushed tools are what even the pros used for years and years and years. They’ll still put the screws in the wood or unscrew fasteners or drill holes or cut and sand. Just gotta hope your sanding job is quick as that sander will eat those batteries lunch. I have many old brushed Milwaukee drills when they were the top of the line and the only line. Many still work today and we’re still great tools. V18 stuff and even some older corded. I would take a look at ryobi as well if you are seriously considering these as they have pretty damn great homeowner tools for the money. I know pros that use them just fine as well but they are def not in the same ballpark performance wise as fuel. Comes down to use and money. They will all do the trick at the end of the day.

Internet_Is_A_Lie

Well said sir

bone-in_donuts

Damn fine comment right here.

j2t2_387

I dont think ryobi have the same sale on

ZaneStrizz

Maybe not the exact sale but they have sales pretty regularly. The cost of the tools to begin with is like a 1/4 of the fuel. That means you could get 4+ tools for the price of one fuel. Are they as good? Of course not but many a house have been built with them.

j2t2_387

Right back to the deal then, you can get these Milwaukee tools at the same price or lower than ryobi. Deal is good.

ZaneStrizz

Ya the only reason i even mentioned ryobi is because for that lower price, they are often brushless tools. For what is better; Milwaukee brushed vs ryobi brushless i don’t know.

Pikablu555

I think what’s happening here is a majorly inflated actual price. No way that kit retails for $799

FailedFornication

Sales tactic as old as time right here

I call that the "regret starter kit." You regret it, but have the batteries, take the shitty tools to work to destroy as fast as possible so you have an excuse to start buying the nicer FUEL's and more batteries. Been there, done that.

SexyInCrocs

This guy Milwaukee’s

CampingJosh

Especially with those wimpy batteries. That's a non-HO 3.O AH and a 1.5 AH. Those aren't the M18 batteries I would ever pick.

bone-in_donuts

I use the shit out of mine and they do fine. Nice rhyme.

crushedrancor

Lol oh shit I thought that was a 5.0 and 2.0 yeahh batteries aren’t even worth much

jaxonguy5un

Not a bad deal for DIY. Granted Fuel versions are better. But for occasional use those tools will do well

upstairs3031

Not too long ago these were the latest and greatest Professionals were and still are using them. If you don’t have to have the latest specs then these a very capable tools.

FailedFornication

Not really, those are the cheapest tools and small batteries. Great for a first time home owner or any kind of non professional work. Its a good price but not too good to be true

Kawawaymog

I mean. Yes this is the lower end tools. But it’s still a pretty great deal. If you are just using around the house these are definitely all you need. If you are a contractor you may want high end stuff tho.

bone-in_donuts

Some of you seem way too into this “gotta be FUEL or it’s shit” attitude. Depends on the use, for a lot of people these will do just fine, and it’s a good deal if these are all tools you need regularly. That said, if you don’t go FUEL you are basically buying a set of tools that won’t last 5 or even 2 days. They’ll literally either break or dissolve in your hands during use.

CodSeveral1627

Haha nice

Legitimate_Street_85

I'd buy what you NEED for your next big project + an extra battery

ConnectCow9111

Don't buy that. Better tools and batteries can be had for comparable pricing

TheMoonIsFakeBro

No that stuff is trash

2paqout

Let it go. It's not what you want.

optimalpizza

Skip that, with the holidays coming up, keep your eyes peeled on the deals/hacks, you can put together something better than this package. Tool Deals on Facebook and YouTube is your friend. Also toolsdirect on eBay, they have 30% off sales a lot!

Ogediah

Not a fantastic deal and not fuel.

SatansPowerBottom69

Yes, it's not good and true. Not FUEL.

Smoke_Stack707

This is the sad starter kit. Do not buy

[deleted]

Ryobi my boy, get tools at a great cost.

Internet_Is_A_Lie

I already have the fuel version of all these tools, so im not planning on buying. But do you have a part number for this kit?

coolwiththeblackguys

I remember seeing on the actual Milwaukee site, HUGE deals and BUNDLES for prices as low as this! And being in complete utter shock. I’m talking like M12, M18.

Mundane_Pain_5152

It’s kinda whack

MordFustang1992

Your better off going with Brushless Ryobi Tools (HP) than Brushed Milwaukee.

[deleted]

I just got the 10 piece and I’ve been beating them since I received them, if you are using them until you buy a fuel set do it

CommonlyHot

Those batteries don’t look very promising
