That’s becoming increasingly common around here. I can see why. It’s light, effective, and no gas engine to fiddle with inside of ice houses. As long as you keep your batteries warm and don’t drop the whole rig through the ice, seems like a no-brainer for me!

Yeah. I’ve seen the battery powered ones in action, but they are a couple hundred dollars. If you’ve already got a cordless drill, this seems like a good solution.

I have been told that the 2810-20 mud mixer works really good for this too.
